2024.11.28 12:30 NewCombination4514 PERDIDO DA VIDA

What size display? Soon, I'm moving into this new property - which has a dedicated media room. I'm new to home theatre and had planned to buy a 65" 4k OLED. However it seems that based on the room size, I'll probably be sitting ~4.5m from the display.
What size is recommended here? Or should I be considering projectors instead?

2024.11.28 12:30 AutoModerator ANNOUNCEMENT - AVOID BEING SCAMMED

* READ TO LEARN HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM SCAMMERS! THIS MESSAGE WILL REPEAT EVERY 12 HOURS \*
As the sub grows, so does it's exposure to scammers. As mods, we do our best to protect the sub, but need y'all's help as well. We are a community. We do not like reading modmails when our fellow members get scammed, but do know that most could have been prevented given they follow the tips we've laid out. Below are these tips on how to stay protected:
How to message the mods - https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=/fragranceswap
Banned and sketchy users - https://www.reddit.com/fragranceswap/wiki/banned
* Always use PayPal/Venmo G&S when buying from someone with under 15 flair on the sub. A scammer will give a BS reason why they can't accept G&S. Anyone with under 15 flair MUST accept G&S as a form of payment according to the rules of the sub. This rule is non-negotiable. If they will not, please report them to the mods.
* Ask a potential seller to comment on your post. This proves that they are not banned from the sub. That doesn't always mean they are a scammer though. It could just mean that they do not meet the sub requirements to become an approved member. They still need to accept G&S though. Check the banned list and vet the seller through their profile.
* Ask for specific timestamped pictures. A "timestamp" is a picture a seller takes with a handwritten note including their username and date next to the item they are selling. Ask for this with "odd" requests such as a picture of the bottle on its side or with the cap off, etc. If they are not willing to provide that then avoid the transaction and report them to the mods. Scammers are becoming crafty and often try and photoshop the timestamp in with a picture they found on google. Be aware and inspect timestamps closely for evidence of photoshopping. Look for blurred edges of paper, shadows not matching up with others in the picture, etc. If you are in doubt, don't hesitate to contact us with the picture.
* "Sellers" who start the conversation off with "WTS (insert frag you're looking for)" are 99.99% most likely a scammer. Scammers will always give you a great deal, or ask you to name your price. Any "seller" who is willing to accept half payment upfront then the other half after delivery to avoid using G&S is most likely a scammer. If it seems to good to be true or fishy, it most likely is.
Please do your due diligence, folks. If you're ever in doubt, reach out to us. Stay safe!

2024.11.28 12:30 gonzalus1495 So, you want to shave? A probably unnecessary, very long and quite thorough crash course or guide to shaving.

