2024.11.28 03:40 Peacenow234 I dropped my IFS therapist today because they were criticizing my protectors

I didn’t come into the session imagining I would be stopping treatment but it felt important and true for me to do so. It took me quite a long time to find an IFS therapist and we had built rapport over months of sessions. But today they started saying that it’s important that I dissect a big experience that had just happened and I felt quite a lot of resistance to that. My process is a lot more fluid and I tend to need space for the protectors to feel safe and then start opening to the deeper layers. In the past this therapist heard my parts’ boundaries but today they said that they have felt for a while now that a protector part is kind of sabotaging the process and what they feel they can bring to it. It felt like a manager of theirs had quite an agenda that was coming in. My protector parts got super tense and I chose to name their concerns including them feeling that this work with the therapist was coming to an end.. I also asked point blank if they felt blended at this time which they denied and honestly I didn’t believe.
I get that I have strong protectors but I am trusting them in this instance. I myself sometimes try to bypass my protectors or hurry them along and that has resulted in backlash. The therapist’s approach seems quite antithetical to the IfS philosophy of really being with the parts. They also shared in the beginning (prompted by me) about this other nervous system healing training that they are doing which they apparently like a lot and feel it’s changing their approach. Well, I actually specifically wanted an IFS therapist so if that was why this experience happened today, I feel a bit betrayed too.
I’m trying to stay resourceful and not get too down the skeptical of therapists road, and would love some encouragement after this disappointing and frustrating snd inopportune experience.

Currently we are sending our VM backups directly to S3 Glacier (archive tier) as part of a SOBR
However we also have 100TB (expecting to balloon to 1000TB) data on a Powerscale being protected in in a SMB backup that we also need to get archived as well...
As far as I can see, NAS backup appears to be forever forward so theres no concept of GFS.
Despite this, we still have a requirement to get a copy of this data monthly into some sort of offsite repository and I suspect (especially when it reaches the upper 1PB amount) that keeping it in S3 will be far too expensive.
Is there going to be a capability for us to archive these backups directly to Glacier?
