2024.11.27 12:30 Nearby_Virus_5417 Do you submit your SAC form when you first take a course, or when you repeat it?
Title, but I'm 99% I'll need to take mat102 in the summer again, so do I submit my form now, or in the summer? I'm getting conflicting answers online when I searched it up, and the official SAC page is quite vague.

2024.11.27 12:30 Fabianzzz Whatcha Reading Wednesday?
Dionysus is a god of literature: be it theatre, poetry, or sacred texts, his myths and cult often involve using the written word. Dionysus himself enjoys reading, as he says in Aristophanes' Frogs: he was reading Euripides' Andromache while at sea. So, Dionysians, what have y'all been reading?

2024.11.27 12:30 sleep300 What If AI Could Help Organize Your Therapy Thoughts? Your Feedback Wanted!
Have you ever found yourself unsure of what to talk about during a therapy session? I’ve faced this too, and it made me wonder: what if there was an AI tool where you could casually share your worries or feelings before your session, and it would help organize your thoughts for you?
I’m considering developing something like this—a simple and private tool to help prepare for therapy. Before diving in, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Would this kind of tool be helpful for you? Or are there other features you’d want to see?
I’m all ears for your feedback and ideas!

2024.11.27 12:30 Ok_Entrance3181 Children's/young adult horror(?) novel set in 1800s or early 1900s about a girl who finds a rag or straw doll haunted by the spirits of a murdered little girl and the evil parent who killed her
I read this book in my middle school's library in 2001 or 2002, but I believe the book was fairly old (as in 1960s or 70s, I think). I have a vague memory of the book have a pale pinkish or beige cover with just a simple black ink illustration, and I think the title had something to do with a mill? A haunting?
A young girl moves somewhere out in the country to an old house(?) and finds a ragdoll, I think stuffed with straw? The tone of the book was melancholy and creepy, but I get the feeling there was a mystery and coming of age bent to it as well. I remember there being a sort of red herring-ish set up, where we are led to believe she is haunted by the ghost of the murdered girl and it doesn't seem antagonistic at first, but the girl befriends a boy, I think a gypsy, who takes her to see his... aunt? Grandmother? Who tells her the doll is actually bad stuff and burns it. There is a scene about the murdered girl being taken to the bog and disposed of by her evil parent, maybe her mother.
I think I've forgotten a lot of the book and just these creepier scenes stuck with me, because I feel like I remember the end to the ghost mystery coming long before the end of the book, and being sort of disinterested in what came after.
