For a bit of background my (27f) dad (49m) claims to be native with not enough blood quantum to be recognized. He looks Hispanic, his mom is white (with German heritage) and he doesn't know his dad. I look and claim to be very white, this may be relevant. We were watching the Doctor Who episode with Rosa Parks, and my dad made a comment that if he was on the bus he would have stood up for her. I told him that's easy to say from his place of privilege, having never been in that situation. This sparked an argument about the struggle that natives had vs. the struggles that black people had in the beginning of this country. I'm not really sure what that had to do with my point, but the argument happened. I'm honestly concerned that I might be being racist in the situation but my whole point is that he himself has never personally dealt with those struggles, so speaking on how other people should have handled it, or how he thinks he would have handled it is not really his place. I'm just not sure that it's even my place at all to be speaking when I have the most privilege in the conversation, but it also feels like he tried to start this argument about how things were before he was even alive to completely derail the point I was making. AITA?

Alright sociologists and sociological thinkers. Why is the world experiencing so many social extremes at the moment and such division. It seems that if there is a subject that exists, it will be pushed to its limits and made into something divisive. Religion, politics, gender or race issues, and all manner of other topics. Is this an identity vacuum? And if so why? Is this the loss of tradition? And therefore the loss of meaning? Is this cyclical? In what ways? In what ways is it entirely novel? I’m sure the internet plays a large role. A new medium that is essentially unvetted and provides a microphone to anyone willing to use it. Are we just in a shaken snow globe waiting for the proper vetting of a new technology to allow it to settle? There also seem to be a real dearth of adults at the moment. Childhood, which in the form we know it, started post WW2 with the boomers. Different culture- clothes, music, so on- for children and adults. Adulthood, which may have started at 16 or 18- has consistently been pushed back. Early 20s, late 20s, 30s… later ages for dating, work, marriage. Has this Peter Pan generation made childhood completely consume adulthood so we just have one youth culture? Acting in a more rash, emotional and less mature manner? I’m throwing out some ideas but I’m curious about anything others are thinking and have to offer. What the hell is happening here?

I was really interested in looking for the N Performance brakes (and any necessary OE hardware to go with) and intake, and maybe the N Performance spoiler, but I haven’t seen many vendors carry these domestically if any.

I’ve told her to leave him she’s better without him and refuses to. Then when she’s in doubt and says should she leave him I say yes and she argues with me about how much he’s misunderstood and blah blah blah.
