I own a 2024 Tesla Model 3 Long Range, purchased in Vancouver, BC. I believe it was manufactured in Tesla’s Shanghai factory before being imported into Canada. I’ve been doing some research but still have a few questions: 1. Import fees: What kind of costs should I expect, such as customs duties, taxes, or other charges? 2. Compliance: Does my Tesla need any modifications to meet U.S. regulations, like emissions or safety standards? 3. Registration and insurance: How does the process work in Nevada, and are there any potential challenges for a previously Canadian vehicle? 4. Timelines: How long does the import process usually take? Should I start early, or can this be done after I arrive? 5. Any additional tips: Are there any less obvious steps I should be aware of when bringing a Canadian car to the U.S.?

Hi there, Currently having an issue with my 2015 fr 1.4tsi Owned it 2 months and it’s going into the garage on Monday, Currently under warranty. Issues I’m having are as follows A noise from the engine bay when the clutch IS NOT PRESSED goes away once clutch is pushed to the floor. Had as I’ve driven along x2 now the car would randomly shake I’d feel the whole car shake very strange feeling. Both times in 2nd gear. When I push the clutch down it now makes a popping noise very loud unless I’m driving then turns into a squeak, This has already been into the garage once and they said they couldn’t hear it. So I’m hoping this time as it’s much worse they’ll be able to fix this as I absolutely love this car. Anyone have any idea on what this could be. Dealer I bought it from has been fine and I offered to have an independent inspection as they’d already had this looked at once. But they said to just book it in again which is good news. Any ideas welcome

2024.11.28 18:39 Edhin_OShea I didn't find the answer in the wiki, can I compost our trash burn barrel ash? Leaves (only, not the vine) for poison ivy.
In our burn barrel we put only safely burnable items. My current compost pile isn't large enough to hold everything. We plan on making space for a larger compost pile. Q: That said, if we put the ashes into the compost pile, what do I need to do to compensate?
We are needing to clean up a downed tree that had live poison ivy vine grown up it. We know we need to put the rooty vine in a black trash bag and take it to the dump.
Q: Can the now dead leaves be composted?
