Hey guys, to start, I have never set up a computer before . Reading a lot of the tech forums for initial set up, are frankly, going over my head. “Updating drivers, BIOS (but maybe don’t do this, but maybe do), downloading a variety of programs just to make something else work, stress testing, removing bloatware, ect” is foreign to me. I recently picked up a Legion Slim 5, hasn’t arrived yet. Are there instructions detailing all of this process that come with the laptop? Is this a complicated process with serious consequences if done out of order or improperly? I’m very much a figure it out type person and not completely tech incompetent, but this has me thinking of setting up an appointment with the geek squad and asking them to get it ready to game on. Everything looks good and I know it’s been boxed safely for 40 years.
It hasn’t been powered up since the 80’s.
It would be nice to sell it for a little cash, but the collectibles market seems to be in a little trough. It’s not a sellers’ market.
I know that testing it would raise what I could ask for it, but I don’t know where to find a tv I could connect it to.
I imagine that I’d get the most $ selling through Facebook, but there’s also EBay and then there’s retro-arcades and dealers, who I figure would lowball offer.
Any advice?

I feel like this is a silly question, but I figured I’d bring it up here. Trying to calibrate my flow rate, and my default the “flow dynamics calibration” is selected before every print. Is that going to affect my actual Flow rate? Am I messing something up by changing the flow rate then running that calibration every print?

I go to West Texas to look for snakes at night. I shine rock cuts to find them. Typically from up to 40-50 feet away. Sometimes all you see is a small movement in a crack, so light needs to be powerful and penetrative, enough to give detail. I've used the bushnell blood tracking flashlight, which gives 1500 lumens I believe. I've also used a Nebo piece of junk. Coast surprised me with a little rechargeable 1000 lumen light. I'm really wanting to step up my game though. I'm tired of fighting batteries and lights that die after 3 hours. I need something that last 6-8 hours. If not, something with interchangeable batteries, so i can do a quick swap and keep shining. Thanks

Good day all, I hope you are well. I just have a few questions that have been on my mind as of late (which I hope you can answer).
For context, I am 23 years old and currently live in South Africa. Upon completing high school in 2018, I enrolled for a 3-year Diploma in Grade R Teaching (2019) which was completed in 2022 (due to covid). I then completed a 180-hour TEFL certificate. In 2023, I enrolled for a PGCE in Foundation Phase Teaching, wherein I will be graduating in December of this year. In addition to that, I will be enrolling to study for a BA Degree in Psychology next year (2025).
Note that I am a fully licensed teacher (SACE) in South Africa, with almost two years of teaching experience (voluntary) at an LSEN (special needs) school.
My question is, are my qualifications/experience equivalent for finding a teaching job in China at this instant (specifically in the Early Years/Foundation Phase)?
I have been speaking to someone whom I know of (recruitment), and they assured me that I will be able to teach in China with my PGCE and that I should get my documents in order first (police clearance, etc.). The problem is that I have had no luck even securing an interview for any of the jobs that I've applied for. Could it be because I have my proof of completion on my CV, rather than my actual PGCE certificate (to be obtained at Graduation next month).....or maybe my documents are not verifed....?
I would say that my qualification is on the same level as a degree based on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) of South Africa;
▪︎ Diploma in Grade R Teaching (3 years; NQF6 360 Credits) ▪︎PGCE in Foundation Phase Teaching (1.5 years; NQF7 136 Credits)
If anyone can guide me in the right direction, that would be highly appreciated.
