Hello everyone! After an appointment with my doctor Iâm super confused and not sure if I have reason to relax or not.
I have had abnormal Paps since 03/2023 and after monitoring closely with my usual gynecologist for a few months with no change he transferred me to a specialized clinic. I went there in 02/2024 for a colposcopie and biopsies and hpv testing, the results suggested Cin III and hpv high risk positiv (not hpv16/18). At the clinic they recommended a conisation which i was (and am) afraid of and since iâm only in my early twenties the doctor at the clinic and my own gynecologist told me it would be more than ok to wait 6 months and recheck since there is a chance for it to get better on itâs own. The clinic gave me an appointment for a check up in 08/2024 and surgery date at the end of 09/2024 should the result be same or worse in august.
At the check up in august the doctor (which was the same as before) at first didnât even want to do a biopsy since i already had a surgery date and should get it over with. I explained that the whole purpose of the appointment was to recheck my results and he said he would give me a colposcopy but no biopsy. When i was on the chair for colposcopy he said it didnât look too bad, maybe cin II and took some biopsies after all. The doctor told me the lab would take a few weeks and he gave me another appointment to go over the results and decide if i should move forward with the surgery.
That appointment didnât take place, instead the doctor from the hospital told me over the phone that there is no evidence of cin, pap II but hpv other high risk still positive. He said i should go to a check up at my normal gynecologists office in 3 months and another one with hpv tests after 6 months and only to come to the clinic again if it gets worse again.
That appointment at my gynecologists was this week and was anything but expected. I arroved and the doctor told me i came in vain because we canât do anything today. Since my last test was not abnormal, my insurance wonât pay another within the next 12 months. He was less friendly than normal, printed some documents from the clinic i was at and told me to read them and be on my way.
Reading the documentation from the clinic doctor made me quite mad. He wrote that i decidedly refused surgery, knowing the risk of pre cancerous lesions or full blown cancer. Also that i need to come in for another check up at the clinic after 6 months, not as he told me at my local doctorâs office. Had i not gotten these printed papers, i wouldnât have known to even go to the clinic again.
I feel really bad because it reads like iâm a horrible patient that acts against doctorâs advice (i work in the medical field and know how it is to deal with non-compliant patients regularily) i thought this was a reasonable way of acting, there is no more evidence of cin at the moment so i didnât go for the surgery, at least not yet. On the other hand iâm worried that something is progressing since i couldnât get a pap smear or anything this week. Iâm also worried about going to the clinic and facing that doctor again, what he wrote in that letter isnât the way i felt we left things of at all.
Thank you to anyone reading this, i would love to hear your opinions on if i should get surgery after all? Has anyone experienced not havin Cin anymore at a check up and how did it go on for you?

I was incarcerated in the Texas prison system for 30 years straightâŠday for day. The caliber of inmates who reside there are definitely not the caliber of inmates that there was in 1990-2000. Itâs nothing more than an adult babysitting business. TDCâŠTexas Day Care. Most units are dealing with a K2 epidemic which will never get under control. Because itâs EASY non taxed money for the bosses bringing it in. Homosexuality is rampant. Itâs crazy that there are men there who demand that their âidentity be respectedâ as they are sporting a beard. They now have tablets and are able to purchase movies that are sold on the commissary. The extent of innate officer relationships is on a scale of absolute absurdity. Gangs are nothing more than a bunch of wussies who send in I-60âs on each other. Itâs definitely not the kind of prison that we as society think it is. Itâs a comedy that is endless. It has become a day care. There should be zero fear for any employee that works there or any future employees. The insurance is good, I know that. A lot of officers are just as childish and ignorant as most inmates. Officers have cliques and are selective about how they treat what coworkers. Some officers work here because they get a rise out of the possibility of getting involved in a use of force. There are a lot of good officers. But itâs safe to say that the good are outweighed by the bad. Otherwise, thereâs not be a K2 epidemic. Thereâd not be female officers who were borderline despondent and then wearing the best of nails with the best hairdo a month later. Even as an ex inmate, it infuriated me that every inmate in the United States got the same stimulus checks that we got, as free people. TDC is a joke. But it is definitely a great place to work. Good insurance and good payâŠall for baby sitting.
