Tenho 32 anos, e fui diagnosticado a 8 meses, comecei com VV 30mg e era tudo muito intenso: bastante vontade de fazer tudo, silenciava o excesso na mente, queda brusca de Dopamina no fim do dia (cochilava e acordava zuado) e uma falta absurda de fome, cheguei a perder 5kg em 3 meses (já sou magro).
Daí com o tempo ele foi perdendo eficácia e tentamos diversas abordagens com minha psiquiatra: aumentamos para 50mg, combinamos primeiro com Atentah para controlar a queda, mas me deixou lerdo vivendo no automático sem ver graça na vida, depois que desistimos dele aumentamos para 70mg (que me deixou um Buda porque cortou toda minha raiva), então voltamos a baixar pra 50mg e tentamos Desvenlafaxina, só que comecei a namorar, e o Venla faz impossível você gozar (também é tratamento pra ejaculação precoce), daí trocamos a associação para Bupropriona, tomei durante alguns meses e não senti diferença alguma. Tentamos 70mg do VV novamente, acreditando que seria melhor agora que estou acostumado com a medicação e na verdade foi pessimo porque novamente eu perco toda minha raiva/impulsividade (que já habituei como personalidade).
Em um outro momento tentamos Ritalina de noite para evitar o cochilo porque faz muito mal dormir quebrado, porém de efeito colateral tive paralisia do sono diversos dias seguidos, o que pra mim é terrível pois sofro de alucinações visuais, auditivas e físicas (tormento).
Hoje estou tomando apenas o VV 50mg e Rita pontualmente, mas sinto falta dos efeitos positivos do começo, voltei a ficar esquecido, perdendo tudo em todo lugar, uma preguiça absurda pra fazer qualquer coisa e ainda tenho que lidar com a queda de Dopamina no fim do dia.
O único efeito que perdura nele atualmente é que consigo acalmar a mente e ele tira todo o cansaço existencial, mas ainda não estou pleno.
Alguém de vocês chegou a sentir que o VV foi perdendo efeito? Se sim, como corrigiram?

2024.11.27 04:29 prgmming What's it like working at a small/medium company outside of big tech/startups?
My whole career has been at startups and big tech companies in a major tech city. I've either been building consumer software or, at a bigger company, the underlying infrastructure to support building consumer software. You know, storing people's cat pictures, stuff like this website, etc.
While these tech company jobs can sometimes be high-stress (especially the startups), they have great pay (not so much at the startups), good benefits, like PTO amounts almost comparable with Europe (not so much at startups), and a lot of freedom and trust as long as you get the work done. For example, I would not bother to tell my manageteam that I have a doctor's appointment some day if there wasn't a meeting conflict that I needed to reschedule. I'd just block off my calendar at that time so no one added a meeting. If I'm out sick for an entire week, no one would ever ask for proof.
One thing I remember a professor saying in college was that the majority of software development is B2B contract type stuff, not consumer software. This was before the App Store really took off, so maybe it's not as true as it used to be.
What's working at one of these companies like?
I am thinking, a bit stereotypically, of something that would be headquartered in an office park in the Midwest, or more generally somewhere outside of a tech hub. Sometimes the point of the company would be actual software, but in that case probably a B2B thing. Sometimes it would be a software role at a company that sells services or some other product that happens to contain software. Maybe software for running railroads or a warehouse or something like that.

Goal was to turn this sweater vest into a cropped version, while keeping the original band. I used a dotted zig-zag stitch when sewing the band to it's new position. It turned out wavy, I was mindful not to stretch the fabric as much as I could help, but still came out wonky. Is this unavoidable due to the type of fabric or some other factor?
Also the sides are pointy and unflattering. Is that fixable? I'd like it to be more fitting and feminine. Any tips would be very appreciated, this isnt my first sewing project, but I am still very new and just came back to it after a 6+ month hiatus.

Looking for advice on the most economic way to get from VYR to Cephalonia next Aug, 2025.
We're planning to find a cheap trip to somewhere in Europe, likely Lisbon, Dublin or straight to Athens, then work our way over to Ceph for a wedding later in our two-week trip.
Anyone have experience? I see that you can either fly from Athens or take a ferry from Kyllini, but I would imagine getting to Kyllini takes time anyway... Looking for advice.