Dunno if the beautiful people here want or need a shaving "guide" but thought I'd write it after countless times shaving just in case someone out there needs it. Been a lurker for a long while here and thought I'd give back a little bit to this amazing community. I've never written a "guide" before so forgive me if it reads strange. For context, I am 21 years old and have shaved almost every week for the past 5 years, never waxed, never did laser hair removal, never tried hair removal creams (though I do want to soon) and never did anything but razor-shave.
What you will need: A razor - I've never cared much for which razor I use, usually I'll buy whichever one is closest to me in the aisle at the grocery store, and always multi-bladed ones, so I'm not sure the results you'd get from a single bladed razor. However, you might want to expand your options in due time depending on your needs. See below the part about sensitive or resilient skin for that.
Shaving Cream or Conditioner - I exclusively use Conditioner to shave my private parts, and just water for my legs, armpits, arms, face, et cetera. Have not tried Shaving Cream before but I assume it'd have a similar effect.
Loads of patience - This is the most important necessity. Rushing is a sure way for accidents to happen. Be patient and careful and you will be fine.
Intro: It's very important to know whether your skin is sensitive or resilient to the shaving process. I highly recommend shaving small spots in your arms or legs using Shaving Cream, Conditioner and plain Water on different spots, then waiting about 24 hours to see whether you develop rashes, razor burns or itchiness in the area.
If, for example, you shave a small spot on your arm with water, and another spot on your other arm with conditioner, and the one with only plain water develops a rash, while the one with conditioner doesn't, then you know that you cannot shave without a product to help. Different razors might deliver different results aswell. I've had terrible razors that were much harder on the skin and great razors that were gentle but shaved great. It is honestly just a matter of trying out different things.
Always make sure the razor does *NOT* move horizontally, that's a very easy way to accidentally cut yourself. The razor should always move vertically. In other words, don't move it in the direction of where the blades will slice but instead move it in the direction where the blades will 'scrape', imagine you're trying to scrape off some chopped veggies off a cutting board, you scrape the knife against it's edge, not cut across.
Big disclaimer though, I always shave while showering and it takes me about 30 minutes for a full shave, however, you can take longer if needed, after all, slow and steady wins the race. I have no experience shaving outside of the shower, thus, I can only recommend that you do it in the shower aswell.
Whether you want to be fully clean and smooth shaven, or don't mind a little stubble is up to you. There's two different ways to shave, one is shaving against the grain of the hair, and one is shaving with the grain. This means whether you shave in the direction your hair faces, or against that direction. Shaving against the grain yields smoother results, but can cause irritation or razor burns, shaving with the grain can leave the roots of the hair follicles intact, thus being less smooth and resulting in the hair also growing back quicker. It's up to you which one you prefer, I always shave against the grain since my skin is very resilient and I never get razor burns.
Last thing, make sure you're clearing the razor blades after every few movements, if there's hairs stuck on the blades, it will not only shave less efficiently but also feel worse and you might be more likely to accidentally cut yourself. I do it by pushing my thumb in the direction where the blades are facing (so I don't cut my thumb) while holding the blade under a stream of water.
Face: Pretty straightforward, you will put whichever product (or no product) on the spots in your face that have hair that you want to remove, then move the razor gently across it. I recommend always trying to make sure that the spots you shave are as flat as possible so the blades do not catch on uneven edges and potentially cut you. So yes, make a funny face so that your lips, chin and cheeks stretch and you can get a nice smooth surface to shave. Be careful mostly around the chin and lips, as those places can easily catch onto the blade.
Armpits: Apply product (or no product) on the hair, and lift up your arm above your head. Bend the elbow so your hand can still reach the armpit, and use that hand to stretch the skin as much as possible so that you have a smooth surface with no pointy edges that will get cut by the blade. Then use your other arm to utilize the razor blade. I like to push the muscle that connects the arm to the chest (I believe it's called 'Pectoralis Major') with my thumb on the arm that I am shaving, so that the skin stretches closer to the chest and gives you a better surface area to work with.
Arms: The arms should be the easiest part of the shaving process, most of the arm is very flat and stretched already, so accidentally cutting yourself should be a non-issue on the biceps, forearms and triceps. However, you should be careful around the elbow and wrist bones. These two bones create uneven surfaces which make it easy for the razor to get stuck and cut. You should always attempt to stretch and pull the skin away from those bones, and hold it in place while you shave it, then, once shaven, you can easily release it back into it's original position.
