That's one of my biggest fears at work.
I have this weird thing where I have sneezing attacks every time I eat something. I had to relearn how to sneeze after I got dentures. Instead of sneezing by putting your tongue to the roof of your mouth, like the stereotypical "achoo", I do it more like a cough now to avoid dislodging my uppers.
Fortunately I was alone this morning but I sneezed by putting the tongue to the roof of my mouth and I sneezed out my dentures into my hand.
I'm afraid that I'm going to do this at work at some point.

Years ago, while walking through Cours Montroyal mall in downtown Montreal with my mom, we were drawn into a small shop by two enthusiastic salesmen promoting a wrinkle remover cream. They assured us we'd see results in moments, so we decided to give it a try. After they applied a sample to the corner of our foreheads, we were amazed to see our wrinkles disappear almost instantly. Thrilled, we bought six more products, each promising different skincare benefits. But once we got home, my mom began to doubt the safety of the cream. She worried about the chemicals and potential side effects, and ultimately decided to toss everything away. I was frustrated…that cream had seemed like a miracle. But I eventually accepted her decision. I was only 19 at the time, after all. Fast forward to today-I'm 27 now-and I still have that wrinkle-free spot on my forehead. I'll never forget that experience. Sadly, the store closed within the same year, and the brand's name slipped my memory. I often wonder if they vanished because they posed a threat to cosmetic procedures. Regardless, I still have the proof on my forehead that it worked wonders.

2024.11.28 19:40 alternateacct54321 What's a good country to flee to if America gets bad in the near future?
I'm a transfem living in colorado, which is one of the better places to be trans in the entire world. HRT is inexpensive, informed consent is the law, and I can't say that I've ever faced any open hostility for being trans except from family (some friends have but that's still pretty rare). I really don't want to leave but with trans people becoming the favored wedge issue of a certain political party I am worried that things could get a lot worse in the next 4 years and I want to have a good flee option in mind if I end up needing it. I don't have a degree and almost all of my work experience is in blue collar fields, so I would need to look at options where you can get by ok in lower paying jobs. Also I am a monolingual english speaker, so I wouldn't want to live in a country where the language is incredibly difficult to learn for an english speaker (Thailand and Finland are out).

 | My tiler says he’s going to fix the gaps between the tile and wall/window/ceiling/curbstop, but my intuition is that it’s going to be packed with grout and then caulked. Some of these spaces are over 1/2” wide and/or deep and I feel like that’s a recipe for grout cracking and letting water sit against the wall/window/ceiling/curbstop causing rot and mildew.
