My brother in law is an ardent MAGA racist religious nutcase. The kind of guy that will say the N word to a black persons face. Constantly talks about Trump, says all Mexicans should be deported (he is in the construction business, so WTF). I've had fisticuffs with him in the past over name calling and such.
Anyway, I've decided that I'll be going out of state to hunt on Thanksgiving so I don't have to bite my tongue all day. My wife is upset, saying her brother quit drinking and isn't that person any more. I call BS, he always was and is that person, he just doesn't voice it as often now he's sober. Am I the asshole?

2024.11.27 16:50 BettyPages Lobe piercing getting bumps 14 months in
 | I got thes second lobe piercings 14 months ago and they continue to get irritated on and off. They were initially pierced with low quality rings because I'm dumb and didn't do my research (I know, I know...). A different piercer from the initial one changed them to titanium labrets roughly a month ago but just a few days ago they flared up again. I understand that the healing is way behind because of the crap rings and possible reinjury from putting in new earrings (the piercer's gloves were a bit bloody after changing it and it hurt nearly as bad as the original piercing), but I'm feeling a bit at wit's end. I wash them with Arm & Hammer saline spray twice a day, though I had recently been lax. I had been letting them air dry after washing, but the last couple days I've been drying them as best I can without manipulating them too much. They don't hurt, but they itch like a son of a bitch. They aren't infected as far as I can tell, the pus-like fluid seems to just be serum. Not sure what else to do other than pull them out and call it a failed experiment. Any words of advice? Reason I ask is because yesterday, I know I locked my door and brought my keys inside. I know this because I have to unlock the door with my keys to get into the house and I didn’t leave the house again after that. Well I suspect that maybe I dropped my keys at my doorstep without realizing it after opening the door because I can’t find them anywhere.
But the weird thing now is - I go to my car just to see what’s going on and my car is unlocked???? How could my door possibly be unlocked unless someone has my keys and unlocked it

2024.11.27 16:50 c_rorick Kyren Williams @ Saints or Chase Brown vs Steelers? PPR
This one has me struggling. I could play both if I benched Bucky or Jacobs, but I think that’s a really dumb idea. Kyren hasn’t scored more than 11 points in PPR in a month, but does have a good matchup in the Saints. He has however a fumble issue and has not recorded a catch in his last two games. I want to say Chase but unsure. Thoughts?

My internet speed is quite fast: 300-600 mbps download and 100-200 upload. But when I'm in zoom, it goes down to 1-8 mbps download and 0-1 mbps upload. It stays that way until Zoom is closed. My video cuts out constantly and it says "your internet is unstable." It is clearly Zoom doing something, since the internet speed is fine at all other times. I have found other posts about this from 2020 and 2023 but no one has ever posted a solution online. Does anyone have one? I'm on a MacBook Pro that is fully updated.

Components: Smoke detector (The white one), next is the AND gate (74HC08) and the temperature sensor (TMP). And of course the buzzer (piezo outside the breadboard) and LED. The problem Im experiencing is that I cant get the buzzer and LED to activate when both the temperature is high and when smoke is detected. Its working when the temperature is high only.
