Saw a post about bruising so thought I’d share mine. This was two weeks after surgery and lasted until four weeks post. Completely gone by week 6 (tomorrow). Physio mentioned it could be down to meniscus debridement or how heavy-handed the surgeon was (not necessarily a bad thing).

2024.11.29 00:53 Aesyric Half my players want to stay on 2014 5e, and half want to swap to 2024 5.5e. What to do?
To keep it brief, I've got six players at my table and we ran a brief four session campaign as a break from our main campaign to play with the new ruleset.
While we all acknowledge there is a lot of good stuff in the new ruleset, the group is torn about swapping to new rules on our old campaign.
Three of the players want to keep that campaign and those characters with the old ruleset because they don't want the hassle of moving characters over to the new ruleset (updating sheets, new spells, etc). We also have an unofficial class at the table playing the Wild Oracle and she worries about moving that class into the new ruleset.
Meanwhile, the other three players want to swap because they are excited at the idea of their classes getting buffs. Our stars druid wants those extra spells charges, and our fighter wants to do more than just attack every turn and likes the weapon masteries.
As the DM I'm pretty torn, as I think both sides have valid points. We've all agreed that for a new campaign we would swap, but we don't plan on ending this campaign for at least another 6 months if not more. I don't want anyone to feel like I'm ignoring their opinions, but I've gotta make a call as the tiebreaker and DM.
Any opinions?

So I’m in my late 20s with no degree and only some college CS courses from years ago. All of my professional experience is basically in sales / account management, and I’ve made it an objective to pivot my career into IT.
Under several peer recommendations, I have recently begun studying for my CompTIA A+. However, in the meantime I’ve seen much conflicting information about whether or not CompTIA certs alone can be enough to find even entry-level IT work. In order to gauge whether these studies are the best use of my time at the moment, I’m in search of some first-hand experience from those who have stated from a similar place as me.
I’d appreciate some info from those with just their CompTIA who have been successful (or unsuccessful so far) in finding IT work. For those who have found it, how long did it take, and what was the state of the job market when you found it? For those who haven’t been able to land anything, do you have any insight as to why? Is it simply the state of the job market, or has something led you to realize you’d need a degree?

I have a best friend that i think of a sister live with me for the past 2 years, everyone thinks she has a thing for me. (We have separate bedrooms) I have had a male partner for 20 yrs+. She gets increasing jealous over me, especially when I'm with my BF or kids. Last week I went to my Daughters to go bingo and my fella went to play PlayStation with her BF, we got bk to my Daughters and had a few coffees and I had a shower, got a txt off (sister) aka where was I. Got no she was sat on her bed and I said hello and we was bk, IGNORED!! She screamed at me me asking why I had brought that 'useless ballbag' with me and then decided to square upto my partner and when he wouldn't take her on she (VERY DRUNK) SWUNG at my me twice after me asking her 10+ times to leave my bedroom, I'm ashamed to say I punched her in the face. She left soon after to go bk to her mouldy ridden nasty flat. That was last Saturday, she apologised on Tuesday and said she could stay as long as we put proper rules down. My BF laughed at her apology as it's not the first time shes done this... ×15!! Her flat is a hell hole, the landlord won't do anything about it and I feel bad if I have to to put her bk in that situation. What do you all think? I have an LG OLED55CXPUA tv connected to an AppleTV 4K in, connected to a Sonos Amp by HDMI with eARC. Also a turntable connected to the line level input on the Amp. (And a second Amp for surrounds, and a sub).
I want to add a CD player to the mix but I don’t want to have to remove the turntable to connect it. And ideally it could play CD audio to the surrounds (which wouldn’t be possible with the line level input).
Anyone have any recommendations?
Are there any options for using HDMI? I was hoping I could find a CD player that supported eARC pass through so that the TV could still control the volume of the Amp while watching AppleTV. But then the CD player could control the volume of the Amp when listening to audio cds.
If not - maybe a good HDMI switch supporting eARC? Ideally this switch could be as automatic (input sensing) to the best degree possible.
What about a CD player that could stream to the Amp over AirPlay 2?

It was clearly after TLTWATW. The Pevensey children are now adults and appear to be living in London. Lately, some of them are having what you might call intrusive memories of their time in Narnia. They see glimpses of people and places from Narnia, but at first are dismissing them as illusions. They have different memories, and not all are keen to get pulled back into their other lives.
Of course, they do go back.
It's been so long since I saw this, I may have conflated it with bits from other sources.
