I’m looking to finish my first brisket smoke around midnight to be served for lunch the next day. I tested my oven to see how low temps actually go, and it cycles from as low as 165F up to 195F.
I am worried this is too hot to hold a brisket for 12 hours. Also worried that the cooler method won’t stay hot enough for 12 hours.
Does anyone have advice for this? I was thinking about making an insulated resting box to place inside of the oven that might keep the brisket safe from the higher oven temps. Also, is there really a noticeable difference from a 2 hour rest to a 12 hour rest? TIA!

Hello - I am from the US and my family line is from the south of Norway(Flekkerøy). We make the joke that my grandfather was always too cheap to bring us to Norway.
Anyway, I’ve been contemplating living in Bergen for an entire summer as I have the luxury of working fully remote. Bergen seems ideal for having a city and getting immersed in the Norwegian culture and it also seems to be reasonably accessible to the fjords and the nature around it. Should I choose Bergen in the summer ? Are there other places that anyone would suggest ?

Whenever I move my jaw in a circle it either clicks a couple times or makes other little sounds, sometimes it makes a big loud click and then most of (but not all) the other clicks go away. Doesn't usually happen while I'm eating or doing normal activities, only when I deliberately rotate my jaw, is this early/mild TMJD or is it normal?

When using the Birds Eye setting on the Hover Pro Max - height 9 meters - turning slightly - my Hover Pro Max did not fly directly back to me. It stopped about 1 1/2 meters away from me and at a height of about 2 meters. Standing still and waiting didn't help. I then walked the 1 meter to the Hover Pro Max and brought it down from the air with a slight jump. So be careful, especially near water and cliffs!

I need help! I have a 2019 Silverado Trail Boss that throws a bunch of errors and codes when it sits outside in freezing temps, but never any other time. Service ESC, Service Trailer Brake, Service ABs, Speed limited to 62mph/43mph and so on.... Last year I called the dealer and told them the errors and the codes my Blue Driver scan tool showed and he was positive it was the battery even though it seemed fine. I replaced it and next freezing night it did it again. I can run the truck for 15 minutes, shut it off, open the door, then restart it with no errors and runs fine. I feel like it could be some kind of problem inside the cab, but not sure what to check and the dealer is dumbfounded and I know will just throw parts at it.

Okay so pretty straightforward here. My (27) gf (26) and I have been together for 4 years. I finally feel like I’m starting to get more on my feet money wise and to me money is no object, I don’t mind spending it on larger items and I tend to not buy smaller things regularly (clothes, shoes etc) and just buy one or two big things I want or whatever.
Both of us are in grad school and I am a lot more tech and internet savvy. She has an older MacBook idk the model and is constantly struggling with getting the right updates, storage, and getting apps and assignments to work. It’s also just kind of buggy, having sound issues, software issues and the like. I told her I could get her a laptop for Xmas and she said she didn’t want one several times and that she would bring hers into the Apple Store. It’s been months of that kind of thing and now she has just resorted to using my laptop for school.
So the other day, I noticed that Best Buy has its Black Friday sale going on. I have been trying to salvage my credit and using the Best Buy store card to purchase things I want and pay them off over time. I was getting myself an iPad and saw a really nice laptop on sale. It is also a Windows laptop which I feel is more user friendly and works better for a lot of applications and assignments for classes. Although she had said she didn’t want a new one hers has been getting worse and worse and she is super busy with school and work, I decided to put it on the card and that way I can pay it off over a couple of months interest free. I figured it could just be a nice gift, a little on the extra side, but I can afford it and we’ve been together a long time. I thought it would just alleviate some amount of stress while she finishes school and starts work and not have to worry about her devices failing and losing anything.
I texted her and said something like, “I’m getting you just one big present this year!” feeling excited. And she responded with, “wait not a laptop though” and preceded to get upset over it. She said that she didn’t want to waste her old one because of her morals and even kind of turned it at me saying “this is the one thing I told you didn’t want” and said I should return it and so on. She could not even comprehend why I was upset and simply thought it was because of the money. Kind of argued about it a bit, nothing serious, but she was just totally not interested or even slightly grateful. I never even mentioned the price and I genuinely do not care I wanted to do something a little bigger this year and I know hers is dying and she doesn’t have the money to get a new one when the time comes. Now she says she will just take hers in and if they can’t fix it she’ll take it but it’s kind of like okay damn.
I get she said she didn’t want it, I do, but is it not a little self centered to reject it because of morals and then get mad because she said she didn’t want it? Am I wrong for it?
