Hi all
There is a young African American guy that is homeless that I have seen several times the past few weeks at the corner of 17 and 204. I have given him a few dollars and have had a conversation with him several times. He definitely doesn't appear to be on drugs and has been so polite each time I've spoken with him. He explained to me that he moved down here with a female and things didn't work out and she kicked him out with bothing. He is just trying to get back home to South Carolina. I was trying to find a hot meal for him for Thanksgiving but my family already celebrated Thanksgiving this past weekend and nothing is open.
If anyone is out and is going that way, I'm sure anything would be a help to him. (Clothes, food, change or even just a conversation).
I have a son around his age so it breaks my heart that someone's son is living on the streets.

I have been searching for a used car at 6k, unfortunately marketplace in my area is pretty much cooked, no one in my area is selling anything that is not a flipper, and next-door, and craigslist are dead in my area. I have been mainly looking at used car dealerships, which unfortunately don't seem to be a ton better, usually, it's the same crap where they are like I need to bring a mechanic to have it inspected, and can't take it to a local shop to get it looked at even if I offer for them to pay for it and pick a well-known place, and have them take it. The brands I have been mainly looking at are Honda/Acura, Toyota(and its various brands Scion, Lexus, etc), 2012 Ford Fusions, and Subaru. I have not heard anything good past 100k with any other brands but I wonder if there are specific models that could work well at 150k etc.

Hey all, currently using a Hyperx Cloud 2 Wireless gaming headset for my desktop setup which is starting to wear and tear, mic quality is horrible and I want to move away from gaming headsets. I'm thinking of getting a good quality headset with a boom mic setup, primarily for gaming and listening to music.
I don't play any fps games, mainly rpgs and I sit on discord with friends + listen to music. In doing my research I've come across the Sennheiser HD560s, Sennheiser HD6XX and the Beyerdynamic Tyger 300r (little pricier than the others) all of which are within or around my budget. Does anyone have any experience with these headsets or any suggestions on others I should look at around the same price point (200-300 CAD). Also any suggestions on standalone mics for a boom setup? Thank you

I’m tired of these self-righteous environmentalists, these white, bourgeois liberals who think the only thing wrong with this country is that there aren’t enough bicycle paths. People trying to make the world safe for Volvos. Besides, environmentalists don’t give a shit about the planet. Not in the abstract they don’t. You know what they’re interested in? A clean place to live. Their own habitat. They’re worried that some day in the future they might be personally inconvenienced. Narrow, unenlightened self-interest doesn’t impress me.
The planet has been through a lot worse than us. Been through earthquakes, volcanoes, plate tectonics, continental drift, solar flares, sun spots, magnetic storms, the magnetic reversal of the poles … hundreds of thousands of years of bombardment by comets and asteroids and meteors, worldwide floods, tidal waves, worldwide fires, erosion, cosmic rays, recurring ice ages … And we think some plastic bags and some aluminum cans are going to make a difference? The planet isn’t going anywhere. WE ARE!
We’re going away. Pack your shit, folks. We’re going away. And we won’t leave much of a trace, either. Maybe a little Styrofoam … The planet will be here and we’ll be long gone. Just another failed mutation. Just another closed-end biological mistake. An evolutionary cul-de-sac. The planet’ll shake us off like a bad case of fleas.
The planet will be here for a long, long, LONG time after we’re gone, and it will heal itself, it will cleanse itself, ’cause that’s what it does. It’s a self-correcting system. The air and the water will recover, the earth will be renewed. And if it’s true that plastic is not degradable, well, the planet will simply incorporate plastic into a new paradigm: the earth plus plastic. The earth doesn’t share our prejudice toward plastic. Plastic came out of the earth. The earth probably sees plastic as just another one of its children. Could be the only reason the earth allowed us to be spawned from it in the first place. It wanted plastic for itself. Didn’t know how to make it. Needed us. Could be the answer to our age-old philosophical question, “Why are we here?”

Wow, today has been hard as hell and I have only been awake for 2 hours. All of my friends are busy today, so I have no one to talk to expect my family, who really just don't get what I'm going through.
I can't stop thinking about the last 2 Thanksgivings. How we spent them making food all day, listening to music, playing games after we eat with her brother and sister in law. How we would cuddle on the couch as it got colder, and shared pie and cider.
I can't believe she is gone. I can't believe the Love of my life is no longer in my life. It doesn't feel real. And when it does, it feels incredibly cruel. What have I done to deserve this pain.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. I'm having a hard time coming up with things to be thankful for, but at least we have each other.