Chest and Belly: To be honest, I barely grow hair on my torso, so I'm not of much help here. Nonetheless, many of the basic principles still apply. Stretch and move skin outside of boney and uneven surfaces, shave away from your nipple and not towards it, be careful around your belly button, et cetera. Also, keep in mind that if your body hair is long (especially around the nipple) you can also lay it in an area where it's easier to shave.
Penis: The area between the base of your penis and your belly button should be fairly easy to shave without cutting yourself. Just make sure you're constantly clearing the blade from hairs, as, in my experience, the hair is thick in this area and gets easily stuck. Continue using the principles of stretching and pulling the skin when necessary. Once you move to the base of the penis itself, be cautious and take your time, shouldn't be too hard still as the area is mostly flat.
Testicles: For the testicles, you must exercise high amounts of caution and patience. Hold your testicles with one hand and pull them a little so that the scrotum stretches, then, use the razor carefully to shave off the hairs, and move the skin wherever needed so you do not have uneven edges. Do not let them hang as it will increase the likelihood of an accident. If you accidentally cut them, stop shaving, examine the damage, and if severe enough, consult a medical professional. Have no fear of pulling the testicles around to get smooth surfaces to shave, particularly around the base and sides. Be *PATIENT*. I don't want you to cut yourself on accident.
Butt: You will want to stand with your knees slightly bent, in an halfway squatting position, then use one arm to pull the buttock that you want to shave towards the outside, and use the other arm to shave, make sure to initiate the movement towards the inner part of the butt and move it towards the outside of the buttock. Use this same maneuver when your reach the sit spots area and the perineum. And once again, do not shave by moving the blade side to side! Always use it against it's edge. Repeat with the opposite buttock. You may want to squat more or less depending on your reach and comfort, I prefer only a slight bend at the knees, but it's a matter of preference in my opinion.
Thighs: Probably the easiest part of shaving, it's squishy, it's even and it's smooth. Follow your heart and shave as preferred. Just keep in mind the ideas previously mentioned of shaving against the blades, stretching the skin where needed and being patient and careful.
Knees: Probably the hardest part of shaving, it's boney, it's uneven and it's tough. Be extremely careful around the bones, always pull and stretch the skin where possible to avoid the parts where the bones protrude. I recommend sitting down so you can bend and extend the knee whenever needed. Be *VERY* careful with the bones, the likelihood of accidentally cutting yourself here is probably the highest. For the inner side of the knee (the part that is squished into the thigh when bending the knee) I recommend standing up. you must be careful when shaving the skin of the tendons that run from the thigh to the calf throughout the knee, and pull the skin away from the area where needed. Be patient, be careful and do not rush, these uneven and non-flat surfaces are perfect places for the razor to cut into the skin.
Lower legs: The calf is a fairly easy part to shave, should not take any particularly excessive amount of precaution to shave this area. The shin on the other hand, can be quite tricky, be *VERY* careful with the tibia bone when shaving, it can and will cause accidental cutting if you're not careful. Stretch or pull the skin away from the tibia where possible, and shave in angles that align with flat parts of skin alongside the bone as much as possible. Do not try to shave the bone. When shaving this area, you should try keeping your heel on the floor while raising the foot in the frontal part where your toes are, this should cause your tibialis anterior muscle to flex above the tibia, allowing for a little more squishy surface in the shaving area.
TIps and tricks: - Use hot water when shaving, it will relax and soften the skin in preparation for the shave. - Be patient and take your time, this isn't a speedrun. - Clear the blade off hairs every time you finish a movement if you have not shaved in a while or if it's your first time shaving, and clear the blade every 2-3 movements if you have shaved recently. Keep the blade clear whenever possible and be intuitive about it. - Please. Be. Patient. - Be generous with the amount of product that you use, it isn't cheap but it's better than getting cut or having painful razor burns or rashes. No matter if it's shaving cream or conditioner, be generous. And if you only need water, then use plenty of that too. - Use moisturizer after shaving if you want to maximize your chances of avoiding razor burns and rashes, preferably a higher quality moisturizer, but any can and will do. Apply generously, particularly on the penis, testicles, legs and armpits. - *Be*. *Patient*. *Do not rush*.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I hope this is useful for someone, apologies if unnecessary or repetitive. Let me know if there's anything I should add, remove or talk about more in-depth. I'm aware that I yapped a lot while writing this, but I believe that being thorough is important, even if it's repeating the same thing over and over. Now that all the serious stuff is out of the way, just want to say that I love this community and love seeing people appreciate and partake in enjoying the femboy aesthethic! Somewhat ironic UwU hehe. If any of you cute femboys want or need any help, comment on this post or send me a DM if you prefer (only 18+ though please D: if you're a minor do not DM me, I will only talk to you in public comments) and I will help you to the best of my abilities!
