2024.11.27 16:50 MoniPhD 2.5yr relationship ended -need encouragement
I am on a plane right now, heading back home instead of to the island vacation we had planned. Two days ago, when I was heading to meet her, my partner texted me to say she did not want to be in a relationship. When I got off the plane, we talked about it. I asked questions and she seemed very sure. We are 39/f and 40/f
I don’t know what I need here. Maybe I am just posting for some encouragement. I wanted to spend my life with her. Now, I need to figure out the best ways to disaggregate our lives (which includes re-homing our pug which makes me incredibly sad). Sadly, this isn’t a situation where untangling our lives will be quick or easy. It will likely happen over several months. I can’t go no contact immediately but I am planning to limit contact. If this has been true for others, I’d love to hear how you handled it.
I intellectually know it gets better. Before I met her, I experienced the worst heartbreak ever. So, I know that it gets better. But I don’t know what it is about breakups but they always feel like a brand new experience.
What feels important to me is to not hold onto false hope, respect her boundaries, and to be a good steward of whatever lessons that I’m Supposed to learn from this. This is obviously a fresh break up and I am Stunned. Just two weeks ago I had a spiritual experience where I truly heard (or believed) spirit tell me we are destined to be. Now I don’t know what to believe.
TLDR: heartbroken and need encouragement, Please. I would love to hear your stories.

2024.11.27 16:50 Loud-Advice2393 Male lovebird is super hormonal lately.
As said above. Hes 3 years old have had him for 2.5 years. I don't provide anything he could use as nest in the cage just natural perches/toys. He's sometimes regurgitated for my mom and he definitely sees her as a mate but we don't do anything to induce hormones like petting below the head. He gets frisky occasionally. However lately he will not stop regurgitating for both of us now. He wants to hump EVERYTHING lol. No soft fabric is safe from him. He is out of the cage for most of the day. But wjen he's in his cage he loses his mind to come back out and once he is he is strait to humping something. Is it okay to let him do this? Is it a phase? It's coming close to winter and I've been putting him to sleep earlier to try and sort out some hormonal issues. But other than that I'm at a loss. He isn't aggressive. He's a sweet boy who loves to be with us. Now he just seems to love everything maybe a little too much lol Picture for tax

I (27F) started dating my bf (31M) about 6 months ago and everyone has always warned me about my bfs ex and that she is “crazy”. They have been broken up for year but a bit on and off untill 2022. I didnt want there to be any drama because i dont know here so I never asked my bf about her. Until she facebook messaged me because her friend drunk cussed me out at a bar and she apologized. Well apparently she was at that bar too and tried to talk to my bf and he just said he had to go. After that I told my bf that we need to be transparent about her to make sure there’s no misscommunication involving her. Fast foward to a month ago, me and my bf are taking a trip abroad for a week and she follows me on insta. I didnt follow her back because i dont know her and didnt want her to think we are friends. So she watched me and my bf have a great time on our trip and then she texted my bf that she couldnt wait to hear about the trip! Then she texted him screenshots of their mutual friend trying to call her and I guess she wanted to gossip with my bf (idk lol). And then she texted him at 2am wtf his deal was. I assume because he wasnt replying to her? I asked him to block her because this was getting out of hand. Now a week later, my coworker tells me she will be at this band later which me and my bf plus our friends will go to. What should I do if she tries to approach me or my bf? I feel so awkward and just weirded out by her.

2024.11.27 16:50 ThePastelQuacken Somthing isn’t right with Wotsit
So for some background I rescued Wotsit from a hairdresser who had a baby and couldn’t no longer keep him. I was one of her customers who have had many reptiles so she trusted him with me…. But jeez I’ve never known a reptile like this. He’s NEVER eaten greens or veggies, if you try to feed him he will rub his face or spit it straight back out. Bugs wise he would only eat locust…. I asked about why this is and she shrugged and just said “oh he dosent like them and only eats locust” ಠ_ಠ there was no effort to trying to give him the proper diet. She dosent even know how old he is.
Now to the issues I have with him. He’s like having a pet rock or like he’s stuck in brumation, I’ve not seen him drink water himself or even look for food, He dosent explore his tank, dosent eat greens/fruits only locus (I’ve done everything to bee pollen and blending it all up to even using a feeding syringe to get him to eat by the vet) but his behaviour is just odd, he’s extreamly lazy he won’t even nod at mirrors or anything just not reactive. Even when he’s out he won’t move… I’ve had to change his substrate do to him diving into it and swallowing it (Thankfuly the substrate dosent cause impaction but even so)
I could really use some help with this guy…
FYI: I have contacted the vets but there awfully slow….
