I have a project where I need to copy JPG image files from one directory to another.
Step 1 of the process is finding the image in the source directory. The challenge of the source directory is its lack of organization, and it's huge. This step takes several minutes.
For step 1, I use glob() to recursively find all JPG files in the source directory and store all file paths in a dataframe.
Step 2 is looping through the list of filenames to copy, find them in the dataframe, then use shutil to copy.
To find the file path of the desired photo I use:
from_dirs = directory_df[directory_df['Directory'].str.contains('filename', regex = True)
This returns a message stating:
UserWarning: This pattern has match groups. To actually get the groups, use str.extract.
Then returns an empty dataframe.
What is the correct method to find the correct source directory in the dataframe?
I think the issue has something to do with the file paths in the dataframe not being stored as raw strings....

Hey All,
Silly question. I am using the front 3 fans as intakes and will have an AIO top mounted for exhaust.
I will try to fit a rear exhaust fan as well dependant on AIO tube position.
With that said, there is a side mount for 2 fans and there's a mount at the bottom of the case for 2 more fans.
Which direction should these fans face with my proposed configuration? Side - in, bottom - out? Vice versa?

 | I think I last had turkey about 15 years ago. My mother was a horrible cook but even a clock is right twice a day and somehow she made turkey that was juicy, tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned with some kind of stuffing that could sl for a lot of money at a restaurant, baked beans that really was good, cheesecake and she'd use the organ meat for that stuffing, yeah, like some kind of miracle every year as a kid I actually looked forward to Thanksgiving for the food.  | I'm currently practising the "flick" of the foot in the kick flip, and trying to land at least the front foot. I heard that naturally a kickflip should end up slightly behind the body, but my ones are going slightly in front. Is that something to worry about? 2024.11.27 01:50 CosmicReactions New Cat peeing everywhere and using the litter box
Hey guys, so my partner and I adopted a 2 year old cat from our local shelter. He is known to be a lap cat and he came out to play and for scrarches with us when we went to see him. It looked like we really got along and we adopted him exactly a week ago. He has been vaccinated, desexed, and microchipped.
When we got him home, he bolted to under the bed and he only comes out at night at around 11pm. We are usually awake so when he does come out he sometimes plays with us or he won't come out at all until we go to bed in a different room.
He has 2 litter boxes. He uses one of them and just rolls around on the other. He has his cat trees and toys too, that he plays with us or seems like he plays with them when we're sleeping.
He has no problem using the litter box. But along with that he has also been peeing in other areas of the house - bed (twice), couch, mat. So we figured it could be the soft things and covered the couch and bed with plastic sheets. He's always done this only at night when we're sleeping.
We always make it a point to clean out his litter box immediately or its the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning (if he has used it when we're asleep).
During the day, he has never gotten out of under the bed despite trying to entice him with treats, toys, or catnip. So we've just let him be. But the peeing is getting out of hand. This morning, I woke up to his pee on the kitchen floor and in front of the door (nothing soft here and it's on the tile).
Before this, he came out yesterday, ate, used the litter box (which I then cleaned), played with me and let me brush him, and overall looked really happy with positive signs from his body language.
Vet says nothing is wrong and that it could be that he's scarred in the new place. But the fact that he's peeing sometimes, playing with us, eating all his food (he eats his day's worth when he comes out at night), using the litter box, has us scratching our heads on what to do.
Post ended up being a bit longer, so apologies. We are new cat parents and any sort of help/feedback is appreciated!
