2024.11.27 19:50 spatula101 Low Roundhouse effectiveness?
I train pretty casually, mostly for self defends purposes. I don't really have any intention of competing.
Sparring yesterday and everytime I threw a low roundhouse kick I'd get swarmed with counter punches and had to cover up.
I had better luck with a side kick, since that kept some distance between me and my opponent a bit better.
I assume it's an issue with me and not the technique, but it does have me thinking if the roundhouse would really be that effective in a real-life senario? Or maybe I just need to set it up better. I wasn't following up with punches after the kick. Just looking to get some insight on how to effectively use the roundhouse I guess, or if I should focus elsewhere

My PowerHorse 3000psi washer pump crapped out on me and got a bunch of water inside of it somehow. I've been looking at replacement pumps for it (other than the direct replacement one that already failed me once due to price and reliability) and theres a lot of options (amazon, ebay, pressure washer parts stores) it's a bit overwhelming. Has anyone replaced one of these or would you be able to recommend a 3rd party brand that may have a good replacement? TIA.

21 éves férfi vagyok, és az életemben egy szakítás miatt jöttem rá arra, hogy követnem kell az álmaimat. Pici korom óta vágyok arra, hogy mentőorvos legyek, és sürgősségin dolgozzak mint orvos.
Ott tartok jelenleg, hogy próbálom megtanulni mi számomra a legjobb módszer a tanulásra, mivel régebben nem vettem komolyan egyáltalán az egész sulis dolgot (infót tanultam, nem akartam, teljesen lesz*rtam). Emelt bioszra és kémiára tanulok amikor tudok és van elég energiám munka mellett. Ettől függetlenül élvezem amit tanulok, mert borzasztóan érdekel.
Jelenlegi tempómban (úgy hogy még most keresem a számomra megfelelő módszereket) azt érzem nem leszek elég a májusi érettségikre, főleg egy orvosi egyetemre. PTE-AOK-t vettem célba.
Jól érzem, hogy egyetem előtt kell megtalálnom a megfelelő módszereket, hogy az első évben már maximumot tudjam magamból hozni? Ha úgy van nem bánom, ha egy évet csúsztatok az egyetem kezdésén. Vagy teljesen hamis gondolataim vannak, és az első évben még lesz időm megtalálni a módszereimet anélkül, hogy megbuknék?

So i’m a freshman planning on transferring in this upcoming cycle, and I am trying to figure out what professor I am going to get my rec letters from. I have grown a really strong connection to my Korean language professor, and as one of my reasonings for transferring is access to better Korean coursework, I think she is a good person to ask. However, I’m not entirely sure her english writing proficiency is the strongest, and I’m wondering if this will be an issue when it comes to writing a recommendation letter. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

1986 c10 with a 305, all original - Rochester Qjet EGR hose is plugged and I’m not running a belt on the air pump currently. I started getting a rough idle and accidentally adjusted the fast idle screw on the carb, I’ve since re adjusted the fast idle but the truck starts rough when cold and eventually smooths out into fast idle after a couple minutes. Kicks down into smooth idle as well. Could the smog pump not running be affecting this or is my fast idle still out of whack?
