I am building a New build for Gaming and Data Analysis.
That being said, I have no idea which components to choose except SSD, whicvh i know i need for Data Analysis ;D. I have a budget around 1500€. New build or upgrade?
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links) - Have them
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) - Gaming and Data Analysis
- Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors) - EU (Amazon.de)
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) - No need
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations) - 1500€
- WiFi or wired connection? - Wifi
- Size/noise constraints? - None, average size
- Cololighting preferences? - None
- Any other specific needs? - No
300-350€ for GPU.
And the rest for all the other components.
Could you guy help me choose everything else.

- enjoyed the Inuit lore woven into the story (could be any lore!) and cryptids
- enjoyed the threat/monster being just out of reach to comprehend until the end
- enjoyed the gradual descent into chaos and madness
- would love something similar based on the ocean, or another like this one on the sea
- the historical element was nice but not required for me
- enjoyed books like the Martian too, if this helps
- never ending sense of dread

I am APPALLED at how poorly the transition from Metropolitan Commerce Bank to Lead Bank was handled.
First off, who in their right mind thought that arbitrarily changing the bank account number of ALL their clients was a good idea?!!
Second, do you have a marketing team, Revolut? Or ever hired someone professionally trained in communications, email marketing, or copywriting? Because the absolute nonchalance with which you communicated this CRITICAL piece of information to your clients says otherwise, and I am sure that right now, your customer service department is paying for it.
Whoever was in charge of communicating about those changes did a PISS POOR JOB so here's a little lesson in copywriting and communications for you, Revolut. If you want to effectively communicate to your clients, you should make your communications... about your clients!
See, instead of entitling the *only* email you sent about the transition "We'll transition to a new partner bank soon" and make it all about you, you should have made it about why your clients should care about the transition, and tried to instill a sense of urgency. Something like "IMPORTANT: Your bank account details are about to change". A few reminders wouldn't have hurt either.
Because, suprise! Your clients do not care about you or your emails, they only care about the service you are providing.
So tell me Revolut... what was the percentage of recipients who opened that one email? If someone working for you were actually skilled in email marketing, they would have noticed a sub-par opening rate.
And wouldn't that be a massive red flag?! Wouldn't that mean that A WHOLE LOT of your clients were in fact NOT informed about a change that was going to impact them massively? Didn't you see that a bunch of problems were about to happen?!
I guess not because from experience, it doesn't look like your customer service was trained to handle the (probably hundreds, if not thousands?) client requests coming at you on the topic.
So yeah, do better. In the meantime, as soon as the payments that I am now spending way too much time chasing clear my bank account, I am leaving Revolut, and I want nothing to do with you anymore.

I need some advice about my Samsung Galaxy A920F (2018) phone. I've been using it for a full 5 years, but about 4 days ago it showed me this message [1st picture related]. I could have reflashed the OC using the tutorials (I've never come across such topics before), but the phone kept restarting over and over again (It's just shutting down and could've only turn back on after a while with a hard reboot) preventing me from doing so.
Digging around on the forums I found a review by some guy with an almost identical problem [2nd picture related]. He solved it partially: he froze the same phone to -20 degrees Celsius, then took it out of the freezer and was even able to start it, though just for a while. During this time he managed to save all the data from it to his laptop. But he did not say anything about FRP lock.
My question is, is it reasonable for me to do the same thing? Does such an action have a high risk of just simply freezing the phone to a complete death? Maybe I should just stick the phone in the freezer (my can freeze down to -18 degrees Celsius) wrapped in a bag and leave it for not that long? Is there anyone on this sub who has already tried this, what happened?

