Dems have a good selection of quick news podcasts but Republicans seem to only have Morning Wire (to my knowledge, please correct me if I’m wrong)
Please give me suggestions. It must be on Spotify.
Also are there any Glenn Greenwald type podcasts that are quick? I like his podcast but it’s 5 days per week and 1-2 hours. That’s too much if I’m trying to keep up with the entire political spectrum

We had an ultrasound yesterday (we are switching providers because this experience has been awful). Based on LMP I should have been 6+1, but all we saw was a sac which weirdly would have aligned with 5+1. Now we have the 10 day wait for another ultrasound. We are prepared for the worst but hoping for the best, so does anyone have any success stories?
More details:
This whole process has been awful so far and are switching providers as soon as we get an answer here, so more to come soon. I’ve been given every diagnosis under the sun. We caught it super early and were told “prepare for chemical”, I had brown spotting and cramps and as a FTM went to the ER and was told “miscarriage” - DISCHARGED with paper work, only for a provider today it’s too early and viable. Then HCG was solidly doubling or more to than doubling. Most recent and last HCG test only went up 57% but was told it didn’t matter because it was up to the right range. Had heavier brown spotting then it stopped to be told on the phone “blighted ovum” (with no ultrasound). To finally and ultrasound where they made me go in at 9am to finally give me results and chances at 11:30pm.
I spot before my period ALWAYS so never know when to count, my entry for LMP is 10/14. According to LH I should have ovulated between 10/25 and 10/26. We had sex once on 10/23. That puts latest conception at 10/28 or 10/29. I thought I started my period but that was most likely implantation bleeding on 11/4 (it was a decent amount and red and stopped after).
My HCG & dates:
11/4: suspected implantation bleeding 11/7: pregnancy confirmed blood test, urine negative. 11/8: HCG beta 19 (told prepare for chemical, never happened) 11/13: HCG 58 light spotting and cramps. 11/15: HCG 172 11/17: HCG 501 11/19: 1219 11/21: 2342 11/23: 3691
So would appreciate honest answers but also hopeful stories. Thanks

After leaving my most recent job, I've been looking for a job for the past two months. I'm expecting an offer from 2 companies any day now as per conversations with HR and I'm in the process of a couple more. So here's my situation summary.
Company A (Senior Data analyst) (Tableau - SQL for internal decision making)
A local startup that's only been running for 5 years or so which is probably risky. It has no mentor to learn from but offers a senior title (the next logical step in my career now) and a 56.3% higher net salary than Company B (and 10% higher than my most recent job). However, having no one mentotechnical manager IMO is a huge downside and from the looks of it, the work-life balance + very long commute would also be terrible which might affect my side hustles.
Company B (Data Analyst): (Web Analytics Consultancy role using company product)
A multinational late-stage startup with a great product, culture, work-life balance, and perks but a significantly lower salary. I think it's because they don't hire seniors and aim to hire and then promote. For context, the hiring manager has the same experience as me and we're the same age but she's been with the company for 4 years and got promoted internally. I've passed their assessments with flying colors and the feedback was extremely good from what the HR at every single step.
My thoughts
If it wasn't for the salary, company B would've been a no-brainer but I'm not sure if I can negotiate my way into a higher salary as the HR kept emphasizing the salary amount every fucking step. They are offshoring this role to a lower salary market but they are taking it to an extreme level and it's redeculous to work within a team from Europe and USA and consult the same US clients and get 1/10 of their salary doing the same work.
I took my latest job because I had nothing else at the time and I knew I wouldn't last long. I don't want to keep job-hopping every couple of months as it would look terrible on my CV but I don't want to stay jobless.
What would be the best way to approach this?
- Should I try to aggressively negotiate with B as I know I'm worth more even though they said they don't have much room for negotiation?
- Should I just get in and try to negotiate or leave once I land a better job even though it would look worse on my CV?
- Should I just refuse both as I have enough income to get by from my side hustles and just wait for a better opportunity?
- Try my luck with company A even though I think it's a loss of time with the only advantage being the salary.

