I went snorkeling yesterday in Krabi, Thailand (Ko Lao Lading). When reviewing my photos (taken with iPhone 15 Pro Max), I noticed what looks kind of like a camouflaged fish on the right side peeking out from below the hard coral reef. That said, it looks so much like a soft coral up close that I’m guessing it’s just an illusion. Anyway, hoping someone knows more and can help me ID what this is.

2024.11.28 07:50 CockroachDouble7705 I sometimes worry that my skepticism will ruin my sense of imagination.
I hope it doesn't sound dumb, but sometimes I feel disappointed that the supernatural doesn't exist and that life isn't like the sci-fi and fantasy books I love. This is especially the case given the fact that I am an aspiring writer of horror and weird fiction, and I sometimes have this not entirely rational, but still present fear that my skepticism will take away my imagination and make me unable to write or enjoy any sort of speculative fiction.
Has anyone else dealt with this? If so, how have you overcome this?

I'm an employee at JCP Portraits, and I'm speaking out about the shitty conditions we're forced to work in, especially during the holiday season.
You know those crazy Christmas photoshoots? Yeah, we're the ones dealing with screaming babies, entitled parents, and corporate overlords breathing down our necks to meet impossible deadlines.
Here's the reality:
• 15-minute time limits: We're expected to pose, change backgrounds, entertain babies, and edit photos in 15 minutes or less. It's a joke. • Double booking: We're booked back-to-back during Christmas, with no breaks in sight. And when babies cry (which they do), we're expected to keep going, no matter what. • Lawsuit: The company recently got sued by an employee due to the unrealistic time limits, which prevent us from taking rest or meal breaks. Yeah, it's that bad. • Burnout: Last year, one of my coworkers almost passed out due to lack of rest breaks. It's a miracle nobody's been seriously hurt yet.
And you know what the cherry on top is? People will throw fits and act somehow surprised when we can't do any outfit changes in the time limits we're stuck in. If you or your crazy ass Karen mother comes in, please make her aware that none of us are happy with the company. A lot of us are stuck around for the paycheck and the fact that this is our passion. Have some compassion this season. I'm so close to losing my shit.
Before you book that holiday photoshoot, remember that employees like me have no control over these conditions. We're just trying to survive the holiday season with our sanity intact.
So, do yourself (and us) a favor: if you aren’t okay with it take your business elsewhere. We don't deserve to be treated like this, and neither do you.

I’m looking for advice on supplements or nootropics that could help with high general anxiety and my mind going blank in social situations.
I’ve previously tried CBT and exposure therapy, but neither seemed to address my issue of my mind blanking out. One challenge with CBT is that I don’t seem to have any automatic thoughts driving the anxiety—my mind just goes blank, making it difficult to engage with the process.

So I was playing as Russia, managed to get prussia into my power block during their civil war (they lost their own pb for whatever reason), used sovereing empire mechanic to subjugate them and then helped them win a unification play they started, which gave me all of Germany as puppet for free.
If this turns out to be easily replicated it may became quite an op strategy.
Also It was weird when during unification war my baltic duchies suddenly became part of germany.
