I’m looking to do Africa next year as a DN, as I’ve DN’d on every other continent at this point (besides the obvious).
I’m very worried about consistent power. I take about 10 hours of meetings a week and can’t afford random power outages. I’m happy to work out of cowork spaces or pay more for apartments with back up power, but access to a place with constant power is a MUST (at least during the hours of 2pm-midnight)
I’m planning the following locations, 3 months each.
Nairobi, Kenya Johannesburg, South Africa Kigali, Rwanda Marrakech, Morocco

A "big" paper for my PhD work is just published today. However, I just realized that the co-first authorship was not indicated at my expense. When I spoke to my supervisor about it, he mentioned that he had it in the last version submitted but no one picked it up during the proofreading process. I also just figured out that the "Author Contribution" section is not present entirely in the online version. How is this even possible? Is it true that once a paper is published, there is no way to correct it unless the authors decide to retract? What should I do?
I feel very demotivated, angry, upset, disappointed. The thing is I have published quite a few original articles in my PhD so far, but this is THE ONE. So I feel upset that I (or we) made a careless "mistake" when it comes to the thing that really matters to me.
Some motivating words are really appreciated right now.

  1. In January, records hourly tasks using TIME activity totaling 1 1/5 billable hours so the invoice will be $150.
  2. In February, she records. hourly tasks using TIME activity totaling 45 minutes. Is there a way to configure QBO such that it invoices the customer $100 (the minimum) instead of $75 and she has to manally adjust to thr $100 minimum?

I bought some cheap boots off of Amazon. They weren't even that cheap dude, so idk how it could get that bad (they were $50). My work doesn't require steel toe boots, but they do require boots and they don't even give a discount.
I don't want to go too deep into what happened to my feet, but they were constantly bloody and I had to get 3 toenails removed. They fit a little loose btw.
Gross.
