2024.11.28 05:34 Short-Grocery3136 Some thoughts after finishing Lighter's story
Although a bit short, I really enjoy the story and the interaction between Lighter and Proxy. Their relationship feels very natural, for example, in the way Proxy cares for Lighter after the fight. The characters really feel alive, which is something I particularly appreciate about the game.
Some things I look forward to in future stories.
- A minor complaint is the frequent uses of black screen + text for storytelling, it can feel a bit intrusive. I hope they try to reduce this when designing the story scripts in future, or use some other ways to present the story.
- It would be great to incorporate the EP presentation of Lighter's back story into the game in some form. He touched on his past at the end of story, but I feel if someone doesn't watch EP they won't resonate with that as much. Like Genshin has these 2D animated CG from time to time, which is a nice way of telling back story. Lighter's EP tells his story and past really well, I think they could do something similar in game.

2024.11.28 05:34 Swee10 I’ve noticed something weird when I drink.
I want to make my life better, I have a sales job and every time I drink (tipsy, not drunk) I notice that my motivation and desire to improve my career increases dramatically compared to when I’m sober. I know drinking isn’t good for you and it’s only on weekends when I don’t work or anything, that I drink. I don’t feel the same desire to improve or be better at my job when sober. Maybe I’m the most boring drinker in the world, I don’t know. But it’s only when I drink and when I’m sober but have large bursts of motivation that I desire to improve my life and try to learn how to be better. Is there an explanation for this? Am I holding myself back when I’m sober? Am I just a pessimist pretending to be an optimist or something? I can’t find anything online because it’s all “how to stop drinking” and not “why do I feel this specific way?”. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

I recently visited a new ENT doctor to help me deal with chronic sinus issues. After asking about my symptoms (recurring stuffy nose / sinus pressure / post nasal drip), he recommended a nasal rinse with a Neil Med bottle, but told me to add the following: 3 drops of Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo, a small amount of Lotrimin (Clotrimazole ointment used to treat athlete’s foot) and Mupiracin ointment, and Budenoside nebulizer. He says his patients have seen great relief from using this, but I’m a new patient and frankly putting baby shampoo and foot cream up my nose sounds dangerous? Has anyone ever been recommended / tried anything similar to treat sinus issues? Thanks!

This is the one, folks. This is the game that the state has circled every year, the annual clash of heated hatred that occurs on the Saturday Friday after Thanksgiving. The Jackets are obnoxious. We hate them. They are bitter and spiteful. If you don't believe me, just wait until we lose to them. Those of you who have matriculated in this golden beautiful era of Georgia football may not understand just how abysmal it is to deal with Tech fans after the game goes south. The good news is that Tech NATS has not beaten Georgia more than three times in the same decade in most of our lifetimes, we have the series lead by a wide margin, and our team seems better positioned to take this crucial contest. And yet...I will not rest easy until their battered souls are trod into the sacred sod between the (still intact) hedges. And the clocks say zero.
Before the annual slugfest commences, we must congratulate the winner from last week's game! Much like UMass' run game to our defense, you all surprised me with your proficiency. We had multiple 3-0 games this week, so well done! However, the victory goes to perennial picker u/Manav_Steel. They won the tie-breaker with two others by a few measly points and get to hoist the (digital) trophy this week. Great job!
I hope everyone gets to enjoy some time off at home with family. Or alone in a dark room thinking about how much they hate the "Ol' Gold Bugs." In an unrelated note, I learned from my Tech-grad father-in-law that "Ol' Gold Bugs" is an anagram of "Go Bulldogs," and that fact sickens me in a way I can't hardly describe without boiling into fits of rage. I really hate this team. Just saying.
