Hey yall,
I want to get into the MG brand. I have yet to go for a test ride but wanted to hear from those of you with some experience with both these models.
I live in Socal and I commute 120 miles a day, 60 miles one way. Traffic is very heavy and I spend most of my time lanesplitting which is legal here. The later portion of my commute frees up and average freeway speeds is around 80mph.
On paper, the V100 seems like the bike to get but the heart wants the V7. I love the simplicity of the V7 and feel more confident doing big miles on a proven platform over the new V100. Plus, based on my youtube research, the v7 sounds so much nicer with some aftermarket pipes than the V100. I also suspect that ease maintenance and cost favors the V7.
Am I crazy? Should I shoot for the V100? What would you do in my position?

A LOT of spoilers for Crocodile Tears! Top secret if you haven't read...
I am currently rereading the series, and so far, I believe Crocodile Tears is the most brutal mission for Alex's well-being. Every chapter feels like another reason to make Alex suffer more. Don't get me wrong; I don't hate it, but all that was on my mind was "poor kid." Anyone else has the same feeling?
So here is a list of Alex's misfortunes in Crocodile Tears : - Thrown off a bridge at the bottom of a frozen lake. Oh and he also has to carry Sabina's father to the surface. You know. No pressure or anything. - As usual, the poor boy has to dodge bullets while every guard tries to murder him in Greenfields. - CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE FIGHT IN THE GREENHOUSE ? First, he cuts himself from all the glass... And Alex has zero protection with all the monsters hiding in there, even touching a leaf is deadly. I would have freaked out if it was me. The nerves of this kid... It's concerning. Oh yeah, Alex does end up burning his hand with a web, but he forgets about it as he has another bigger problem. - Escapes with his made-up slide but (probably) ends up with a couple of cracked ribs. What is crazy is that a lot of this mission involves him hanging so it must be utter agony. - The whole fire at the African Village Set. Imagine being trapped in a air conduit barely large enough for you while the walls are getting hotter and hotter and hotter. Baked alive in an twisted oven.
- THE KIDNAPPING. Those bastards had no scruples drugging a kid and tossing him up on the floor of the van. Not even on a seat. Oh yeah. Drugging him once wasn't enough - "Hey guys, what about we keep him on hard drugs for like 10 hours in a row, but like, not unconscious, just unable to move a muscle to terrify him further?" Alex was in plain sight, unable to call for help. Anyone would go mad... And the lady had the audacity to humiliate him further by trying to feed him baby food. I thought this is the most f*cked thing of the entire series (as psychological trauma). It was the main thing I remembered before my reread.
- The famous crocodile scene. Absolutely diabolical torture. Forcing a fourteen-year-old to hang on a bar or be eaten alive by crocodiles?? Reminder at this point that Alex probably cracked his ribs, one of his hand is burned from the spider toxine. He also probably have symptoms for the long drug use. I can't even imagine the pain he must be in. And when finally an adult decides to rescue him, he still has to swing himself over... and save the world.
- All the climatic just get Alex more and more beaten but let me underline getting spear thrown at him, having to catch a rope at 35 miles per hour and climb unto the pain (REMINDER THAT ALEX JUST GOT TORTURED FROM HAVING TO HANG ON SOMETHING - his muscles must be burning even more), the final fight where he BREAKS HIS ANKLE (still has to get away!) and GETS SEVERELY BURNED.
I probably forgot a bunch but yeah. I think Alex got the most psychologically hurt in Snakehead only to get physically harmed a ton in the next mission.
GIVE THE KID A BREAK.

