My BoxePit is 13 and was just diagnosed with pneumonia yesterday. We were given 2 antibiotics to give with food. Last night after the vet visit, we were only able to get a partial dose in her. Today, she threw up after eating some breakfast, ate a little more and we gave another partial because it was too tough to get it in her. Tonight she ate some dinner, immediately threw up everything. Can’t give meds on an empty stomach. Calling the vet in the morning to see about an anti nausea & probiotic but now also thinking if this might be time to say goodbye. I feel so bad because if the meds will knock it out of her and she’ll be fine then do we owe it to her to try it? But at what cost if she can’t keep anything down?

2024.11.29 01:51 Big6ie Stopping treatment early
My mom currently has three chemo sessions left in her treatment plan. She has been getting smaller doses the last couple of times as this has been kicking her ass.
She is diabetic and the neuropathy in her hands is becoming unbearable which was told to her before treatment and her bloodwork has been becoming worse as far as other health concerns. She is convinced that it’s the chemo and thinks this is making her health concerns related to her diabetes as well as her iron levels a greater problem.
Her doctors at the last visit didn’t really have much to say about her quitting treatment and the consequences of doing so. They said they support any choice she makes but had no info on what quitting treatment at this time would mean. She has been getting treatment since around June I believe.
I guess I’m lost on whether to agree with her or to gently push her to the finish line. Anyone have similar experiences with family wanting to stop early and did things turn out ok or did it lead to a greater challenge?

Hi y’all.
Starting Ro Sema tomorrow night. I came down from 24@ with diet and hard work, but have been stuck at 205-210 for months. Bad apnea and snoring and general low esteem.
Is sema simply (I don’t mean that negatively) a hunger suppressor though slowing digestion? I hear it helps with glucose, but is that cuz we eat less sugar?
Any tips for tomorrow or Saturday?
