Hi all,
Wondering if anyone here has the same problems as I’m facing.
I have suffered with the eating disorder ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) for the majority of my life, and it interferes with the food that I eat, which in turn affects my PCOS symptoms. I don’t eat a lot of things due to my condition. I don’t eat any sort of fish, eggs, veg or fruits. I have also been dealing with Hypothyroidism for the past 17 years.
I’m struggling with - struggling to sleep - weight retention and struggling to drop weight no matter what I do - periods that last nearly 2 months at a time.
During my periods, they get so light, it seems to me like they’re about to end but within a few hours, go back to being a reasonably heavy flow again.
Currently taking Levothyroxine and Choline & Inositol.
Is anyone else experiencing the same sort of thing and have any advice at all? I would be so so grateful

2024.11.27 21:40 DesperateLeading3097 Went on a seemingly great date, he texted me first, and then no response. What to do?
Yesterday I went on a date with a guy who I matched on the Hinge with about two weeks ago. We exchanged numbers last Friday and he seemed like a decent texter. At one point, he didn’t respond to me for like a day and a half but all was fine there.
Yesterday, we went on a great date. We went for coffee and we sat on a bench outside of the coffee shop. He placed his hand on my leg for a large duration of the date, I put my hand on top of his, and he kissed me twice, and both were instances pretty lengthy. Before we were leaving, he said we should go to dinner after Thanksgiving, and since we live about 45 minutes away from each other, he was asking for recommendations in my neighborhood or he said I could come up to his area. Then he walked me to my car and kissed me on my cheek, he told me to text him when I got home.
He ended up texting me first (I wasn’t playing games, I just genuinely hadn’t made it home yet) and said “I’m glad we made it out of the app and into real life”. I texted him back thanking him for showing me a good time and highlighted a few points that we discussed, including something he was doing that evening, and now no response!
I’m going to text him tomorrow and wish him a happy Thanksgiving, but what else should or shouldn’t I do?! What is going through his head?! Open to any input. Thanks in advance!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had an obsession with something lasting years. But that obsession could suddenly be dropped for another one and almost completely forgotten about. The obsession could be anything from a book series to a movie to a type of animal to a celebrity, etc. And when I say obsessed, I mean it. Like, thinking about the obsession all day everyday. Talking about it so much that the people around you become irritated.
It all started with cheetahs when I was a child. I would do nothing but watch documentaries about them and read about them. I’d imagine a cheetah running alongside our car or while I was in the bus. I’d fantasize about having a pet cheetah and sometimes even fantasize about being one.
Then it was Alvin and the Chipmunks (one that I regret). Talking like the chipmunks. Playing pretend like I was one of the chipmunks. I’d watch the movie multiple times a day.
Then it was Twilight (another regret). I did basically the same thing. Watched the movies relentlessly. Talked about it relentlessly. I started imaging and talking to the characters in my head.
Next was owls. I’d research them all day, every day. Read books about them. Watched videos and documentaries. Made lists of all the owls I could think of and their scientific names. Drawing them. Imagining being an owl and flying (I still do this sometimes).
Other obsessions have been TMNT, Rise of the Guardians, Akame ga Kill, Barley from Pixar’s Onward)
My current is of a celebrity (a little embarrassing). I imagine this celebrity talking to me almost all day. We have full on conversations in my head with each other. Plus I will look at pictures of them all day.
Is this common in Schizotypy?
