 | Abstract Technological innovation has been crucial in the evolution of our lineage, with tool use and production linked to complex cognitive processes. While previous research has examined the cognitive demands of early stone toolmaking, the neurocognitive aspects of early hominin tool use remain largely underexplored. This study relies on electroencephalography to investigate brain activation patterns associated with two distinct early hominin tool-using behaviors: forceful hammerstone percussion, practiced by both humans and non-human primates and linked to the earliest proposed stone tool industries, and precise flake cutting, an exclusive hominin behavior typically associated with the Oldowan. Our results show increased engagement of the frontoparietal regions during both tasks. Furthermore, we observed significantly increased beta power in the frontal and centroparietal areas when manipulating a cutting flake compared to a hammerstone, and increased beta activity over contralateral frontal areas during the aiming (planning) stage of the tool-using process. This original empirical evidence suggests that certain fundamental brain changes during early hominin evolution may be linked to precise stone tool use. Hello everyone!
A few weeks ago I posted here asking for some encouragement to book a flight. Thanks to your messages, I managed to schedule my trip and last weekend - after 12 months without seeing each other - I hugged my dad!
The flight was a bit rough with a very windy landing on Istanbul, but cabin staff was great. They let me know that some turbulence was expected and checked on me regularly.
My father was so happy. It was a surprise and he was shocked to see me, we both started crying. It was just 2 days together, but it was one of the nicest memories I ever had with him.

I am trying to find influential ways to communicate with people who will disregard the truth (flat out lie) or dismiss it once it is undeniable (saying it doesn’t matter, or pivot to what about-isms).
This idea came up after reading an article describing a political leaders use of “alternative facts.” These are things that are easily disprovable but his followers don’t seem to care. The goal is to help them see how harmful their choice in leader is—not necessarily for policy reasons, but because this person is the opposite of their own moral and ethical values.
How could you craft a prompt to develop effective talking points for engaging with and influencing such individuals?
I assume you would need to input what this leader says along with the common talking points his followers use.
One idea would be to create a gpt that you could converse with, with the gpt taking on the roll of your counterpoints avatar. Then, when finished, grade your conversation for ability to influence and give ideas on what to do better next time.

I've got either +113.4% damage and +54.7% multishot or +46.4% crit damage, +36.1% fire rate, +72.5% crit chance and x0.84 damage to infested.
I've been reading that multishot and damage are more ideal with negative crit chance, but some people are saying hybrid builds with some crit chance is good. I've only just got this weapon so I'm not sure build to go for.
