2024.11.28 20:00 Jolly_Geologist_9308 Pain from belly button to waist line

Hello I have anxiety and pulled, poked, pinched, and squeeze the areas of my body when worried. I start squeezing the skin by putting my thumb deep in my belly button and then squeezing my waistline with remaining fingers together. I'm not obese but I have a little belly fat. It is making my belly button raw. It now feels like a ligament is swollen between belly button and waist line. (same area my hand grabbed). I went to er today because of discomfort and had a ct scan of abdomen. All was clear thank God. Could my playing around with this area caused the pain? Maybe I irritated my small intestines? Pics of how I pinch attached.

2024.11.28 20:00 Beginning-Elk-3372 Planning my first cut, advice needed. (25M, 86kg, 6'2)

I’ve been working out for 4 years now, but I’ve never gone on a proper cut. I’ve always been lean, and even at 86kg, there’s no visible fat on my body. I still have visible abs when flexing, but I’ve never had that chiseled abs look, the kind that pop without needing to flex.
Recently, I got a bit lazy with my training style, switched to Stronglifts 5x5 and focused on strength. My lifts went up, but I noticed some thick skin (especially on my face) due to the caloric needs of the program. Now I’m thinking of cutting down to around 10-11% body fat to see how I'd look.
Current maintenance: 3200cal of 175g protein, carbs are definitely on the higher side.
So, I had some doubts about how much weight should I cut in the first month, what are the key dos and don’ts for a first time cut and how do I structure my workouts to maintain as much strength and muscle as possible because I cry for days when I lose my squat and OHP PR's.

2024.11.28 20:00 Strange_Control8788 Let’s talk about Bitcoin price retractions (why they happen and when the next one is coming)

The so called “crypto winter” of 2022 shocked many new investors of crypto, and while the overall decrease in prices of Alt-coins was drastic, the history of Bitcoin tells us these retractions are quite normal-healthy, even. They seem to occur approximately a year after Bitcoin hits ATH for that cycle or 4 year period. Here are some notable past retractions.

  1. December 2013 : Bitcoin = $1000. December 2014: Bitcoin = $375.(62% drop)
2.December 2017 : Bitcoin = $17,000. December 2018 : Bitcoin = $3,200.(80% drop)
3.November 2021 : Bitcoin = $64,000. November 2022: Bitcoin = $16,000.(75% drop)
So why does this happen? And can we expect this trend to continue in the future?
The why:
For each price retraction, you can potentially argue for unique reasons why they occurred. For example, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates 7 times, from nearly 0 to 4.25-4.50%.
But in general, I believe the reliable timing of these price retractions (admittedly with only 3 data points) signal that they occur due to pure crowd psychology and the fact that demand side pressure is difficult to maintain over long periods of time-remember that demand typically increases approx. one year prior to halving and at this point in time, increased demand needs to be sustained for nearly 3 continuous years.
The factors at ATH are: 1. Investors begin taking profits. 2. People who bought near the top due to FOMO (and have little regard for fundamentals) see this correction due to selling pressure and panic sell, fueling further losses. 3. The news cycle starts to report on the “bubble bursting,” often reporting headlines without proper context (“Bitcoin down 35%!” Without stating the time period it was down 35%) 4. At this point, many investors of Bitcoin are aware of the 4 year cycle. And while they prepare for the post halving bull run, there is no historical reason for them to hold beyond this point. Panic selling ensues.
Conclusion: So will we see another price retraction?
Answer: It depends why you believe they occur. If you believe, as I do, that price retractions are fundamentally due to 2 things: 1. The difficulty in sustaining increased demand side buy pressure over 3 continuous years 2. Crowd Psychology
Then, yes, there is likely a huge price retraction coming that’s due one year post max price. If, hypothetically, Bitcoin maxes out at 150k in December 2025, history tells us that December could reveal a Bitcoin price of $50,000 (65% drop.).
If you believe that each price retraction was unique in nature, then no, there may not be one this cycle.
Cheers!
