Lately I've been making friends together with my boyfriend. This girl is the friend I never expected to have. We just usually ignore each other on the campus. She has an intimidating aura and out of my league type of person. While we were hanging out together along with our other friends, we shared our first impressions to each other one by one. I was feeling so much anxiety, maybe because I am anxious about their eyes all on me when it's my turn to speak? I was kinda stuterring. And maybe I was also nervous because I'm having false attraction towards this new friend. Further, I stumbled and she was behind me saying "what happened to you" while laughing. I got so much anxiety because it felt like I'm liking the fact that I'm being friends with her.
Now I don't even know if I'm nervous and anxious because of my rOCD and unwanted thoughts or because I really like her? Btw my false attraction started when I felt like I was being too boasful about the fact that I'm friends with someone like her to my best friend and not wanting to introduce them to each other. It feels like I want her to be my friend only. I never wanted that kind of thoughts, I don't wanna be that person. I tried to check if I feel that way again earlier and I definitely don't, I am totally alright about them being friends. I just really get boastful to other people including my bsf when I make friends like her who's out of my league. Someone said it's not an attraction, but like jealousy/posessiveness, that scared me 'cause I don't wanna be that.
Now I don't know if I should stay friends with her and prove my rOCD wrong or I should stop because it'll be cheating. Any advice how to face this situation?

I recently got an E14 Gen 6 (Intel Ultra 7 155H, 32gb Ram, 1tb SSD, Windows 11) and unless I'm in Energy-Saving-Mode the fan runs pretty much always, even with CPU at 4% (e.g. Firefox 1 Tab open) it's 1min on, 1min off and then on for literally any task (opening the start menu for example). I updated the system and bios, the laptop is new so fan should be clean. I can still return it and get a T14s Gen 4 (AMD Ryzen 7 Pro, 32gb Ram, 500gb SSD, Windows 11) for the same price. Would you think this would run the fan less since its optimized for being light and portable? Performance wise I should be fine with both, mainly data analysis and modelling. Are there any down - or upsides I'm not considering? Thanks a lot for your inout!

2024.11.28 10:41 Sparkyggs PC deciding to run slow
Hardly have problems with games starting up or even anything on my pc most of the time. But for some reason tn all I’m trying to do is play GTA5 at 5AM. I try to open steam, “verifying installation” starts to take over 5 minutes so I restart my PC which fixes this and now Steam opens. Then I need to update American Truck Simulator. (I like to have all games updated and what not before playing something else). So i try to do this and it gets to 28% and won’t move and it says the install time is 17 days in the pic here. I pause the install but before it fully stops it ended up getting up to fucking 3 months. So I uninstalled the game, try to play GTA5 and now I can’t get past the god damn loading screen and it got up to 10 mins. Wth is going on with my computer? Mind yall this is the second time this has happened, first time it happened was around 4AM.

The City players & Pep have credit in the bank, personally I think we’ll be lucky to finish the season with an F.A cup & top 4 at this point, it’ll take a massive turn around plus a minimum of 2 January additions to even get close to winning the PL or CL this season, it’s very unlikely at this point.
Still there is plenty to look forward too on the horizon, clearly a big summer clear out is needed which means fresh faces!
I see a lot of similarities this season with Pep’s first season, we all seen how ruthless City were that following summer, it’ll be the same this year.
We’ve won so much over the past 4/5 years that we can’t really be too upset with the situation, yes it could have been avoided with better planning ect but that’s just how things pan out, i’m sure if City knew Pep was staying for a possible 2 more seasons at the end of last season the summer window might have been a little different, but here we are.
Hopefully the players just take one game at a time and pull through until January, Zubimendi would be a massive statement signing in Jan, along with a another striker it could be enough to see us finish top 4 with a possible F.A Cup & if we’re lucky a CL final (doubtful at this point)
Other than adding a striker & midfielder in January I don’t think there’ll be any other incomings, 2 signings is even a push!
The Summer window will be a busy one, Walker , Grealish, Ake will all be sold imo.
A new RB , CB & CM are most definitely needed in the summer & that’s on top of already signing Zubimendi & a striker in Jan.
That would be 5 new options in the squad along with Rodri, Bobb and Echeverri returning.
Colum Doyle is another option in defence .
Next season will be the ONE!
Enjoy this season for what it is, a transitional one.

In October I lost two close family members, and my relationship. Work was sucking me dry. I was starting to abuse substances to escape. I had nothing left to give. Really late the night of my 28th birthday, I nearly made the worst decision of my life, to end it. I won’t get into specifics, but I was maybe seconds away from going through with it.
Somehow, someway, my head told me to pause. I told myself I would give myself one hour to be sure. Two friends didn't pick up my call, understandably because it was 2am on a work night. My call to my mother didn't go through because little did I know, her phone broke that day. I felt alone and feeling pretty sure I wanted to go through with it after that. But I had 30 minutes left. So I put on the Tiny Desk set and closed my eyes and listened to every word like I never have before. I cried, a lot. But when the final note played, I realized I have so much to live for. I am not okay, and I need really need help. I needed someone. Thank you Fred for answering that call that night.
I stopped what I was doing and checked myself into the hospital that night. I’ve taken so many steps since towards making sure I am in a healthier and better place moving forward. I stopped being afraid to ask for help, and I’m getting that help now. I realize despite what happened, I do have a good support system around me and people that care. I am doing a lot better now and I’m hopeful and motivated. I’m excited for this path of healing I am on right now. I believe in myself.
I know it is a long shot to actually reach out on any platform and have him actually see it, and the letter I wrote was apparently too long to send on insta. So I was hoping to find some way to send it, even if he never sees it. Thank you again Fred, you impact so many of us in really powerful ways.

Started the ACA in September, failed accounting and then passed the resit with a 55. just failed MI with a 43 and I'm really starting to doubt myself now.
I passed BTF and Assurance fine but if i fail this MI resit i'm almost certainly going to get fired. I've also heard that it only get harder from here and I'm already barely able to cope with it. Has anyone got any success stories to cheer me up a bit 😅