I'm now permanently banned from offmychest after someone who had been repeatedly sexually abused as a child saw that person never punished, then watched them abuse a much younger half sibling. They could not understand a world that flagrantly allowed this, despite their multiple attempts to report.
My very factual, and historical, comment was that, where I grew up in NY state on the Susquehanna river, there was a specific bridge off a certain exit, off a certain interstate highway, with a long, fast undertow, where abusers and child rapists, after they ignored warnings, officially (on the police reports!), committed suicide. When appealing my post, I added specific links to the same exact things still happening today on the exact same river, just a few towns further South. One link was a paragraph each on about a dozen such incidents over the past decade+. Another article, same town, went into detail about a man was officially given suicide as cause of death, but the very last sentence in the article questioned that.
The review of my appeal determined that I was guilty of violating rule 1, targeting a marginalized or vulnerable group. Who exactly is marginalized or vulnerable here? Certainly not the children, never removed from the abusers and rapists in the year 2024? Seriously? And my comment was historical, responding to no, it's NOT the norm in rural NY and PA to just let children and their moms continue to be raped and abused. I know, from the 1970's, to the present, for sure. Facts. Data. Not targeting anyone. It's a commentary on our society that we are only allowed to quote historical data on .... ?

Hi! I’m feeling discouraged that I will not receive a job offer and am feeling anxious waiting so I wanted to see others’ opinions.
I graduated with a degree in retail marketing in May and am currently a social media marketing account manager- I don’t love it, it’s not in the industry I want, and it’s slightly unreliable as I just got put part-time because I work for a very small company.
I recently interviewed for an entry-level position at a large corporate retail company. This is a position that is between all departments that will lead to growing within the company, my goal is to be in buying.
I have been in touch with an in-house recruiter there since this summer. I quit looking for a job for a few months as I was stressed at my new job and recently started applying to others again for the reasons stated above. I applied for this position on Monday 11/18, received an email from the recruiter I had been in touch with on Tuesday 11/19 to schedule a phone screen with him, had a phone call with him on Wednesday 11/20 (explaining the position and interview process, he said the department manager would decide if she wanted to send me on to her director, explained they are trying to move fast and possibly get an offer out before Thanksgiving but I’m not sure how positive he was on that), had an interview with the department manager on Thursday 11/21, then with the director on Friday 11/22. I feel like my Thursday interview didn’t go well (but I don’t think she would have pushed me further in the process if she didn’t think I was qualified?) but my Friday interview was better.
On Friday, the director said he would get with the department manager on Monday and try to let us know. He also told me there were only 2 candidates and his other interview was after mine. However, the recruiter seems to be the main communication (he set up the interviews and everything). I sent a follow-up email to the director and department manager the following day thanking them for their time and that I’m excited for the opportunity. On Monday 11/25 at 4PM, the director responded “Nice to e-meet you! I am sure someone will be in touch with you soon!” Then yesterday (Tuesday 11/26) at 3:15PM, the recruiter emailed me “Sorry for the delay on the update for the role. I’m out of office for the rest of the week but I should be having a final update from the team on Monday so I’ll be sure to reach out to you then! I hope you have a great Thanksgiving holiday!”
So overall, I’m just wondering what it seems like to anyone that has experience with this? I feel like they offered the other person and are waiting to see if they accept or decline then will reach out to me on Monday. But I also don’t know anything about corporate, and some of my friends have said they could be waiting for someone that is out of office to sign off on any offer letters, they would have already sent a rejection to me, they are still deciding, etc. I am just wondering with the email from the director and recruiter together, what do you think it means? I know nothing is certain with opinions, but I am really trying to ease my mind so I can be prepared for what I think will happen. I am very stressed about finding another job so being in such an unknown place right now is hard. Please let me know if you have any thoughts, even if it’s bad news, as I would love to understand more. Thanks so much!
