I went NC with my parents and most of my family years ago. There was a long history of abuse but the last straw was their transphobia and realising that transitioning and keeping them in my life were mutually exclusive.
I last saw my mum two years ago, when she crashed my best friend's funeral to pester me until I had to leave.
I'm LC with two sisters. One is vaguely supportive, but she blames me for my mum rejecting me, and is still upset with me for this.
My other sister is openly transphobic but mildly. I haven't seen her in person for 1.5 years because I don't realistically look like a man anymore, which is the only thing I can be around her. I've kept in contact with her over the phone in the hopes that she'll be more open in the future, but the culture is going in the opposite direction and this might never happen. Also, my other sister would never forgive me if I cut her off. So we're stuck in this limbo.
My mum is very ill, maybe dying, and my sisters are expecting support from me about it. I grieved her years ago, and don't feel comfortable being involved. It feels a lot better pretending she's dead. I think they're expecting me to try reconciling with her or something. How can I maintain relationships with my sisters whilst also maintaining boundaries?

So my 2014 FF (155000 miles, TCM replaced early 2023) is doing this thing where while I'm driving the traction light, abs light, and one more I haven't caught yet will flash on quickly and then on the screen it will flash "Start up assist not available" before quickly going away. I have a 35 minute commute to work, and it did it probably 100 times this morning, several times in a row each time, just flashing on and off. My radio has been cutting out too. I can repair it myself if someone can point me in the right direction on where to start looking.

Hey! So, I've been trying to teach myself the Tuluth script for almost two years now, but I feel quite lost with my practice. I started out in the traditional way of learning the "Rabbi Yasir," then I moved onto learning letters individually, then in letter pairings. However, I don't feel like there has been much improvement, especially because I do not have a teacher who could critique my work. Now, I just copy off ayahs from a mesk I have of Mehmed Sevki Efendi's work. Can someone please tell me how they learned the script on their own, and what a good learning process/pathway would be? Also, how do I know when I can move on from learning a specific letter or letter pairing? How do I go about learning without a teacher? People are playing the highest available diner as soon as it’s available, losing their first game and becoming broke. Then they’re pissed off and calling the game mode stupid. You have to amass a “bankroll” first. You should only play a diner that you can afford to lose twice in. If you only have 400k bubs then don’t play in the Jello, play in the ham until you have enough bubs to afford to lose in the jello. A lot of people are just trying to get rich quick and that ain’t gonna work. The mode is a week long. Take your time and build up a bank roll.

Sempre que vou para casa da minha namorada ou saio com ela, eu compro algo para comermos, geralmente é doce.
No começo do mês saímos pra fazer um picnic, compramos salgadinhos, chocolate, pãozinho e uma bebida, foi um dia muito bom. Nesse fim de semana fui na casa dela e levei duas caixas de bombom de surpresa, pq ela disse que estava com vontade de comer doce, mais tarde ela disse que queria comer milho e pediu que eu pegasse a carteira dela na bolsa, nisso ela lembrou que sobrou uma barra de chocolate que dei pra ela no dia que saímos, peguei e deixei na mesa, mas na hora de ir ao mercado eu peguei e fui comendo no caminho.
Hoje de manhã ela me mandou mensagem perguntando onde eu deixei a barra de chocolate, falei que comi quando fui comprar o milho e ela ficou brava comigo, dizendo que foi paia da minha parte comer escondido e não avisar, mas eu não peguei pensando em comer escondido, eu peguei pra comer pq ela já tinha duas caixa de bombom (eu peguei só uns 3 que eu gostava e deixei o resto pra ela), eu não pensei que faria falta, até pq demorou pra ela vir falar sobre (comi dia 23, veio falar agora dia 27)
Agora ela tá me respondendo seco e eu tô pensando se foi errado da minha parte come uma barra de chocolate q tava esquecida até então

Since 2021 late summer I have trouble reading fiction.
I'm technically diagnosed with Bipolar Type 2 but it seems I just have treatment-resistant depression.
It sucks because reading help me killed time and beat boredom.
Google tells it's a cognitive processing issue. Seems to be due to reduced cognitive processing speed.
Originally I thought it was just brain fog and me having trouble retaining information/memory issues.
But I guess all is possible.
Has anyone had troubles with reading and it improved?
What helped you?
I'm being tested for ADHD and maybe meds will help but I won't be done with testing anytime since I'm waiting for an appointment. I will probably have to wait a few months into 2025 unfortunately.
I wish I could figure out what can help now.

Vogue, Vanity Fair, and all their downstream publications let her use them as a mouthpiece for her spin. She spent this past year on a worldwide (male) podcast host glazing tour. She is never fact-checked or put in a position to answer questions that aren’t pre-approved (or god forbid, challenge her in any way). So why does she still - over a year later - take every opportunity to make herself out to be a victim of the media?
Yes, Page Six and other tabloids can be vicious towards women. But if anyone has the resources to set the record straight, or SUE THEM, it’s her (and, it speaks volumes that she didn’t take any of those publications to court). It’s clear to me that she’s using feminism as a cover for her actual grievance, which is that Page Six gave a platform to the non-famous woman she betrayed. Was probably a nasty shock after having the press clean up her messes for the last decade.

I have tried and failed to quit many times. I recently discovered this group and I am really hopeful that the MA steps and support groups will be what I need to make quitting stick this time.
For those of you who have successfully quit, did you taper use down or go cold turkey?
I have tried and failed both ways before.
Any tips anyone has for sticking to quitting would be appreciated.
