2024.11.27 20:30 ItsFunHeer What does it mean when a fecal float is positive for hookworm but no cysts or eggs were found?
Our rescue has had hookworm since we adopted her, contracted in utero and through her mother’s milk. We’ve had her for 3 months. She’s 7 months, and 43 pounds.
She is on Interceptor. She’s been on multiple rounds of Panacur, Pyrantel and her last dewormer was a dose of Drontal Plus.
Her fecal float came back and the vet said she tested positive for hookworm and giardia this time and suggested she go on 5 more days of Panacur.
The issue is that anything with Panacur (Drontal Plus) causes her to be an absolute lunatic. She will not relax and paces for up to 18 hours and her pupils dilate. I asked if we had any other option.
The vet said that because they only found adult hookworm in the float, and no eggs or cysts, it’s likely getting better. She only prescribed Flagyl to treat giardia and said since the hooks are getting better maybe they’d clear and we’d retest in 3 weeks.
What does it mean if there are only adult worms, could that actually mean the hookworm is clearing and no further treatment is needed? In a desperate attempt, I have been giving her food grade diatomaceous earth in her wet food in hopes that this will kill the residual parasites.

Hi guys, we're trialing AFS (entra ID Kerberos with 2 DCs in Azure in 2 different Azure regions with 2 different vents for redundancy), hybrid environment with Entra synced identities.
Domain replication is working fine.
There's peering between the 2 regions, and a private endpoint is set up on the AFS share in the primary DC's vnet.
We seem to be having an issue where whenever we try to map the AFS drive and the workstation's logonserver was the SECONDARY DC, we get an error "Unable to contact DC".
Mapping works fine 90% of the time as the logon server is typically the primary one.
Can ping the 2 DCs, and resolve the private endpoint with the correct vnet/internal IP on the workstations while the issue is happening.
No issues with domain Auth either (can run things as a domain user with no issues).. seems like something in AFS isn't liking the secondary DV.
Tried running the MS generic Entra Kerberos troubleshoot script which basically found no issues.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

My family member is in late 60s. Diagnosed a year ago with stage 3. Not able to do surgery because of location. Did chemo. It seemed to work and lowered the ca 19-9 and relieve symptoms. Did immunotherapy which has now been declared didn’t work. Major influx of symptoms- sleepy constantly, ca 19-9 to 500. What the heck? CT reveals it has spread all over. Spine, liver, omentum, stomach. So he did the pellet therapy. The numbers are lower. But my god. Anyone have experience with this? What do I expect?