I’m going through a very difficult phase in life. Here’s a bit about my journey so far:
I’m a 34-year-old guy with a net worth of ₹50 lakhs. It could have been at least ₹1 crore, but a series of poor decisions has led me here.
I come from a middle-class household and had a happy childhood. Academically, I was a topper in school and eventually made it to one of the NITs (National Institute of Technology). After graduating, I got into a newer IIM and landed an average-paying job at a GCC of a bank with a ₹12 LPA salary.
I had an education loan of ₹15 lakhs at 8% interest, so I focused on repaying it aggressively while maintaining an emergency fund. Two years later, I switched jobs, but unlike developer roles, I only got a 30% hike, bringing my CTC to ₹16 LPA.
Around this time, I fell into the comparison trap. Many of my NIT peers were earning in crores abroad, buying properties, and securing their financial futures. Meanwhile, I was struggling to save anything significant after covering rent, bills, insurance, and my loan EMIs.
Around then, my ex and her family began pressuring me to get married. But I wanted to try my luck abroad, as onsite opportunities in my company were limited. I decided to pursue a master’s in the US to create a path for better financial prospects. I convinced them to let me go—but not without getting married first.
I repaid my MBA loan and used ₹10 lakhs from my savings, taking on an additional ₹35 lakhs in education loans. I went to the US with high hopes, but after completing my first semester, my ex-wife filed for divorce (I’d rather not discuss why).
I had to travel back to India repeatedly for court hearings, which drained my finances further. Depression hit me hard, and COVID stay-at-home guidelines worsened it. I lost my purpose and returned to India.
After taking a month-long break, I started applying for jobs and secured one within 15 days. It’s been about 4 years since that period. I’m now remarried and working as an AI Engineer, earning ₹48 LPA.
However, my married life is not going well. My current wife, also a divorcee, and I frequently fight—mostly over vacation plans. When I decline her plans, she insults me, calling me a "bhikari" and humiliating me for not having more savings at 34.
Last week, after a heated argument, she hit me on the head, causing an injury that required emergency care. Physical abuse has been frequent, for various reasons.
I’m sharing this story here to share two key messages:
- Avoid comparisons: Don’t measure your life against others’. Taking risks might sound romantic, but failures are real and costly. Many friends of mine, who didn’t go to prestigious colleges or earn as much as I do, have more financial security today.
- Seek guidance: I need support. I overthink constantly and fear that AI advancements could render my job obsolete. With just ₹50 lakhs saved, I’m terrified about my future—especially as my parents are aging and dependent on me.

Mother of B/G 6yr old twins. Very intelligent, healthy, playful children. My daughter is more mature by marks compared to her brothers maturity level. Which isn’t an issue at all. My issue is that she doesn’t believe in Santa and he does. I also have to admit it pains me that she doesn’t believe. I’d like them to be innocent and see the magic in Santa (tooth fairy,etc) for as long as possible. She said last night, “I really want to believe in Santa but I think it’s just the adults that buy the gifts.” This is her impression of how the gifts appear under our tree. Problem is she is 1,000% correct. Being that one believes and one doesn’t. How would you handle this situation? I’d love to hear more about how to introduce the magic back into Christmas for her. Maybe someone has some creative ideas.

Hello! I have worked in hospitality since I was 17, I am currently 23 almost 24. I have been Assistant Manager for 8 months now at a Tap Room (after being Supervisor for 2 years somewhere else) and I have just found out that a bar staff who is 19 and in her second year of university is being paid the same as me - £12.50/hour. I asked the owner about this and he says it’s because she is being trained up as an Assistant Manager. Is this common practice? I feel a bit betrayed and bummed out by this.

So I just bought a single Push-fit mini from eBay that came from one of the kits, it arrived in perfect condition, But for some reason, while all the other pieces fit into place just fine, the head doesn't really have a spot to be inserted. It's a long piece, that gets squished into a between the body and back, but since it kinda wobbles, and the problem is I risk breaking the push-fit pegs if I pull it back apart to glue it. Is there a solution to this? Or do I just be careful and glue ahead of time next time?

It’s just so frustrating. I work for a BPO company with a great reputation, but most of their accounts are client-facing. The problem is that our client is a startup company, and most of their employees are freelancers who clearly have no idea how to properly run a business.
The worst part? Our TL has no experience in handling people. He only got promoted before we arrived with our wave. Instead of properly guiding both us and the client, he’s teaching them all the toxic BPO practices. Typical TL toxicity: micromanagement, no empathy, and whenever there’s an issue, it’s always the agents’ fault.
What’s even more frustrating is that we can’t communicate directly with the client. So when they have complaints about us, we don’t have the chance to defend ourselves. And our TL acts so childish—he’ll snap at you or talk down to you before confirming anything. What makes it worse is that our TL always sides with the client over us. He’s practically willing to throw us under the bus. It’s so frustrating because it feels like we’re never prioritized, even when we’re clearly in the right.
It’s also burnout-inducing because there’s no solid support from management, and it seems like they have no interest in addressing this kind of issue. How are we supposed to grow as agents if this is the kind of system we have?
Anyone else working with a startup account that’s full of freelancers? How do you survive this kind of workplace dynamic? It’s really tough.
