I'm having some performance issues, and i've started testing, at least in a benchmark, it seems like ram speed is an issue, i'm basically fishing for what's going on, before this i did cpu, gpu, and ssd benchmarks, all came out with the same results running in a vm and on bare metal
I have a Kubuntu VM, directly passed through GPU, SSD, and USB, RAM is set to no ballooning. 32GB (out of 128GB total), cpu is set to host (ryzen 5 5600x)
doing
sysbench memory run
when testing on bare metal (literally booting that Kubuntu install off the ssd directly instead of having proxmox host it as a VM), i get 8502.67 MiB/sec, when testing from the VM, i get around 85MiB/sec instead...
Is there some setting i'm missing that would give me (close to) full speed? i believe having 100x less ram speed is really causing me issues, what can i even change regarding ram other than just not having balooning enabled.
Balooning also caused me issues in the past, just dropping down to the minimum value, and never going back up
guest agent is installed on the guest and enabled on the host
I tried both i440fx and q35, no difference there

I have four reports in PHI who work remotely in different locations throughout the country. I’d like to get them a decent gift, around 50-75 dollars American, in a way that doesn’t inconvenience them.
Last year, I purchased gift baskets for them, however they had to set appointments at retailers in order to pick them up. It turned out o be a bit of a hassle.

Should I avoid all dumpsters in this shopping center or just the ones next to/in eyesight of this car? En outre, je ne maîtrise pas Excel, ça m’intéresse pas du tout, mais le logiciel apparaît systématiquement dans les offres d’emploi. Est-ce rédhibitoire de ne pas le maîtriser ?

2024.11.27 21:49 NOOOBGUY Any deep thoughts, praises, comparisons and espacially criticisms for S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2? Because ı was kinda disappointed.
I see lots of funny meme posts and such but ı wanted to have a post where we can do some deep analysis of crucial things like gameplay, story, performance etc. what can be done to make it better in the future either by devs or by modders, maybe in a future installment.
I espacially wanna see you people compare it to other games, previous installments and most important of all mods which have kept Stalker alive for so long.
I wanna see some deep conversations instead of just ''wow this game is best ever'' or ''man this things sucks ass'' you see and ı wanna see comparisons.
Me honestly ı was kinda ... disappointed with the game. This is probably due to me playing the original trilogy vanilla multiple times and finishing them modded multiple times aswell.
I have also played variety of Stalker mods from story driven ones like Lost oblivion, Incubator, True Stalker, Narodnaya Solyanka to sandbox ones like Call of Chernobly , Anomaly along with their modpacks like EFP, GAMMA, Dark Singal, Expedition on top of actually modding them myself.
Expedition gives great visuals without the performance problem, Dark signal had great audio that honestly sounds more unique and interesting than Stalker 2. EFP and Gamme with their artifact melting, mutant hides, knive tiers, perk artifacts, mutant concoctions etc.
Stalker 2 has a big world but it feels empty when everyplace ı explore it feels like chance whether ı'll get interesting quest, a new gun, a new suit, a new artifact but most likely ı'll just get food, 9mm ammo, and some medkits ... again.
It doesn't have enough content nor mechanics to justify this big seamless open world which also hurts the current (ı guess lack of) A-life system and performance. The balancing just makes it seem like the best idea (instead of just googling all of the stash locations and be OP from the start like CoP) is to finish the prologue zone (lesser zone) then immediatly go as far north as you can which is Yaniv (not Jupiter for some reason) because best traders, best mechanics etc. are there so you're better off trying to save up coupons to get late game gear from there and not bother exploring anywhere else.
Story feels like its rebooting the entire franchise because ı still have hardly seen Freedom , Duty , Mercs , Ecologists etc. these new factions seem bloated when we've had various factions with different equipment, characters and ideologies but new guys just come in and just take the spotlight like that. Not to mention totally relocation of ... everything which kinda pisses me off ıdk why
Maybe my opinion will change when ım getting near the end and get to see more of this new zone but Stalker 2 feels like 100gbs of its 155gb space is just unneccessarly bloated espacially compared to tightly compact package with hand-crafted locations and quests that was CoP.
Out of this 30 hours ı feel like I've spent most of it running around in a mostly flat uninteresting place where ı loot the same few items over and over just to sell them to get those coupons so ı can repair my 98% suit which costs and arm and a leg for some reason and the worst part is ı do all of this on 50-110 FPS which fluctuates, randomlys micro stutters all the time due to game's non existent optimisation and its dependency on DLSS and Frame Gen.
Well this turned into a bit of a rant but still everything this game does good ı feel like modding community has already done better so ı guess ı subconsciously had much higher expectations than what was realistic. I wanna hear you all's opinion on this.