The title was just a funny question. I’m aware that I can’t ungay myself but hear me out when I say this and why I say this. I’m currently 22 and I’ve been on Grindr since I was 18. I’ve had many hookups and things happen over that course and I used to tell myself I was stupid and irresponsible fucking random people as if that is who I was and I gave myself a lot of bad talk for it. Now that I’m 22 I look back and wish I would have done more and more of a “hoe” to feel satisfied. Now Grindr is pretty dried up, so is Sniffies, and the culture is different. Guys never actually want to meet anymore and they seem to only get on when they are bored or want to see pics. I literally haven’t had a hookup in like 6 months and I’m on like everyday. Guys ghost much more, guys only want to trade pics then not meet up, and biggest of all….guys have been extra rude, and difficult lately. Guys will use derogatory words towards me and make jokes about how I look in my pictures and say I was too dark. Sometimes I’ve linked with people and had a great time and they’ve always said “next time this and next time that” and when next time rolls around they don’t even text u back to have a repeat. (I’m a black man, who is a bottom) And I used to get so many compliments on my body and ass so often it was unreal. I used to have guys literally begging for more pics because my ass was so fat and round yet I was fit and muscular because I work out. Recently I’ve had a number of guys that were on the fence of being FWB but each one of them either randomly blocked me, or just randomly ghosted (each were guys I fucked numerous times each). When they sit on the app for long enough to not get a hookup then they hit me up after ghosting me every time I text them. Now it’s messed with my confidence because I know I’m attractive and I hear it when I see people in person that I’m hot but guys on Grindr are always assholes to me.
Essentially now I’m getting to the point I don’t even like guys anymore. I like dick and hot guys bodies but the shit that men do has literally driven me to my final destination. I deleted Grindr and everything else and I’m investing in a dildo.
If u made it this far thank you. I really just needed some advice and someone to listen to me vent.
Not sure what happened to regular hookup culture but I’m a super dl and closeted man so Grindr was my only way to explore my sexuality. Now that I’ve deleted it idk where to go frm here.

2024.11.27 03:51 one_confused_chicken Anger and overcoming?

I’m just wondering if anyone has any insights about managing angry outbursts? From time to time, I get upset about things that I know are valid reasons to be upset… but my reaction is to immediately sort of escalate into yelling and I have a hard time reining it in. And if anyone tells me to calm down it makes me more emotional. Crying. Hyperverbal. Yelling. Hyper vigilant.
Most of the time, in these situations I have a valid concern… and I think it’s when I’m not feeling heard, or not believed that is most likely to send me over the edge. 🫣 I do have anxiety and take low dose anti anxiety medication, and I’m wondering - is this an anxiety attack? Trauma response? Should I see about having my meds adjusted? I also have a hormone imbalance that is being treated and I’m feeling better - further between these emotional overwhelm moments.
The crazy thing is, I can feel it like I’m becoming the hulk. I try to control it by disengaging but if I keep talking, my voice just ratchets up and then I start crying and it’s just not how I want to be. Anyone else? Anything that’s helped?

2024.11.27 03:51 spongeguybobguy Ever notice how a fair bit of Genshin Impact’s story quests end up devolving into “My moral philosophy > yours” (Chasca story quest spoilers)

I’ve thought this for a while now, but it’s a common theme for a lot of characters story quests to focus on their righteousness; more specifically when compared to another NPC character’s standing on a similar topic.
Normally this would be fine, but genshin in particular seems to treat these subjects with an extraordinarily black and white view in order to showcase how X playable character is super cool and absolutely in the right. Case in point: Chasca’s story quests.
This is not me saying that the message of the story quest is wrong, and that saurians are dispensable for the sake of humanity’s future, but the story quest all the way to its resolution never bothers to take into consideration the nuances of such a subject, without first bringing into question the moral standings of the villainous character. It resolves on the tried and true point of ‘the ends don’t justify the means’, without looking at how such a technology could be improved for the benefit of humans and saurians alike. All because the villain character is a prick who doesn’t like saurians, and her kid died without experiencing the skies.
Another one in a similar vain is Chiori’s story quest, where the antagonist does a bunch of shady and frankly laudable things throughout the story. However, they use this as a crux to also discredit his beliefs on what fashion is, and almost tells us that Chiori’s viewpoint is right and Uther is wrong. And I just don’t believe it works that way, as a person’s beliefs are oftentimes brought upon by their own personal experience of in specific fields of research. Genshin does everything in its power to oftentimes villainize the antagonists of various stories, and justify the main character of said quest tearing them and everything that they believe in simply because they are objectively ‘right’ to do so in that specific situation.
And it just makes it a slog to sit through specific story quests for me, since they never let the player formulate their own opinions on these “moral qualms” that they present as a central conflict to these quests, since the MC of that story quest will oftentimes do it for them.
I know they’re trying to sell these characters, but man am I sold on these quest’s…
