I'm pretty new to the game, I'm trying to develop the habit of NOT chasing after someone no matter how dangerous if they call for me, I'm sort of at ppls beck and call all the time cuz I don't (fully) pocket and I've gotten into a habit of putting myself in bad spots so I can heal like idk a random scout lmao
But if there's a player who like repeatedly thanks me I find it so sweet š or the ppl who apologize (unnecessary) if they don't think they did well w an ubekritz, just like considerate ppl I love lol I find sooo kind

2024.11.28 15:51 lovepotionno10 Pre-2000s humorous fantasy novel about a princess in a world where chewing gum is the fashion?
I recall very little about this book/series. I read it in the United States in maybe 2005, but I believe it was published in the 70s-90s and grabbed from a garage sale. I believe the target audience was kids or teens, since I donāt remember anything standing out as raunchy or "adult" when I read it.
I remember the protagonist was the princess of a kingdom where it was fashionable to chew gum (she hates it). The main plot had to do with fighting or fending off trolls from the kingdom? She must have studied magic, as in the book or the sequel, I remember she travels back in time and turns out to be one of the ancient elders that set the rules/laws she rebels against, named Letitia or Lavinia. The book wasnāt a high fantasy vibe, but I remember feeling a lot like the Enchanted Forest Chronicles (the Princess Cimorene books).
I think this led into me reading and enjoying books by Jean Ferris and Patricia C. Wrede, so if Iāve conflated any details from the āUpon a Marigoldā series thatās probably why.

Ideally there is no tax.
Less ideally tax is lower. I mean we live in a society and we have this pests called commies that we can't just pretend they don't exist.
Why not try to make tax code simpler.
Two suggestions.
Georgism but modified. So land taxes and money goes to UBI for voters. Not for the whole population. Just those who can vote.
If everyone got UBI commies will just breed like rabbits and got more UBI. Or commies can come in drove and got UBI.
But most democracy have ways to prevent that from happening. People got to be 18 years old before they can vote. Immigrants have to stay 6 years before getting citizenship.
I would advocate peiple have to buy shares to vote. But if we look at Bitcoin, for example, even worthless effort like finding a nonce actually works up just fine.
Sweden has only 100 pages tax. US has 8k pages.
100 pages tax code in Sweden.
8k pages tax code in USA.
I used to think Sweden is communist.
But even communism, if straight forward, like tax land pay money to eligible voters to win election can give incentive for voters to be libertarians in other area.
Simplify tax codes.
Another suggestion from X. Just tax sales on all non essential goods. So tourists pay taxes too.
A small head taxes for immigrants will ensure all immigrants are economically productive.

I found these people living in an abandoned house with a demon. The demon talks to me, says something about eating human flesh as punishment. It then cuts to half a dead body thats been eaten off of, and someone crying saying they can't eat it whilst on their knees, sitting over a toilet. I see their hands, and in it is a small, bloody chunk of meat.
It then switches to me on a railroad or mini coaster in the woods surrounded by a river, with the two people living with the demon, when the track stops. They get upset. I overhear them say that I was supposed to be food. I quickly jump off the cliff, into the water and swim to this circular section in the river, and swim onto a little island, get off of it to continue swimming, then swim back. Behind me i see black where the cliff i was at was, and the words, dark forest. I look ahead. To my left, I see ropes in the water, and internally I think, 'I will drown if I swim through those'. To my right I see a ledge, assumingly made out of rock, leading out of the water. I grab some rope I found, swing it through a whole in the rock, and somehow rap it through before swimming again, and making my way up. Once in the woods again, I see that the two people from before have hung themselves out of fear of what the demon would do to them as punishment for me escaping when they got back home.
Once out of the woods, I find a park, with an extremely, unusually tall, skinny, frizzy haired lady. The best way I could possible describe her body is like the rakes, but taller, and a taller, flatter, and skinnier upper half. She claims she is an author.
Keep in mind, I didn't wake up scared or anything, so I don't think it was technically a nightmare?

Hello everyone, I'm enjoying my EE playthrough, thanks for the advice from everyone on my other posts. I'm still set on recruiting everyone and having them go to the Friendly arm in when I'm done with their side quests.
I'm gonna get Ajantis to clear the nest of the ankhegs and maybe Dorns enemies outside BG then ditch him before he starts a fight with Dorn.
Coran just finished the wyvern quest with me. So atm the only other guy I can get is Eldoth. I'm looking for minor spoilers about his quest with his GF and extorting her dad. Is her dad rich enough or a jerk enough that I won't feel guilty? I know he's a jerk too and doesn't love Skie like she loves him but still, I'll do their quest and send them on their way. Do you lose reputation or anything? You end up having to kill any cleaning ladies like in winter soldier or something lol.
I know the game isn't made for this but I like it, I disabled exp caps so my final team will be able to catch up on the diffused exp probably.
I'm thinking of replacing imoen at the level she gets to in canon instead of my earlier plans in my earlier post to edit her to be a higher thief before dual classing to avoid continuity issues.
Do items only carry over from charname and imoens inventories? Should I strip everyone else?
