I bought my 2004 Honda fit about 3 years ago and the guy told me the AC was a little low on gas. It blew cold but just took a while to get there. Well it's gotten worse and worse and going into summer I figured I'd better get it fixed. First thing of note is that I can't seem to tell if the compressor clutch is working. The AC button light is broken so there's no way to tell which is on/off (when it worked I used to just press it, wait, and then press it again if it wasn't on). I popped the hood and looked at all the belts around the compressor but they all seem to spin regardless of pushing the button, but the RPM does go up and down when you press it.
Anyway I figured it wasn't the end of the world if the compressor was permanently on (realistically I only need the car to last one more summer). I bought one of those CRC recharge kits, connected the hose to the low pressure valve and checked the gauge to see it shot up to 160psi!! My understanding is it should be around 35.
There's a guy in Auckland that does call out AC service, is it worth getting him to come take a look/degass the system or do I need to take it into a mechanic? Is it likely to be fixed with a degass or is there more to be done, and any guesses on how much this might cost? Thanks!

I need to send CC0 - Bank Select out of my Ableton Session to my Behringer x32. I was using Logic before which has CC0 as an option but Ableton begins with Pitch Bend and Channel Pressure then skips CC0 and goes from "1: Modulation" onward. See the screen shots below.

for some backround, i got my baby german shepard choco (male) around October 6th and he was just a tiny baby. Now he is currently 2 months 1/2 and he is still a tiny baby. i just got a husky who is also a male and he is around 5 months on dec 1st. They get along decently well but there will be times where they play to rough. Does anybody have any input on what i should do? I was thinking to separate them until choco the gsd grows or maybe im just being paranoid. And of course, there’s the size difference. they are both the cutest tho lol. I was also thinking of buying protein filled food to feed choco so maybe he can gain more muscle?

Not buying anything too expensive just yet, vut I am trying to get a bit of variety. If anyone has a cheap spot to pick up some Trout or Salmon (I have 4 cans of the cheap Bumble Bee Smoked Coho Salmon on the way) but Trout seems to be eluding me for a relatively affordable price.

D. 0 < x ≤ 3/2 or x ≥ 5/2
E. No solution

The "Aha!" Moment

A student confidently declared: "Ma'am, why can't we just split it at x = 2? When x is less than 2, the expression will be negative, and when x is greater than 2, it will be positive."
I almost agreed... until something stopped me dead in my tracks.
Let's test this logic with x = 1:
· When x = 1:
· -4(1) + 8 = 4
Wait... 4 is POSITIVE? But x = 1 is less than 2... shouldn't this be negative? 🤔

The Mind-Bending Revelation

Here's what makes this problem fascinating: the negative coefficient (-4) completely flips our intuition upside down. Here's why:

As x increases, -4x becomes MORE negative
Therefore, -4x + 8 actually DECREASES as x increases
Traditional intuition = shattered
Why Students Fall Into The Trap

Nearly 80% of my students pick Choice E (No solution). Here's their typical thought process:

"For x < 2: Expression must be negative" (Wrong!)
"For x > 2: Expression must be positive" (Wrong again!)
When they solve with these assumptions, they get contradictory results
Conclusion: "No solution exists!"

The GMAT's Brilliant Twist

Here's what makes this question genius:
With a positive coefficient (like |2x - 4|):

As x increases → expression increases
Split point cleanly divides negative/positive regions

But with a negative coefficient (like |-4x + 8|):

As x increases → expression DECREASES
Everything you thought you knew gets reversed!
The Correct Solution Path

Find the zero point: -4x + 8 = 0 → x = 2
Critical realization: For x < 2, expression is POSITIVE (not negative!)
For x > 2, expression is NEGATIVE (not positive!)
Solve |-4x + 8| ≥ 2 algebraically

This leads us to: 0 < x ≤ 3/2 or x ≥ 5/2 (Choice D)

TL;DR

When you see a negative coefficient in an absolute value inequality:

Your "less than = negative, greater than = positive" instinct will betray you
The expression DECREASES as x increases
Don't fall for the "No solution" trap - that's exactly what the GMAT wants!

I took plan b on 10th october, and then unfortunately had to take another a week later. After two incidents I'm on the pill now. But my period is late by four weeks. Yes. Four weeks! I have my usual PMS symptoms and it's making me agitated because there's no blood.
I took 5 pregnancy tests and they're all negative so I'm not worried, but is this normal? I just wanna hear what other ladies experiences are.
