2024.11.28 21:30 enykie thoughts on choosing T14s G4 AMD or T14/P14s G5 AMD

I am about to buy a new Thinkpad. All three seem kinda the same specification vise, even the size. G5 is a little bit more expensive, but I would need a new Dockingstation because the T14s G4 doesn't have Thunderbolt. Is there something else to think about? Perhaps for using it with Linux? I remember that T14s should have a better build quality?

P.S. The new T14s G6 AMD would also be a possibility, but the new AI Ryzen looks more like a bad deal on Paper (if you don't to use any Ai stuff)

on a truck on this map there was just a ball of gunshots firing all sorts of ammo types in different directions , and i also couldnt see any other players or freindly markers, tho longer i stayed i started seeing some players but they were just still like i crashed, and in the kill cams, also it seemed that i mightve been the only person seeing this

I have this i7 3640QM and I bought it after it was recommended and told it fit the t430 and was more powerful, but after doing more research Im wishing I would have got a 35W cpu but I’ve already got this 3740QM and I got a heatsync that came from a t430 with a gpu so it’s got the extra part on it. I was just curious what are your experiences with the 3740QM? And if I should downsize or if I could make it work. Thx!

Atualmente tenho o samsung odyssey g5 34'' e é um monitor incrível para produtividade/trabalho. So this is a weird one. I was at my girlfriend’s place yesterday and everything was fine. We were talking about who of her friends could come around to visit her when she suddenly mentioned a name of a friend I’ve never heard before. I asked her who that friend was and it turns out that it’s one of her former teachers from school. (We’re both in our mid 20s). I knew about this guy before because she openly told me that she used to hang out with this one teacher from time to time after she finished school. That was already kind of strange to me. Asking her about it she told me that she used to have sexual fantasies involving him and that she definitely wanted something erotic out of their relationship. At this point I thought alright yeah, she was young, she liked the attention and it was okay for me. I also made mistakes in the past, it doesn’t matter. Turns out she’s still in contact with him sometimes and that they even meet up maybe once or twice a year. At this point I felt disgusted. I cannot describe the feeling I had in a better way. It was just weird and strange to me. Following that I told her that I do not like that at all and that I think the whole dynamic is kind of weird. She countered by telling me that I am not the one to decide who she meets up and hangs out with. I totally get her point there. I didn’t tell her:”No, you can’t meet up with him” I would never do that. I was more or less kind of hoping that she would realize that the whole situation is hurting me and that she would cut ties by herself but no way. She continued by asking me if she should just openly tell me when she meets with him or if she should just not talk about him anymore. At this point I didn’t know what to say anymore and just switched topics. I was confused and overwhelmed by the situation. I’m hurt. We’ve only been together for a little more than a month now and I really love this girl. She assured me that she doesn’t think about anything sexual anymore with him and that it’s just friendship and I know I can trust her with that but it still gives me this weird feeling. I don’t really know what to do next. Should I just leave it at that? I feel like there’s no point in bringing that topic up again and I certainly don’t want to restrict her. She’s giving me a lot of freedom and autonomy in that relationship as well - and that in a way I’ve never had it before. So should I just get over it or should I bring it up again? Am I just being irrationally jealous? For clarification, nothing sexual has actually ever happened between them.

Si je connecte les câbles avec des wago il vaut mieux le faire en amont ou en aval du variateur ? J'ai aussi 2-3 câbles avec socle E27 mais sans variateur. Peuvent ils se mélanger ? Comment savoir combien de socles puis-je mettre ?
