2024.11.27 05:50 1_Just_Trying i’m starting to like a guy i shouldn’t— what should i do?
there’s a guy i’ve been becoming more close with. but the most recent times we’ve been hanging out, he’s been treating me so well and so nice that i’m starting to catch feelings.
normally when we hang out, it’s me and him with other people. but the most recent times we’ve been hanging out, it’s just been me and him.
the other day, we stayed on school campus until 6:00PM. we studied, did homework, and (mostly) talked about ourselves. i planned on heading to a cafe afterward by myself to buy treats for one of my family friends, and as courtesy, i invited him to come with me. he came along, and he even paid for my pastry (not including the pastries i bought for my family friends), despite me offering to pay for the both of us.
we hung out again today. i was at work (i worked a 12-hour hospital shift), and he told me he was on campus studying. i jokingly asked if he wanted me to join him (the hospital i work at is down the road from our school), and he said yes. [i don’t normally do this. not even for my friends. if i have work, i go straight home, making no stops along the way. but for this guy, i did.] i headed to school immediately after campus, expecting to spend the time to study, but instead he drove us to get coffee. at the cafe, we talked and messed around (not that way). and when we headed back to his car and to school, we just continued talking and “mess around”. (he would tease me or i’d tease him). when we got back to the school campus, we stayed in his car for almost two hours just talking, laughing, and telling stories.
he’s the type of guy who’s so sweet and kind. he gave me a ride in his car just so i didn’t have to walk in the cold to get to my car (my car was parked 2 rows away). he always opens the passenger door for me even though i can do it myself. same thing with my chair— if we pick a table to sit at, he’ll pull out my chair for me so i can sit first.
and then when we do hang out… when we sit next to each other, we sit super close. either our knees or our shoes touch. and when we walk next to each other, our arms are always touching.
i’ve had and currently have other male friends— we don’t do any of these things me and this guy do.
tl;dr: i’m starting to develop feelings for one of my guy friends because of the way he treats me, but i know he only wants to be friends because he keeps saying that he’s not ready to get back into another relationship yet. what should i do?

I've been dealing with severe anxiety for so long that I forget that most people don't go through it and get really freaked out if someone has a panic attack in front of them. I've been trying to figure out a way to explain how it feels in a very generalized way but I'm not sure that there is an accurate way to explain it. It's so much more than just stress triggering flight or fight, sometimes I'm unaware of what triggers it, other times there was no trigger event at all. It's not just an adrenaline dump that causes my BPM to skyrocket and making me hyperventilate to the point where I think I'm dying. It's so complex and if you have never experienced a serious panic attack there really is no combination of words I can use to give you the slightest notion of what I'm talking about. It's like a virus, always learning and adapting so that what may help calm you down today does absolutely nothing two days later. It's good to know that there are others that are dealing with similar severity and not giving up on life. Honestly, this is more of a vent than a cry for help. Just throwing my impotent rage out into the ether. Things have gone from bad to worse after 40. About two years ago I had a life altering attack, it was truly horrific but the severity wasn't what set it apart. It was how long it lasted that made it the worst experience of my entire life. It lasted for over a month. I don't mean multiple attacks in the span of a month, it was literally one single attack that lasted over thirty days. That state you get into when you're dealing with a panic attack, I don't know how to describe the feeling but I'm sure most of you know exactly what I'm talking about when I say the mind set that comes when you are in the depths of a severe attack. The peak when the panic is all consuming, I lived there and was acutely aware that I was in hell for that long. I'm sure others have had even longer than that and you have my deepest sympathy. For me it was too much to handle and when I decided that this was going to be the way my life was going to be from then on, I opted out. Luckily, I'm not very good at dying so I'm still here venting to you fine folks. Basically I'm just using way more words than necessary to say panic sucks and I want it to not exist

Im an actor originally from NYC. I just recently moved to a small town named Eugene in Oregon. There’s some community theatre and the local University does productions for its Theatre Department. My mom suggests I audition and I consider it, but personally I feel like there’s not a point to it.
- I’m mainly into acting for TV/Film. I’ve done plays and I enjoy them, but I feel like I should really focus more on auditioning for TV/Film gigs if that’s what I’m most interested in.
- Most of these places do not pay you. It’s free work. While I do think connection and experience is nice. I also feel that as a adult I should be paid for my work. It does personally bother me a bit that a theatre has you dedicate so much time and effort…but not pay you or even give you some type of stipend in the end. Yes, it’s nice to pursue things for your passions, but at the end of the day we have bills to pay.
- I truly don’t feel like it’ll offer much. Some learning and experience? Yes. However, in terms of networking and connections - I don’t think I’m going to meet anyone in this town who magically has strong ties to Hollywood and big people.

So it seems Macrium Reflect can't understand what's on a Vercarypt volume, EVEN WHEN it's mounted and unlocked.
The whole volume just shows as "unformatted".
I have (unlocked) BitLocker encrypted volumes on my PC, and it has no issues with those.
Has anyone used this software and found this to NOT be the case? Possibly a bug on my end...?
