I've read some other posts about this but am still confused on the conditions and process of doing the installment plan for an iPhone. This is the first time I'm doing this and the wording is confusing to me, so please no judging! Here is the screenshot of the conditions I'm reading.

- If the payment plan is 1.99 for 36 months, is the phone considered paid off after 36 months or is there a remaining balance that needs to be paid? I don't know why it is hard for me to believe they'll only make me pay 71 dollars of the phone and they will pay for the rest.
- How do I know if I currently have an eligible unlimited wireless plan? I have unlimited, but I'm not sure if it is eligible. If I need to get an eligible unlimited wireless plan, I have to pay the minimum 60.99/month, right?
- What is considered a new line?

My Experience in School
I am a student(part of council) at Delhi Public School, a well-known school society in India. As an above-average, academically inclined, skinny student, I often found myself on the receiving end of harassment. This is my story.
The Early Years (Class 1st to 5th)
From classes 1st to 5th, I was an introverted child who barely spoke to anyone. I believe one of the reasons for this was the COVID-19 lockdown, which kept us isolated for a long time. Returning to physical school was challenging, but I managed to adapt.
Opening Up (Class 6th)
In 6th grade, I started to open up, made a few friends, and even began pointing out mistakes made by teachers. This brought me into the spotlight, with some teachers recognizing me. However, this also made me a target.
There was one teacher (I won’t name names) who fought with me for almost half a month over an annual function. She wanted me to play the role of Laxman (I’m an atheist, by the way), but I didn’t want to participate. Frustrated, she once said to me, “Apni nawab giri kahin aur jaake dikhao”
Although she eventually forgot about this incident, I didn’t. My friends started teasing me about it, turning it into a joke that followed me for months. To make things worse, one of my so-called friends (let’s call him “colony ki aunty”) stirred up even more trouble. By the end of 6th grade, despite securing 92% in academics, I felt relieved when “colony ki aunty” left the school.
Turning Over (Class 7th)
With fewer familiar faces, I had a chance to either retreat into silence or make new friends. I chose the latter. The year went well. Of course, there were some students who disliked me and even warned others about me, but overall, things were manageable.
Challenges (Class 8th)
I started 8th grade with a strong performance (91%) and a supportive class teacher (SST). However, I was once again placed in the same class as some of my old bullies. While I did find support among hostelers, we all know how unreliable hostelers can be—they stand by you today, but tomorrow, they’re someone else’s best friend.
This time, I was fortunate to meet a genuinely supportive classmate (a female friend) who often reassured me by saying, “Tum itne bhi bure nahi ho”. Unfortunately, there were still toxic people in my circle. Some friends would casually call me names like “Bhai, tum to gay ho” or tell me to “stay away” while shamelessly asking for my notes and homework at the same time.
The Bullying
Bullying was a constant in my school life. I was called every name imaginable:
“Ch**iya nerd”
“Bodybuilder muh me leta hoga, tabhi jawline hai iski”
“Chasmish, kya kar lega? Complaint? Baap hain hum tere”
“Cockroach ki shakal ka”
“Ladkiyon ka ch**da”
The verbal abuse was relentless. I tried to ignore it, often smiling and walking away, but this only emboldened them to harass me more. It became so frequent that I began to take it casually, as if it were normal.
The worst incident was when they cut the sleeve of my shirt and ran away. Even if they had stayed, I doubt I could have fought back. Complaining to teachers felt useless because they usually brushed such issues aside, treating them as trivial.
Reflection
Looking back, I sometimes wonder if I handled things wrong. Ignoring the harassment seemed like the best option at the time, but it gave the bullies a license to continue. Teachers weren’t much help either, so I felt stuck.
