I'm never someone who complain on this Platform but that was straightforward an unfair practice. This researcher has a good paying 1 minute, but when you complete it they screen you out to not pay the advertised amount. I need advice on how to proceed from here.

Hello, I’m planning to upgrade my pc using secondhand parts coming from an A10 CPU with a $350 budget. I plan to use it for games, music recording and slightly to learn image and video editing. I mainly play The Witcher 3, Silent Hill 2, God of WaSpiderman games, Warzone, and Valorant. I currently have a GTX 1060 3GB. Need to be able to make the most out of this new build for the next 3-5 years. I want to focus my budget a tiny bit more on the CPU as long as it gets the tasks done. Any build suggestions that might have been saved in your notepads? Thanks!

My partner and I (32F) signed a new lease and it’s 50 pages. He always asks for the physical printed copy of bill receipts so I do that. I did the same for the lease, I printed the “congratulations” page
When I was printing it he said we have a lot of paper for you. I thanked him.
The next day he was furious because I didn’t print all 50 pages. He said “me saying we have a lot of paper should’ve been a hint for you to print the entire thing how stupid are you?”
And then went on to say if I didn’t know just ask—when for years I never had to ask it was always just the receipt and so how do I ask for something when I don’t know to ask?
It feels like I have to read minds but it also is just I don’t know how to take hints and when to ask for clarification because asking too much annoys him.
I don’t know what to do. Any help please? Thank you.

So I am taking a class and our professor has done some things that I am unsure if they are allowed by the university. On our syllabus, there is a large essay assignment that is 20% of our grade. However, what was not stated about it on the syllabus is that the prompt would not be released until the Tuesday DURING BREAK, and she is making it due one week later, on the Tuesday we first have class. She also has our final on that day. Are teachers allowed to withhold assignment prompts from you until you are ON the break, then make it due immediately after break, therefore literally FORCING you to do the assignment on your break?
My other question is that on our syllabus, it was stated that we would have three exams during the semester comprising 70% of our grade total, with the points split between the three exams. However, she did not tell us until after the first exam, which we got back in November, that she was going to get rid of one of the exams, and therefore make each of the two exams worth 35% of the grade- a significantly higher portion than it was supposed to be. She said this was due to the hurricanes. Keep in mind, the vast majority of students also found out they had failed this exam because she made it impossible. So essentially, she made it so students who did not do well on the exam learned it was going to comprise 15% more of their grade than the syllabus claimed it was, but AFTER taking the test was graded.
Are these things allowed by the university? To clarify, this is in the college of liberal arts and sciences, and it’s an undergraduate political science ELECTIVE. … and we have 200 pages of reading a week. lol. Someone please lmk because there’s just no way this is fair to the students

Ya'll, I need someone to celebrate this with during a stressful holiday week :)
A little over a month ago I posted about how I was feeling guilty after my daughter said “mommy, why are you always on your phone”…
I got a lot of positive feedback and practical tips. I have implemented your advice and it has been a night and day difference.
The results:
- Daily screen time: 6hrs >>> 2 hrs
- Daily phone pickups: 250 >>> 50
- I feel less “scatterbrained” (slightly lol)
- My kids are noticing
Phone free spaces:
- I made several places “phone free”, and communicated that to my kids
- Now they know when they are going to get my full attention
- I did the playroom and kitchen table
- I locked myself out of social media first thing in the morning, and during dinner time (and told my kids)
- For the rest of the day, I set a limit of 15 unblocks on social media
- I'm also tracking my daily screen time and how often I pick up my phone more closely
- I reach for my phone when I got stressed, tired, etc.
- When I notice this feeling coming on, I will communicate with my kids
- ex: “I need a few minutes on my phone and then I'll be back”
- Then I will try to call a friend or family to talk about it
This has honestly been life changing. Thank you Reddit.
