Update after posting a version of this last week, adding FEI SOR for elite teams as well
Taking a look at teams that are getting more or less credit from the CFP committee than you'd expect based on their record, I'm comparing differences between CFP rankings and two strength of record measures: ESPN's strength of record and FEI elite team strength of record.
ESPN's Strength of Record is based on ESPN's FPI and they describe it as:
Reflects chance that an average Top 25 team would have team's record or better, given the schedule.FEI's Elite Team Strength of Record is based on Brian Fremeau's FEI, and he describes it as taking his elite team SOS:
the number of losses a team two standard deviations above average would expect to have against the schedule of opponentsand finding SOR by looking at:
the difference between a team's schedule strength ratings and its actual losses.The blind spot of SOR is that a team beating the best team on the schedule and losing to the worst is treated the same as losing to the best team on the schedule and beating the worst
But it's a first pass at looking at the impressiveness of resumes, especially comparing undefeated teams with weak schedules to teams with losses against hard schedules

I'm not going going to check this for FEI because you can't sort by SOR ranking on their website
Biggest gaps are Tulane, Notre Dame, Clemson, Ole Miss, UNLV and Colorado getting extra credit
UGA, Indiana, and BYU-maybe Illinois too-are the teams getting the most disrespect (LSU would be there too with at least 6 spots of difference)
FPI and FEI have aspects I like, but I think a metric taking ideas from each would be best for playoff rankings
First, FEI norming to an elite team makes more sense for finding championship contenders.
But FPI's look at probability of a team having a record makes a little more sense than just gap between record and what an elite team would have to me.
A team with 11 extremely easy games they win and 1 hard game they lost is going to have a gap of just under one loss which is pretty good for FEI SOR, but it was extremely easy for them to get that record
I think looking at how hard a record would be to attain for an elite team makes the most sense as a playoff focused SOR

38 here. I've done most of the adult milestones that I wanted to do. Moved out at 17, travelled, college, found a partner, we have a little apartment. Never wanted kids. Would have liked a small house, but that's the economy for you. Renting's not so bad.
I often feel... unsatisfied? I've tried a lot of things. I have two cats, hobbies, and a volunteer shift at the animal shelter.
I think the big issue is that I just don't care about work and it takes up so much time. I get that we all have to work, but I wish I'd found something that really spoke to me instead of just working for a paycheck. Nearing 40, I'm not sure it's worth switching up at this point. Nothing I'm interested in pays enough to make it worth it this late in the game.
My family also sucks and I mostly avoid them at this point, which is probably also part of the feeling, but I can't help that. We don't get to choose these things.
Bit of a ramble, but for older folks, how did you find satisfaction in your life?

Hi I’m doing my CBAT in a couple and I’m wondering about something. I saw that you have to do the working out in your head and after practicing the SDT parcel questions it hard to be fully accurate. After. I saw that they give marks for if you close so I’m wondering what the margin of error is. I know they keep stuff private but I would like to know how other peoples answers compare to mine to give me a different viewpoint. I personally think it’s within 5 minutes but I would like to know if others think it’s more wider or shorter. I could keep practicing this lots but I would also like to put more of my time in other aspects of cbat.
