Hey all, can I survey y’all in some feedback on the young adults who came through college during COVID and are now in the workforce? how are their interpersonal & social skills? Level of presumed entitlement? Basic self-management & organizational skills?
General suggestions on their motivations & getting them to understand that their work quality really matters would be great…
I try to not generalize most of the time, but I’m just trying to get some traction on the sociological changes I think I’m noticing but feel like I don’t understand (I’m gen x). I actually don’t want the boomers to be right about participation awards ruining people 😂

Black women, like all women, deserve love, respect, and support. Some Black women come on here and other forums seeking relationship advice, just like everyone else. Dating and relationships are different for us. Though many of you will understand why I’ll still go right ahead and explain.
We’re often told that we should focus on ourselves and decenter men, but I think that idea can be damaging. For Black women, society already places a heavy burden on us—telling us that we aren’t “good enough” and that we shouldn’t aspire to the same things others do. Whether that’s attending an Ivy League school or landing a high-level job, there’s constant scrutiny of our achievements, often through the lens of stereotypes like affirmative action or “DEI hires.”
What bothers me is when Black women shame each other for wanting love and affection, calling each other “pick-me’s.” The truth is, women are built to be loved, supported, and cared for. We deserve attention, affection, and validation, not just from society or our communities, but also from the men in our lives.
We shouldn't feel pressured to decenter men just to prove our worth. It’s not about making men the center of our lives, but recognizing that love, support, and healthy relationships with men are part of our well-being and happiness. Black women deserve to be loved on their own terms, without shame or judgment for wanting the same things everyone else desires—love, success, and respect.

Hello!
I've built my own PC before, as well as helped a friend with building his own, and I love doing it. Picking the parts is 80% of the fun, but my only experience is for gaming desktops. I know virtually nothing about music production, so I'd like some tips in what to look out for in a computer for that.
She uses available audio samples and plugins, and also records singing and piano and adds that. I asked her if she wants to make more orchestral stuff too, which she confirmed (she is a classical musician). I don't know if this is relevant, but I'd think if is because of storage and ram usage. She already has a keyboard with all the jazz, and another small (MIDI?) keyboard for... control?
I'd like to know if there's things to keep in mind while scouting out CPUs and the amount of RAM. I'm thinking storage ought to be 1 nvme.2 for windows and drivers, 1 SSD, either SATA or nvme.2 for all the audio samples and files (though I'm leaning to nvme.2 for speed), and a SATA SSD or even an HDD for general storage and tracks.
We already have an old GPU in her old computer (1070Ti), which we'll put in this new PC, since it doesn't seem like music production needs any sort of GPU.
As for RAM, which I'm unsure of, I'm thinking and she wants 64gb+ at DDR4.
Her current desktop is over 12 years old and in desperate need of replacement at this point, which is why we're looking to build a new one.
The budget is free-for-all, she said, but I'm thinking to stick to around €1000 to €2000 (price of components are far more expensive where we live, so if advised components overshoots stated budget here, it's perfectly fine and understandable).
Any advice, or things to keep in mind while selecting parts?

This isn't a perfect list, I'm not always specific on the level of the reward. But I've been intensively playing the season quests these last couple months to earn gem-free rex topiaries (making some nice progress to the topiary wonders!)
I've been collecting info on the quests I see so I know when I can complete more than 3 per day just earning stars, and which quest I want to stop on that day to wait for it to reload so I get the desired reward the next day.
