Just wanted to point out that this sub has surpassed the 10k members milestone! That's not a small amount for a such hyper specific and consistently downplayed or dismissed health issue like this. I'm sure there are plenty more sufferers out there that will eventually happen across this support group, especially with myopia consistently on the rise.
Let's keep up the awareness of this issue and look forward to whatever little rays of hope we can see in the distance (when floaters aren't in the way :p) such as Pulse Medica or hydrogel vitreous substitutes.

I did it!! Yesterday was surgery! I had everything removed except my ovaries. I also had my bladder tacked so that is something else that is healing. Last night my bladder was spasming and it was horrible! I have been taking short walks around my house every 2 hours and then back to bed. I’m still very tired, sore, and weak. I’m taking my gas-x, stool softeners, and also miralax in my Gatorade. My husband is amazing along with my mom and youngest daughter who is 15. I have sat in the recliner with my knees on the knee pillow. I am side sleeper so not being able to sleep in my side is so difficult for me. However, I have my wedge and knee pillow under knees which makes being on my back easier. When I woke up this morning I brushed my teeth, used body wipes to wipe off what needed to wiped off then put on clean under clothes and gown with non-skid fuzzy socks. Im hoping tomorrow I’ll be feeling even better. Thank you to everyone and their advice, stories, etc I was able to read about prior to my own surgery. Your words and thoughts helped me more than you will ever know. Safe and quick healing my friends! 🫶🏻

I 17M, my friend 16F are childhood friends and recently for the last yr we parted ways due to my father's transfer and she also changed the school last few months back We still stayed in touch everyday and she always told me about this group of bullies that start to pick of on her but i always said to just ignore her cause its going to affect you only and tried to cheer her as much as i could and told her to focus on studies as she's always been a very bright kid and not a lot happened she just mainted distance from all of the arguements they made at her, though i knew it was affected her in someway but for the past 2 weeks for the It's been esclated a lot and its now seriously affecting her very badly as she's always been an emotional kid and take things up to her head very easy i tried talking and consoling her, she even cried a lot, i am feeling really bad i couldn't do anything by being physically present there. I tried advicing her to first of all please maintain distance from this group because bullies at last just crave your attention that's it and told her to reach the authorities and complained to her.
She did complained the authorities but they didn't took up any action against her until few days back they hit her with a shoe dipped in toilet and she called heavely crying me in the evening, I immidiately told her father to please write a letter to board and as he did on the phone. Next day the board finally decided to expell the main kid who was leading the bully pack and who threwed shoe on her face. I was really happy that she'll be finally free from all of this, this bully that she told me about it is a very shameless kid, doesn't respects anyone, bunks classes nd even has a history of hitting teachers basically she doesn't care.
She even video called me by cutting a cake celebrating the bully is gone, i was really happy and relieved but
Today as she told me now while coming back 3 people tried to pick up a fight with her physically this girl who got expelled out, her bf and his male friend. She ran as fast as she could and escaped out of there way and reached her nani's house as its much closer to her house from school. She wasn't hurt or anything but i am scared because things have got really out school's hand as she is expelled and i am really worried if anything happens to her.
What should she do guys please help, i can't see my friend suffering like this because its been affecting her mental health and studies
Please help, it would mean lot i am very much worried about this situation

I had a dream last night about some hk video essay, and it was pretty much just the usual stuff, but then they started talking about how great this one character was: Jirbil. Jirbil was an npc who looked sort of like brumm, but they wore blue instead of red. They were found in sanctum, and their thing was that they ran a thrift store. Not a hallownest thrift store, just a regular, human thrift store. And the store wasn't in sanctum either. The regular, human thrift store was in some regular, human town, and Jirbil was just hanging out in sanctum. I don't know how to feel.
