My Xbox keeps turning off while I try to play stalker 2, at the beginning it let me play for a while like a couple hours then my Xbox would turn off, now I can’t play for even a couple minutes without my Xbox turning off. It isn’t telling me it’s overheating or anything like it did in the past it just shuts off. Any fixes?

Started my job not too long ago and after a few weeks I noticed a really cute guy who also works there, we work in separate departments but ever since I started noticing him, I noticed he stares at me a lot and works in front of my department more often.
So far we’ve only had 1 real conversation and I clammed up and didn’t say much. I lose every brain cell when he’s around and all I can focus on is not having a heart attack. The first week or two he was constantly staring at me and smiling. He’d come into the bakery where I work to talk to my male coworkers and he’d just stare at me the entire time. I had my back turned to him one day and I guess he didn’t realize I could see his reflection and he turned around to look at me and start smiling twice. He’s complimented my shirt but he was pretty quiet and didn’t really look at me when he said it, so I was confused and just mumbled thanks. Which I cringe every time I think about how awkward I was.
The thing is, as of this past week he’s been staring but not really smiling. Sometimes he actually looks kinda annoyed that I’m there. Like today, when he came in I was going on break, walked past each other and I smiled but he just looked away. But then once I came back he kept staring at me and he’s always purposely looking into the bakery to see me. Sometimes I catch him trying really hard not to look at me. I’ll literally see him stop himself. Why?? I’ve made it so painfully obvious that I think he’s cute. I would think he knows he won’t get rejected.
I’m getting mixed signals and it’s causing me to not be able to get over this crush. Everyone tells me it’s a temporary crush, but as time goes on I literally cannot stand the fact that we haven’t really talked. I’ll build up the courage all day but once I get the chance to talk to him, I get so nervous my body is already walking away before I even realized I just fucked up my chance. I’ve never had a crush this intense, I’ve never felt like such a kid going out of my way to hope he looks at me or talks to me. Does it sound like he might have a girlfriend? Or maybe just shy? Scared of rejection? Whatever it is, I can’t stand it. Is there any clever way to try and ease into a conversation with him? We only really see each other in passing or when he’s restocking produce, so asking how he’s doing is kinda weird. Idk. Helpppp

2024.11.27 03:41 Substantial-Sun-4706 Door Dash won't refund me. Now wants proof of a return that they can see in their system.
I had surgery last month was unable to get out of bed. Decided to purchase a smart watch through DD they purchased the Watch through Best Buy. The total transaction cost me $265.
After being able to get out of bed after surgery and use the watch more, I decided I wanted to return the watch. On the Best Buy receipt it says I can. I called Door Dash said I'd like to return the watch. They told me I could take it to Best Buy but it's no longer their problem. At that point, I knew I not longer wanted to shop Door Dash horrible customer service.
I took the watch to Best Buy, they let me return the watch, but said because Credit Card purchases get refunded to the original card of purchase the refund will be issued to Door Dash and Door Dash would refund me.
I called Door Dash the next day wondering when my refund would be issued. He said he can see the watch returd and it'd be 5 to 7 days. No refund was issued in that time. I was literally told my refund should be procecessed
Today I called Door Dash 8 days still no refund. And the girl confirmed I returned the watch but said I was already refunded through Best Buy. I told her it's impossible they Refunded Door Dashes Card and that I had no watch or refund. Then she wanted proof I returned the watch at all. I told her she has that in her system. She then said she'd need to escalate the call.
On the escalated call, I was asked if I wanted a refund or Door Dash Credits. I said a refund, after saying that then they wanted proof by receipt I returned the watch at all and proof the refund was issued to their card. After telling me all that information is already in their system.
I've provided that proof now too. Though, it apparent now they have no intention of refunding me. Have lied over and over. And it's all delays and misinformation. Filed a dispute with my credit card. Sent Door Dash proof and will be filing complaints with any government agency that is willing to listen. Im sure consumer laws have been broken.
FYI and Best Buy I got to see what Door Dash actually paid for the watch. They paid 223, I was charged 265 with the tip included. That's the cost of doing business l, I get that, but considering it took them 1 hour and 3 miles to get the watch to me 40 is a really steep price. I will never do business with Door Dash again.

I loved playing MK1-5, and Subzero as a kid in the 90’s and early 2000s.
I recently picked up Mortal Kombat XL for $5. This is the first one I’ve played since Deadly Alliance (stopped playing games for 20 years). Gameplay is decent. I don’t love random pop culture references. I picked up MK 11 base game and the 1/2 the characters are hidden behind DLC. Same with Mortal Kombat 1.
So you have these amazing roster of characters and they pick Rambo and the T-800 from Terminator: Dark Fate (which bombed at the box office)? It just seems really… idk greedy?
Instead of Ghostface, have Sheeva or Goro, etc. idk. Maybe I’m too old for this but it seems rather greedy to lock 1/2 the characters behind dlc and then have those characters come from random ass movies. Mortal Kombat 1992 still holds up today. Mortal Kombat 1 is not going to hold up in 30 years with extremely dated pop culture references.

Hey everyone,
My first time posting in reddit, but just had a really frustrating race and thought it might be helpful to get more experienced runners' insights... I just ran the Philadelphia Marathon on Sunday, and I feel like I epically flubbed it. I was following a sub 3:45 plan (downloaded from runner's world), given that I ran it last year (got 4:13 and had a lot left in the tank) and since I'm not great with running tangents, I figured giving myself a half mile of wiggle room would give me more than enough time to get sub 4hrs- my actual goal. It wasn't too difficult to keep up with the plan- but it definitely wasn't easy either. I figured even if I didn't get sub 3:45, I'd get least hit somewhere in the 3:50s- but even without missing a workout or anything, and staying disciplined with sleep and nutrition, cross training, speed training, and weight lifting, I finished at 4:07. My hamstring and then calf started giving out somewhere around mile 18, and it just got uglier from there. Maybe relatedly, I'm a PhD student and unluckily had two out of three of my qualifying exams the Mon/Thurs before my marathon-- and in addition to training, have been cramming since Sept (at least 6 hours in the library just reading). I think my biggest questions are, how was I so off from my goal? Does mental stress really have that much of an impact on runners the week of a race? Is there something more or different I should have done? I'm just really demoralized and sort of shocked from being so far off from something I spent months obsessing over and thinking I'd be able to accomplish. Any tidbits or pieces of advice would be great 💙🙏🏽
