From what I've seen, it's harder to find a switch with a deeper sound profile that's also quite light (sub-45 grams maybe). I have Oil Kings that I used for about 2 days, but it hindered my typing speed greatly as I type at about 150+ wpm and bottom out. I was just wondering if there was a lighter switch that sounded similar to Oil Kings as I love the sound, but would want to be able to type as fast as possible on them from the get-go rather than having to adjust, as a lot of my work and uni assignments are dependent on typing. I've looked at KTT Kang Whites, and recently bought some CIY Sakuras that have a slightly deeper sound profile than what I was using before and are extremely easy to type on, but I'm hoping there are other options out there that offer a deeper sound. Budget is probably something around 40 USD, as I don't really want to pay Oil King prices for another set of switches. Thanks in advance.

Hi i recently purchased a property and it unfortunately came out around £3000 more then i could afford when i got my final purchase bill, unfortunately i had to find that money asap and family was the only place i could take it from. Now 2 months later because of this and some unexpected costs with the property i am around £4000 in debt to my family with no way in the foreseable future to pay this off. That toppled with the fact i have no savings no and owe some further financed items that i bought before the property is destroying my mental health.
I recently thought of doing a consolidation loan at a rate i can quite feasibly afford which would be £6500 over 5 years which is £160 a month. My new property is fixed term at £481 for 5 years fyi.
I think i can A- afford this quite easily on a monthly basis. B- it would void the guilt of owing my family money. C- it would now give me a safety net of savings
I am just wanting a bit of advice on this situation as i am unsure on the best course of action.
For ref i earn around £27-35k p/a depending on how much OT i want to do that month

So I live in Canada and was looking in to Nike Superflys. I ordered a pair from Unisport.com.
Unfortunately after making my order I was going through their website and noticed a statement saying the do not ship Nike products outside of Europe, “if an order has been made it will be stopped”. Understandable just annoyed with myself I did not notice that detail.
My question is if anyone has experienced the same event? If so, did you successfully receive a refund, or do i expect to be down 300$.

Fosi BT20A Pro - 32v or 48v power supply? Looking at switching up my setup from active speakers to a passive setup. Curious if it’s worth jumping to the 48v power supply or stick with the standard 32v?
Current setup is an AT LP-120 w/ removed onboard preamp and a U-Turn Pluto 2 preamp. Sold my Audio Engine A5+ active speakers in anticipation of a smaller form factor and potentially better setup.
Will most likely be grabbing a set of Wharfedale 220 speakers.

So, the news has come regarding Brandt's injury, and it'll be unlikely that he can suit up vs. Munich ( Kehl has come out and speculated that it's a muscle issue ). There seem to be a few alternatives that we could do, and I wanted to gauge opinions on these possible alternatives:

  1. Scrap the 10. If Sahin decides to scrap the 10, I could see him running a 433, similar to what we just ran against Zagreb. This would likely be a midfield combo of Nmecha ( deepest ) and SabitzeGroß as the 8's.
  2. Scrap the 10 pt. 2. This is another variation, but it would be a 4222. Here, Beier and Guirassy would start up top, with two wingers ( likely Malen and Gittens ) and Nmecha and SabitzeGroß as the pivot.
  3. Run the10 w/ Reyna. Reyna is easily the most natural Brandt replacement ( given they're both 10s and much better through the middle of the pitch ). The only concern is Gio's lack of playtime this year. Before the Zagreb game, he'd only played 21 minutes, so I'm not sure he'd be suitable for a full 60-90. That said, I trust Gio in this 10 role; I'm just uneasy about his injury concerns.
  4. Run the 10 w/ Beier. Beier hasn't run the 10 role, but I think he could do it. I thought he was poor up top against Zagreb, but he will massively benefit with Guirassy being reintroduced into the mix of things.
  5. Run the 10 w/ Sabi or Groß. This is another alternative, though it's a far shout. I think both Sabi and Groß could certainly play up high, but I'm not sure this is what Sahin will opt for.
I think the most likely options will be a 433 or the 4222 ( so options 1/2 ). Of the remaining three options, Reyna starting in the 10 is presumably the most likely, but it's dependent on how much Sahin trusts his health. I'd be shocked if he gave the 10 role to Beier or Sabi/Groß, though those are both possibilities.

So, I came from a military and ham radio / hobby period. I knew how to make things and practical applications. When I got to Senior Design 1, it was like being in a true briar patch. Nailed every assignment with creativity that awed even the professors. Not from talent, but experience. Wisdom was an amazing friend here. I seriously watched fellow students “crater”, while I thrived (I even helped others by mentoring them on practical applications and resources).
My final challenge was to produce 10 nanosecond pulses with a minimum of 500V. Mine produced 700V, to the glee of the TeraHz researchers.
To me, this was a fun challenge. Lots of late hours finding the right semiconductors that would “avalanche” when triggered. But man, I was really proud to produce a box that exceeded expectations.
So, my question is, what other “non-traditional” students are out there that “thrived” when the time came to actually build something?
