2024.11.28 20:40 likeOMGAWD Does anyone know where in Okemos John Ramsey grew up?

It's relatively well-known knowledge that he graduated from OHS and later MSU but I've never been able to figure out where exactly in Okemos he and his family lived? Anyone have any idea? Inquiring minds want to know!

2024.11.28 20:40 Ok_Attention_77 I watched over 15 FF movies in last 3 weeks - I review them with Michael Rosen memes

1. Horror in the High Desert (part I, II and III) - Once I went to the fridge, saw our jug in there and I thought, "What's in it?". A syrup. What syrup? Smell it: \sniffs* Mmm! Smells nice. Finger in, lick it: *slurp* *tongue-click* tastes nice. Lift the jug and drink a bit. *slurp* *tongue-click* Oh, this is good, this is *slurp* *tongue-click* peach syrup, tinned peach syrup. What a drink! So I drank the lot. *sluuurrp* *tongue-click*!* (8/10)
2. Howards Mill - Not long after, few days later, I went to the fridge, saw our jug in there. What's in it? A syrup. What syrup? Smell it. \sniffs* Mmmmm! Oh yes, this is peach syrup again. Lift the jug and drink, *slurp* and drink some more, *slurp* and drink some more, *sluuuuuurp*, *tongue-click* I drank the lot! *(10/10)**
3. Aliens. Zone of silence - Not long after, few days later, I went to the fridge, saw our jug in there. What's in it? A syrup. Yes! Here we go again! Lift the jug and fill my mouth with that thick, sweet juice! \sluuurp* Bleaaaaugh!! This isn't peach, this is... Bleeugheh! My mouth is full of oil! Thick cooking oil! *(2/10)**
5. Butterfly kisses - and everything was lovely once again, wonderful (8/10)
6. As above, so below - I had to reach up to get the cherry on the top. \pewp* Got it. *slurp* *click* Ah! In the mouth, it was lovely! (8/10)*
7. The Chest - Then onto the ice cream. \slurp* Mmm! And the chocolate sauce! Eheheh, dig in! **QUACK\ *slurp (x2)* *click* That was...a bit rich, but, okay. *(7/10)**
8. Ghost 14 - It was great, really great. (8/10)
9. Something walks in the woods - Then, I got to the trifle. Soggy cake (5/10)
10. The Awnik - Cool, just cool, into the mouth... *Blep\ Noice *(7/10)**
11.The Phoenix tapes 97 - "Alright", I said "Alright" (6/10)
12. The Phoenix incident - That was...a bit rich, but, okay (6/10)
13. Lurking - Really good (8/10)
14. The Wicksboro incident - MMmmmmm! *happy* (8/10)

2024.11.28 20:40 Potatoespotatos2 I’m not socially awkward. I’m just ugly.

Something I've noticed is people are constantly leaving me hanging or just flaking on me. Even in college I can only be friends with Christian's and they see as "unsaved" and they know it's because I'm too ugly to make friends elsewhere. It's one thing to be socially awkward but if you're ugly it's literally impossible to build a social life because if you're decent looking you can still get people your way if you're socially awkward. However if you're ugly you don't have that same luxury as people don't want to look your way much less be friends with you.
Another thing I've noticed is that I seem to only attract psychopaths who don't really care what I look like, and they just want someone they can control. I can handle being alone, but when a legitimate psychopath comes into the picture they know my place just by looking at me. And not even psychopaths of the opposite gender it's just my own gender. I've never even held hands with a girl

2024.11.28 20:40 Weekly-Title-6076 A month of small changes that made a big difference in my health (no more bloating, brain fog, or afternoon crashes)

A month of small changes that made a big difference in my health (no more bloating, brain fog, or afternoon crashes) Hey Reddit fam,
I wanted to share something that's genuinely made a huge difference for me lately. For what feels like forever, I've been dealing with constant bloating (the kind where your clothes suddenly don't fit), those brutal afternoon energy crashes, and brain fog that made even simple tasks feel impossible.
At first, I just blamed it on the usual suspects - stress, busy schedule, not eating perfectly, whatever. But it kept happening, and I started thinking there might be something bigger going on.
That's when I stumbled across research about the gut-brain axis during one of my late-night health anxiety scrolling sessions (we've all been there, right?). Mind = blown. Your gut and brain are literally in constant communication, and your gut health affects everything from your mood to your focus to your energy levels. Who knew?
I decided to dive deeper into gut health research and started implementing some changes. It's been about a month, and honestly? The difference is wild:
  • That "6-months-pregnant" bloating? Almost completely gone
  • Those 2PM energy crashes where I needed 3 coffees just to function? Way less frequent
  • The brain fog that made me feel like I was thinking through mud? Finally lifting
Here's the thing - I'm not doing anything extreme. Started with some basic lifestyle changes:
LIFESTYLE:
  • Eating slowly and mindfully (actually chewing food properly now)
  • No food 3 hours before bed
  • 15-min walks after meals
  • Basic stress management (10-min meditation)
DIET CHANGES:
  • Added fermented foods (kimchi, Greek yogurt, kefir)
  • More fiber-rich foods (chia seeds, flax, leafy greens)
  • Cut back on processed foods and sugar
  • Staying hydrated (tracking water intake)
Here's what made the biggest difference (combo of supplements):
1. Probiotic + digestive enzymes for improved digestion.

2. Mind & gut complex - really helped with brain fog and energy

3. Zinc - for gut barrier support.

4. L-Glutamine - to help repair my gut lining.

5. Vitamin complex - this reduced inflammation and helped balance my gut microbiota. (Just finished, so can't find the bottle, soooorrry!)
P.S. Not to get, what really set the stage for these changes was starting with a simple 14-day detox. It acted as a gentle reset for my gut, helping to reduce bloating, improve digestion, and make me feel lighter overall. During those two weeks, I made some big changes to my diet as well. Before, I was eating a lot of processed foods, sugary snacks, and honestly, meals that were more about convenience than nutrition.
https://preview.redd.it/bfr1u9fmep3e1.jpg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8db5cba3cea5bd82b83d626402765213e0e003c6
With the detox, I focused on eating cleaner - things like leafy greens, chia seeds, and flax, along with fermented foods like kimchi and yogurt. I cut out processed foods and drastically reduced sugar, which was a huge shift for me. It wasn’t easy at first, but by the end of the two weeks, I noticed a huge difference in how I felt. It really seemed like my body was finally ready to absorb all the good stuff I was introducing, and it motivated me to stick to healthier habits moving forward.
On top of these changes, I’ve been using this one too as part of my routine - it’s a gentle gut cleanse 14 day complex.
Plus added in anti-inflammatory foods (turmeric, ginger) and gut-soothing teas (chamomile, peppermint). The supplements combined with better eating habits really seemed to make everything click.
It's not just about digestion - my energy is better, mood is more stable, and I actually feel clear-headed again. It's wild how connected everything is.
I keep seeing posts about similar symptoms, so I'm curious - has anyone else looked into the gut-brain connection? What's worked for you?
Let's share experiences - honestly feels like this might be the missing piece for a lot of us who've been feeling "off" without knowing why.
P.S. In just a month, I’ve managed to lose 3 kg, feel lighter and more energized, and most importantly, regain control of my health. This journey has been nothing short of transformative, and I’m incredibly proud of the progress I’ve made. For the first time in a long while, I truly feel like the best version of myself!!!!!!
