2024.11.28 18:50 SimplyBrioche Book before Act II Movie or After??
Okay so I saw the movie last Monday, completely blind. I knew nothing about the movie, play, book, story, I heard Defying Gravity maybe once from start to finish before. My coworker, who's a fan, really wanted to go and then she canceled on me and I figured I would just go see it. Well, I really liked it and now feel invested in the story.
Now I am interested in reading the book. My question is not "is the book good??" Or "is it better than the movie/play"??? Because I have no doubt many would answer yes to both, but rather do you think I should wait to read the book after both movies so I can enjoy the second movie for what it is or do you think I should read the book so I understand more going into the second movie? My thinking on this is that whenever I have read the book before seeing the media, I pretty much always dislike the media due to missing parts in the book that I loved, changed story/character characteristics, etc, but if I watch the media first and then read the book, it's fine because I can consider them 2 different things.
What do you guys think? I'm open to both and while I can wait a year for the movie without reading the book, I also love to research new things I like so I'm interested to hear anyone's thoughts or if they read the book first/saw the play first/watched the movie first then did the others and vice versa.

I'm grateful today because I accidentally found out that there is a dog competition show on TV (the poodles are ridiculous) and following that, is the Thanksgiving parade. I'm Canadian, so we already had Thanksgiving but we don't have a parade.
Also, I feel like I won the lottery because I got a GP today and bonus for me, it's a woman. Don't hate on me, I have PTSD because of long term sexual abuse, so I was really hoping my PAP smear would be done by a woman.

Is any one else having trouble with youtube's "this video not available" I did do a search but couldn't find any other people complaining about YouTube. I did log out and back In again, my API keys and everything is in and was working great up to a few days ago.
I would like to keep YouTube addon as I watch my subscriptions.
It would be awesome If anyone has a solution or a dedicated repository for me.

There was a post from LeaveJoostAlone from X here today (deleted by mod) about a X-post of someone that alleged that Joost & friends are trolling here. It was my X post and not some 'Dentist' or a delulu. (this last word is so quick used here 😒). Sorry about that...
I am a normal fangirl that was just fed up with the always nice and good vibe here went away in my eyes. It came together with "some users" that appeared and took kind of over the sub, out nowhere. It became a toxic / unsafe place for my feelings with the sarcastic and maen words, memes, jokes here by time from time. I am a HSP person with a past so those hit me wrong and harder then someone with a thick skin. I am blocked by those 4 'new users' so it's clear for me a club who know each other and are not just fangirls but more man-talking kinda people. I'm gonna leave the sub now because it look they gonna stay for a while and feel fine with all their downvotes and if not they gonna make it you very clearly. Pff. X is drama and hard but for me but now its here too. I liked here the past couple of months so I will be sure missing this.
If this sarcastic humor and trolling way of Joost & friends is really what they stands for, then its not for me. His art must be liked but the way he acts with fans is also with the total pakket...
His friends come also along, and they are def not my cup of tea. So Joost ;) 1 lost ... 2 milj. still to go 😉 to feel fine again.
