So I recently purchased a 32 inch OLED gaming monitor. Alienware 32 4k QD-OLED curved. Side by side with my Asus rog 32 2k sure it looks better but is it worth the 900 $ price tag? That depends..but for me its not. Things to consider before shelling out a decent amount of money. Do you play games in 4k? I honestly do not. Reason being it drastically drops frames. Thats comman sense and I should of known that before. Plus how many true 4k games are even good? People say cyberpunk..who the hell even plays that? Sure 60 fps is enough to get by in maybe a MMO? The difference in 2k-4k is noticiable for sure. But again in fps type games nobody would play in 4k. Then you have people say well movies look insane. True but I would never relax and watch a movie at my desk lol. I rather be cozy in bed or on the couch.
Then you have the streamers. Nobody but your self will see the beautiful graphics. So thats pointess to have a 4k oled monitor. The stream visuals would benefit from your GPU. The only major positive I can give for gaming is the response time is insane. You can move back and fourth cam wise without pixel loss. Meaning no lag, studdering etc. The color depth is also great. But you can achieve rich colors on a non OLED monitor, not quite as vibrant but close.
If money is not an issue then by all means spend away. I honestly feel OLEDs will be the standard very soon if not already. But again 900 to 1500 is a decent amount of cash. Perhaps I will return this monitor and buy a 2k OLED. Happy gaming!

Hi guys. Do you think its just as bad for a woman to want a man for his money as it is for a man to want a woman for her body? Because I've noticed that men will say that they wouldn't want to continue a long-term relationship with a woman if she doesn't give him sex or is sexually incompatible with her because sexual compatibility is a priority to them despite her matching all other qualifications to him. Would it then be just as valid for a lady to discontinue pursuing a long-term relationship with a man because of his salary even though he may match all qualifications to her. Alright, buckle up, Reddit. I need to know if I’m justified here or if I’m overreacting. My Thanksgiving this year was absolutely destroyed by my sister, and I don’t even know where to begin.
To set the stage: my sister, let’s call her Sarah, has always been a little… out there. She’s into wild conspiracy theories, crystal healing, and once tried to convince our entire family to go “off the grid” by buying a plot of land in the middle of nowhere. But this year, she really outdid herself.
Thanksgiving started off normal enough—family arriving, drinks flowing, turkey roasting in the oven. Sarah showed up late, which is par for the course, but this time she came in with three goats. Real, live goats. She announced they were “emotional support animals” and they had to stay inside because “the weather was bad for their chakras.”
My wife immediately nixed the goat thing, but Sarah started sobbing and accusing us of being “spiritually bankrupt.” I caved and let the goats stay in the mudroom to avoid a scene (spoiler: huge mistake).
While the rest of us were catching up in the living room, Sarah disappeared into the kitchen. When my wife went to check on her, she found Sarah smudging the turkey with sage to “cleanse its aura.” She said she had to “undo the violence” of how the turkey had been “raised in a system of oppression.” I told her to knock it off because, you know, dinner was supposed to start in an hour, but she just gave me this smug smile and said, “You’ll thank me when your spirit is aligned.”
Cut to 30 minutes later, and I’m carving the turkey when I notice… something’s off. The meat is weirdly… blue? Turns out, Sarah had injected the turkey with some kind of homemade “plant-based healing broth.” She didn’t ask. She didn’t tell anyone. She just did it because she thought it would “neutralize the negative energy” of eating meat. I was furious but didn’t want to ruin dinner, so I set the turkey aside and focused on the sides. (Thank God my wife made a ham as a backup.)
But wait, it gets worse.
While we’re sitting down to eat, one of the goats escapes the mudroom and comes barreling into the dining room, climbs onto the table, and starts eating the stuffing straight out of the serving bowl. Chaos ensues—kids are screaming, wine is spilling, and my dad is yelling at Sarah to “get her damn goats under control.” Sarah? She just starts laughing hysterically, saying this was “karma” for us trying to eat animals in the first place.
At this point, I lost it. I told her she needed to leave. She started screaming about how she was being “persecuted for her beliefs” and how I’m “enslaved by the patriarchy of Big Turkey.” When she finally stormed out, she took all three goats, but not before sprinkling some kind of glittery powder all over the dining table and shouting, “Bless this house, even though it’s full of carnivores!”
The powder turned out to be turmeric and mica, which stained the tablecloth and got into literally everything. My wife had to throw out three side dishes, and I spent the rest of the evening cleaning up goat droppings.
Now Sarah is blowing up the family group chat, saying I’m a controlling, closed-minded AH who doesn’t respect her lifestyle. My mom thinks I should just let it go to keep the peace, but I told Sarah she’s not invited next year. My wife 100% agrees, but now some of my cousins are saying I’m overreacting and that Sarah “means well.”
So, Reddit… AITAH for banning my sister from Thanksgiving? Or am I justified in not wanting to spend another holiday chasing goats and eating glitter-turkey?
