2024.11.27 15:40 tiger_tytyG Baby’s first cough and cold
I’m a FTM, my baby just turned 4 months and is sick with cough and colds and i can’t stop crying, I feel like it’s my fault that he caught it when we went outside and it’s so cold. My emotional mama heart is all over the place. We already gave him Tylenol, saline drops on his nose and not cutting his daytime naps for now. I just can’t stop crying especially everytime he’s looking at me and seeking comfort, i wish my hugs are enough🥺. Any tips to let it pass? We’re going to skip Thanksgiving family dinner as well tomorrow.

2024.11.27 15:40 nato1943 ¿Que opinan de las alternativas a X/Twitter que aparecieron? Bluesky, Threads, Mastodon (esta ultima es mas vieja)
Había dejado Twitter hacia rato, y, cuando volví a usarla este ultimo tiempo, me pareció que estaba peor que antes. Ya no existe el verificado como tal, sino que se paga y eso te posiciona por sobre otros. Osea el "tick azul" es un badge de VIP. Pero es que lejos de alejar los bots, ahora debe haber, fácil, el doble y con el tick azul. Y si buen uso el feed de mis seguidos, el algoritmo del "para ti" siento que solo te intenta mostrar lo mas relevante en el país, no tanto mis gustos.
Ya conocía Mastodon pero no me llama la atencion su funcionamiento.
Threads, le competencia de Meta, esta bien. Pero me rompe bastante que este integrado con Instagram y Facebook.
Y vi que esta Bluesky, que es de uno de los creadores de Twitter. La verdad que no la probe, pero si lei que algunas empresas dejaron X por esta ultima ¿tiene algo de especial?
¿Ustedes usan alguna de las alternativas?

I'm quite happy to say I have several cups of dal in the pressure cooker now. I soaked the urad overnight of course, and when rinsing it before putting it in the cooker I noticed that instead of the previous dark black, it's not somewhat green looking. Just wanted to make sure that's typical. The package is definitely urad, I don't remember the name but it's one of the big names from my local trusted desi market, it's not like I'm buying my beans from a guy in a truck at a corner :)

For context, I'm an engineer building a replacement for Net Health. I have no background in healthcare.
In the current state of my app, a patient can have 0 or more admissions and 0 or more evaluations. For example:
``` Patient Bob - Admissions - Ferncrest Assisted Living 2/5/20 thru 9/15/23 - Rosewood Nursing Home 9/30/23 thru present
- Evaluations
- PT 5/10/22 thru 5/18/22
- OT 1/1/24 thru 1/31/24
- PT 1/1/24 thru 1/31/24 ```
I'm wondering if this is the correct approach?
Furthermore, in Optima, you end an evaluation by create a discharge summary. I find that terminology confusing. Wouldn't it make more sense to say "The evaluation has been closed" or "The plan of care has ended". Doesn't the word "discharge" imply that the admission is ending - that the patient is leaving the facility?

Company does not want to pay a bed bug infestation
I work for a company that requires me to visit clients in their homes. During one visit I must’ve brought a bed bug home because later I found them on my bed. I know it was from one of my clients because I recall seeing a bed bug but at the time I didn’t know what they looked liked. I had to replace everything (bed, frame, comforters, pillows, etc) and pay for the treatment out of pocket. I let my company know to request a reimbursement since it was a work incident and they refused as it is not part of their policy nor precedent to establish reimbursement for this expense.
What can I do!? I payed a little over 2k for everything!

I cannot take the complaining and victim mode any longer , I was dreading xmas with her.
I have young children last year was it for me when she said I hate Xmas
I went low contact as I am trying to be upbeat for my kids, she brings me down
She makes no plans for xmas with family sits back and expects me to do it all