2024.11.27 04:29 AstreiaTales How would you foreshadow that a god's identity isn't what the party (reasonably) assumes it is, without giving it away too soon?
TL;DR: My players have uncovered what they believe to be a close national secret, where the true identity of the patron god of their kingdom is one of the ten demigod tyrant-kings who ruled the world for millennia, having turned on his kin to ascend to true divinity.
The answer is... kinda. The god is using said demigod's body as its vessel, and it has the demigod's memories, but the ten demigods all had a divine "spark" that's basically their divine core, their soul, their essence. The demigod helped the mortal revolutionaries by giving them a weapon that could slay its kin, severing their immortal sparks from their bodies - but the real secret, that even the royal family doesn't know, is that to forge this weapon, the demigod used his own spark as a catalyst, and absorbed the other nine to achieve divinity.
This god-killing superweapon, which is going rampant and must be put down, stands a good chance at being the true final boss of the campaign. That it is actually, arguably, the heroic demigod in some form is probably one of the last reveals of the campaign and I want it to have a punch.
The PCs are about to have a conversation with some archangels of the god. If they try to imply that the god and demigod are the same person, how can I have the angels foreshadow it without giving away the last twist?
The Too Long, Section
I need to find a way for a pair of angels to foreshadow that the god they serve is not exactly the ascended demigod that the PCs believe him to be, without fully giving the game away since this is ideally one of the final reveals of the campaign in some of the last sessions, since it has to do with the final boss.
- The world was once ruled by 10 demigods, the Prometheans
- The Prometheans all had a core of divinity, a spark, which is essentially their, well, essence - similar to a soul but not quite
- Even if their body was killed, their spark would resurrect them
- One of the Prometheans was Synataris the Wise, aka Synataris the Lifebinder. He was weaker than the others but more clever, and realized that their purpose was to be "god seeds" and ascend to full divinity.
- Synataris helped the mortal races overthrow his kin, mainly by developing a superweapon that could sever the other Prometheans' bodies from their sparks so they could be truly killed
- He then absorbed the other 9 sparks, using their divine nature to become a true god
- He exists currently as Atar, god of light and the sun, patron god of the Yhorian Empire
- The party has learned all this and reasonably thinks "Atar is Synataris"
- But... not quite. Because to forge the god-killing superweapon, Synataris used as a catalyst his own spark, existing basically as a shade until he could absorb the sparks of his kin
- Atar has Synataris' body and his memories, but lacks what truly made him him; his divine nature is a combination of the other 9.
The party is about to speak with some angels of Atar. If they ask them about Synataris, how do I properly be evasive and foreshadow without giving it all away?

So tonight I called upon Vassago because I lost a dog. Not my dog, but a friend's dog that I was dog sitting. She bolted out as I was trying to put her on the chain to go potty.
An hour and a half went by and I couldn't find her and finally I got the bright idea to call upon Vassago for help, as he is supposed to reveal lost things.
I turned on his enn in my car as I drove around and not 10 min later she appeared. She took off again and I kept searching. 15 min later two young men stopped me and asked if I lost a dog - I said yes and they helped me find and catch her within 20 minutes!!
I FULLY believe Vassago helped with this and I'm so, so grateful.
I'll be doing some divination to the offering to him for this success. I know he wants me to donate $100 in his name somewhere, but not sure where. Leaning towards our humane society to help dogs find homes.
Either way, I'm beyond grateful.

Back when I was in high school, I was living in an apartment complex with my father and stepmother. One night, I had a friend sleeping over. Both my father and stepmother were out and my friend and I were at the apt alone.
It was about 11 pm to 1130 pm when there was a knock at the door. I opened the door, and two police officers were standing in the other side. They pushed their way in and started asking us questions (whose alcohol is that? my parent's. Why do you have books on witchcraft? I like to study different religions. ) Before leaving they told me that my neighbor complained that we were making too much noise and told us to keep it down. We weren't making noise, but whatever.
About 30 minutes later my stepmother came home and I told her about what had happened. She said she would take care of it and told my friend and me to go to bed.
The next morning...
I asked my stepmother about what happened last night. She said that she called the cops on the neighbor for a noise complaint. The cops showed up and knocked on the door. The neighbor would only talk to them through the door and told them they would need a warrant before they would open the door. The cops left and...
They came back with a warrent. Upon entering the apt they found drugs, drug paraphernalia, and alcohol. Not everyone in that group was of age. My neighbor was arrested for possession and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
TL;DR: My stupid neighbor wrongfully called the cops on me, so my stepmother turned the tables and called the cops on them. My VERY stupid neighbor got arrested for drugs.
