I am getting 19 LPA (fixed) with wfh right now in Jaipur. But I have an offer of 27.5 LPA from thoughtworks in Gurgaon.
Should I accept that offer? Or should I pass this one?

2024.11.27 18:49 nyxalwitch "Rat Problem" plaque not appearing
So, the golden plaque that you need to click on after the cutscene with Lewis isn't showing up. I've watched the whole scene through, tried restarting the day, and moved on to the next day to see if the plaque would appear. No dice. I'm not sure what to do to advance since the wizard won't contact me until I interact with it.
All of my mods seem to be working just fine (no error messages). If anyone knows a way to trigger the plaque or just bypass this, I'd really appreciate the help! Let me know if you need any other information. 🥲🙏

Pahlaniuk is a good story creator, however he seems to be hung up on trying to be gross and dangerous in his writing style. Well, turns out he took a writing workshop on "dangerous writing."
Cool, man, sometimes dangerous writing is neat. But it seems he based every single word of every single work on this style. Bro, it doesn't have to engulf EVERYTHING you write!
It could be parts of books, as opposed to the entire work. Or one could write books that don't fit the dangerous writing category sometimes, too.
As it is, I sloughed through Fight Club with all of its dangerous, and frequently grotesque details on violence and gore, then several other novels with their edgy, dangerous writing. Finally I gave up with Rant. Lots of details about smelling tampons and used condoms. It was too much.
In the end, Palahniuk comes off like a brilliant storyteller who is hung up on some juvenile angle of trying to gross out his readers. He comes off like an edgelord.
Without the success of Fight Club the movie, he would have been back being a mechanic or something. The novel of Fight Club sold less than 5,000 copies, and if Fincher hadn't picked it up, it would be a quaint, mostly forgotten novel today, almost 30 years later.
None of his other novels had the success that Fight Club did, driving them beyond his immediate fans and into general public demand. Choke, for example, barely broke even as a movie and took in an abysmal $4 million at the box office on a budget of $3.4 million. In fact, depending on how one defines "break even," it may not have even done so. It also did not become a cult classic and blow up on dvd sales like Fight Club did. And Fight Club made $101 million in box office on a $63 million budget.
If you don't know, the book Fight Club is a miserable, grotesque, mirthless, dry, depressing story. Fincher made the characters slick, cool, sexy, and sometimes funny. Even Palahniuk himself found the movie better than his book!
But, good for him! He has a ton of money and a cult following. Now every book is professionally reviewed as if it is just pure gold because the people printing the reviews know his books sell.
For the record, I love his stories! Ive read Fight Club three times, Choke twice, Survivor once, and so on. I swore off of reading any of his new writing after being slapped in the face with the foulness of Rant, but that doesn't mean Im not still a fan of his previous works.
I just am equal parts disgusted and experiencing second hand embarrassment at the sophomoric use of gross imagery. Such a try hard in this department, and it overshadows brilliant storytelling.
He writes stuff like: "I pooped blood. Each step I took after the bathroom was blood farts. Left. Right. Left. Right. Poop. Blood. Poop. Blood. Then I smelled poopy blood. That coppery, manure smell."
Obviously that's not an actual quote, but it really is that ridiculous. Sounds like a teenage boy trying to freak out and disturb his English teacher with a really nasty story for an assignment.
Dude, grow up.

2024.11.27 18:49 brucek2 Replacing Kraken 360 with Atmos 360
The NZXT Kraken 360 AIO that came with my AM4 prebuilt died. I have a new Cooler Master Atmos 360 to replace it. However, the 4 standoffs included with the Atmos unit do not hold the CPU backplate securely against the motherboard the same way the Kraken ones did. When the new ones are screwed in as far as they will go, the wider central part of the standoffs do not reach the motherboard surface (when the backplate is pressed against the back.) Looking at images online the backplate looks like the standard AM4 one but I don't really know. The Kraken standoffs have an attached extra part at the base that the Atmos ones don't. I feel like I'm missing a part although I have everything that is in the Atmos documentation. Can anyone tell me more specifically what I'm missing or what I should do next?

 | Why does Epic allow cheaters to negatively impact players who are actually good? They negatively impact everyone from the top down, but good cheaters always end up at the top due to all the eliminations and wins they pile on from cheating. The amount of Zen use is disgusting. Is there a financial benefit to Epic not banning hardware cheats? It seems ridiculous to think Epic doesn't really know the difference between the device and an actual controller. As an example, at the time of this writing the #2 Unreal Ranked ZB player is blatantly cheating. He's making bank fooling 28K followers on Twitch and everyone else into thinking he's actually great. As you can see, he wants you to think he's an amazing KBM player in his streams. The camera on his KBM is a joke as all you can really tell is if he's turning left or right, and what keys he's hitting. A simple foot pedal to toggle his Zen off and on is all he needs. However, if you simply go to the Fortnite Tracker that pulls its info directly from Epic, you'll see that the system clearly detects this KBM player's Zen as a controller, so he has stats for 'controller' use in there with his KBM. Just select 'controller' for platform to see what his controller-specific stats look like (but remember, he's KBM lmao), and then select this season (Ch.5S4) and you'll see he padded his stats with nearly 1,000 eliminations against top players while never even toggling it off in those instances like most cheaters, and never once lost. I don't know how you call out cheaters who are making money off of ruining other top player's stats and streams, but this is just ridiculous. If you look at when Zen was released and how many are sold monthly, there are literally hundreds of thousands in use now. I looked someone up once after I lost to them before I knew what a Zen was, and he was on his stream bragging about how much he loves his Zen. He was Unreal ranked. I'd argue that 99% of anyone it claims used any amount of controller in Unreal Rank is using a Zen. How many controller players get invited to FNCS vs KBM? How many controller players have won vs KBM? There's literally even a scientific predictive model called Fitt's Law that says KBM is easily superior to controller in terms of speed and precision, and experts agree. What are the odds that more than a couple people on controller could compete with the top 1% of all KBM players? 1% of 650 million Fortnite players is still 6.5 MILLION. Sure there might be like one or two controller Mozarts in there, but even this seems less likely in ZB mode. So, do you think it's actually believable that anyone detected as using a controller for any amount of time (most cheaters are smart enough to toggle off and on) in the top 200 Unreal players isn't cheating? Statistically, scientifically, and practically, it seems highly unlikely, especially in ZB where hitting shots is more important due to not having cover from builds. But I'd like to hear your opinions. I'm aware a couple controller players have pulled off the seemingly impossible in FNCS over the years, but that has been like... 2, and with the benefit of builds. Hi, I have always wanted to play this game. I just recently acquired a PS5, already owned an Xbox, and have a new iPhone and an M2 iPad, so I have lots of options to play it. Now, I'm debating if I should play in on the xbox or on the ios devices. I know it sound like an easy choice, but I've heard this game is slow paced and I don't have lots of free time, so, if I play it on an ios device I can have it on the go (cloud gaming isn't an option for me yet) sacrificing just a little bit of comfort and quality. If I buy it for console, then I'm guessing it would be a much better experience, but I would play only when I have a chance to sit in my tv and chose not to play any other games. What would you do or recommend?
