2024.11.27 05:31 dukerustfield Am I the only one who feels like the biggest loser-dork in the world when I do romance options?
I realize a lot of gamers are in different age demographics. I’m on the older side. Played the earliest arcade games.
But it’s just pixels. I don’t get emotional. I blow through most heavy story options and skip to me shooting ppl and the fixer complaining.
There’s a LOT of posts on romance this and that and in my zillion playthroughs I’ve maybe done a few romance scenes and felt like a mega dweeb.
Is everyone a free love V or is there a silent majority/minority who thinks games is for Total Carnage and attempts at lovey dovey make us realize we’re still single? And/or there’s a real life SO right there and we don’t need substitutes.

I couldn’t really find much in search so I hope this post is ok!
I was recently diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. The day I got home from the hospital, I got a call from a nurse employed by my insurance company. She’s called me once a week since just to check in. She’s super nice and I don’t feel awkward talking to her and she’s been helpful so far, and I know that they are in place to assist with making sure you’re getting the right care and potentially help you find cheaper alternative treatments.
My question is, has anyone had good or bad experiences using them as a resource? Obviously being new to all of this, I want to accept all the help being offered to me, but I also don’t want to put myself at risk of being taken advantage of. On one hand, this person knows the system way better than I do, but on the other, I worry that she’s only looking out for the needs of my insurance company and not my best interests in the long-term. So just looking for any pros and cons that people might have who have worked with them before. Thank you!

In summer of this year I joined a friend group to play online with. One of the guys is super religious, I didn't really care at the start because most of the other guys in the friend group are really cool and have many of the same interests as me. Recently the guy started bringing more of JESUS into our chats in the group. Whenever we played he would be annoying and basically only talk about god. Yesterday he made a joke about how "atheists would not be denying god once they face enternal punishment" or something. Idk how to tell him how to tell him that the joke is rude, and his shit Is annoying without coming off as a bitch

I know it sounds unkind,
but I like to see people having bad luck, bad lives, even if it's someone I don't know,
that's why I never look at instagram or FB, because I don't want to see pictures of people travelling, hanging out with good looking and sexy people, and every time I see it I'm just going to be in a really bad mood for a couple of days.
Then you start to be in a state of bitter jealousy that he had the money to travel and I don't.
Then you start thinking about the mistakes you have made in your life, etc.
At the same time, I enjoy watching other people's bad luck, and I often like to watch YT videos of people who are having a hard time in their lives, which makes me feel good about my life.
I don't know if this is a common thing or just me.
I only want to see bad news about other people.
