Man, I want to cry every time I have to list my skills/strengths because I cannot think of a single good thing about me or my work. In theory, I know I have appropriate knowledge and relevant skills to the Master's program I'm applying to, but it is really hard to write positively about yourself when you have nothing nice to say. My mind is completely blank. I fear I'm going to sabotage myself and write half-assed SoPs and personal statements because I hate myself so much. Writing about how I've "overcome" my struggles feels so disingenuous.

Wow. Feels like a whole new game. Tattoos? 2nd ascendancies? Charms? WTF is all this?! :) :)
I have a whole list of builds from previous leagues and I've been trying them out in standard but 9/10 of them are just broken completely.
Seeking help from you POE gods:
1) Can any of my builds still work? Check: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/mythal-3683/characters Mythye seems to work OK still (champion EA ballista) - can it be improved? Mythyr works OK but lots has been gimped (guard aurastacker, used to run 5-way/reset with it, or run SRS when soloing/playing with my daughters necro). Mythul used to be my heist runner, now its pretty crap - how can I improve? Mythod used to CRAAACK and now im not sure what to do to fix it (boneshatter jugg with crucible axe - should really recraft it, but decent - best used with fissure or molten strike tho). Mythed still works (ED/cont/blight occultist) but what is it missing??? A LOT less powerful than it used to be...
2) If you actually take time to look at my builds thanks! Otherwise - what im really looking for is: - Bosser build - Heist build - Mapper build
Can any of my existing builds be updated for these roles or do you suggest another build?
I've played since 2010 alpha so I have a crapton of legacy stuff. OMG you dont wanna sift through my 400+ tabs but I probably have "x legacy item" somewhere...

Switch - Netgear l2 managed cloud switch
Client - z4 workstation
Kindly let me know of areas to check that I may of overlooked. I've lost sleep on this one. I am looking into the networking portion of it more as it just can't seem to reach the server.

Hi everyone, I’m noticing an issue in certain interiors (like Proudspire Manor) where it looks like my character is walking inside a bubble of clear air. Outside this bubble, the air becomes very foggy, and the boundary between the clear "bubble" and the foggy surroundings is stark and quite immersion-breaking. It just looks... off.
I suspect this might have something to do with the ENB I’m using (Natural Horizons 2), but I’m not entirely sure. Could it be a load order thing with Lighting mod (Lux) or fog mods (I have a couple)?
Is this something I can fix? If so, what settings or changes should I look into? Any guidance would be much appreciated!

I have the opportunity to adopt a cat from a rescue charity that rehomes pets from Abu Dhabi to the UK. I have had cats for most of my life but I have never been the main caretaker - they were family cats so my parents / sister were mainly responsible for feeding, litter box and vet visits.
I live with my partner in a two bed flat. My partner had also had a family cat. We are both at home quite a lot (my partner works a fully remote job so is at home all the time, I am in the office three days a week and we are generally homebodies, we go on holiday max like three times a year for one to two weeks) and are financially stable so have the means to take care of a cat.
I am hesitant at the moment primarily because I work quite an intense job as a corporate lawyer. I am often working until quite late (like around 9 to 11pm or later finishes when busy), by which time I usually want to decompress and spend time by myself before bed. I am worried I wouldn’t be able to devote the time and attention to a cat and would have to heavily rely on my partner to provide it with stimulation, and that he would grow to resent me for it. My partner is supportive of us getting a cat but he is not a huge cat lover like I am, he’s just ok with cats but has said he would be willing (and expects) he would have to do most of the care work because of my job.
Would you still adopt in my circumstances? Or should I wait until I move to a less intense job? Has anyone here had experience of caring for a cat whilst working a busy job?

I dreamt an animal being mutilated and I couldn't do anything except watching. It was like I was external to the dream and scene, I watched this man that had this animal (it was an animal with horns, but my brain processed it like if it was a horse) and he mutilated his horns and parts of the body/face because apparently it could be ''better' for some competition he had with another man that possesed another similar animal. I watched the animal being fully alive and the process of turning in something weak and in pain and mutilated forever, it was still alive after, just totally disfigured. This dream really disturbed me and I can't interpret it. Any ideas?

I see so many posts on this subrebbit about “I found so and so bug/worm/insect/arachnid/etc” in my viv, how do I get rid of it!”
Best way to get rid of them is to prevent them in the first place!
Everything that goes in your viv should be sterilized in one way or another.
Plants should be removed from their original substrate and dipped in bleach solution (neherpteculture has a great step by step guide on their website) before going into your viv
All wood branches and cork bark pieces should be either boiled, baked, frozen, submerged in water for a long period of time, or even two of the above methods for good measure. Same goes for pumice and other botanicals that go into the viv.
Leaf litter should also be sterilized like mentioned above. Yes even if purchased from a reputable dart frog supply seller.
The above is double true for everything collected from out in nature!
Some things you simply aren’t able to sterilize with a normal home situation, like the substrate for example, so that is why you need to choose your products from reliable frog/pet related sellers that will sell quality/clean product that is also free of fertilizers/insecticides etc.
The tank/viv/bin/enclosure itself should be sterilized before use, and almost everything non organic that goes into the viv like film canisters, Petri dishes, water bowls, tad pools, etc. I usually wipe it down with damp paper towel or submerge in diluted rubbing alcohol. Wipe dry and often let sit overnight so I know for sure the alcohol is fully evaporated before putting it into the viv.
Some may feel it’s overblown. And it’s impossible to sterilize every single thing these frogs may get close to, but you should try try your best and do your due diligence in order to stop pests/pathogens/diseases/chemicals/ etc. etc. from invading/ruining/ your viv and potentially killing your frogs!
Anyone think it’s complete bologna? Listen, I’m sure there are people out there that have not sterilized a single thing and have a completely fine viv and frogs, just like I’m sure there’s people out there that never wear a seatbelt when they drive and have been fine. But when they finally get in a car accident what’s the one thing they’re gonna wish they had done?

2024.11.27 09:40 retromods_a2z Does a region modded 3chip SNES/SFC have accurate speeds in both 50/60hz, or just close enough?
I noticed there are not really any DFO mods for SNES 3 chip systems, only for 1chips.
I've read in the past the system can generate the correct clocks without a DFO but I don't understand how that can be? I think there is an extra oscillator on some systems but that it's only for generating color subcarrier frequency maybe?
Is a simple switch actually generating the exact frequency, specifically if I have a SFC with 50hz, is that 50hz frequency the exact same as it would be on a PAL console?
