I adopted her from the garbage and she still had the information card inside her. I keep her out of direct light and I water her with five ice cubes every week (that’s what the instructions said). She hasn’t grown for over 2 months now. She also sticks out of the soil a little, but does that matter?

I (24f) am the only child to a divorced, bipolar mom (56). Both of my mom’s parents have passed away and she doesn’t have a great relationship with her only sibling. Without going into all the details we have always had a rocky to bad relationship (ie she’s always struggled with taking her medication properly/eating disorders all my life. Has been in an extended stay rehab and a few 72 hour holds) which got better when I moved 5 hours away for college. Since graduating a few years ago I moved in with my boyfriend (now fiancé as of last month) and rarely go back home, once or twice usually for the Holidays. This Thanksgiving I decided to invite her up with my in laws to spend time as a big family (grandparents, cousins, friends, etc). My dad has multiple siblings and parents close by which is why I wanted to try and include my mom. I thought the week was going well - she was getting along with everyone at dinner and talking about how hopefully she can come next year (“if SHE will have me” referring to myself). As I’m sitting next to her in the car ride home I can see her texting multiple people how she wants to go home, how I prefer my in laws to her, how I’ve just been rolling my eyes at her and avoiding her the whole time, and how I’ve turned into a “hateful b*tch” who she does not like spending time with. Keep in mind she is always asking me to visit more. She left a day early to go be with some male friend an hour and a half away and I’m just at a loss. My fiancés family was so welcoming plus her and I didn’t even get into some huge argument, so to see these texts has me so caught off guard. Once again I feel like I know her and yet don’t know her at all. I am now thinking of revising my Christmas travel plans to exclude my hometown (sorry dad but he understands) and want to know if this seems justified. I am to a point where I cannot be the bigger person anymore! Thoughts or advice from anyone who experiences this as well are appreciated.

2024.11.30 00:00 GirliePop7259 Spouse moved home while I deployed. Coming home about a month earlier than expected, can I break the lease with military orders or no?
I’m trying to figure out if I can use my orders when I get home to break the lease about a month earlier, so 11 months into a 12 month lease. Orders saying that I have to be at my assigned duty station (about 18 hours from “home”) and we need to move. Don’t know if it’s possible or not as this has never happened before.

Just a little word of caution for those of you who end up returning something. Make sure you double check your refund and that everything adds up properly.
When the Pockets restocked, in my haste to snag one, I accidentally ordered the wrong color. By the time I noticed it, it was too late to cancel the order. My credit card offers return protection so I knew they would cover the restocking fee, so I placed another order for the color I actually wanted. As soon as I got the Pocket, I initiated a return understanding that there was a restocking fee and that the shipping was not refundable. Sent the Pocket and even though I did have to follow up, I got my refund relatively quickly. However, the amount was not adding up. My refund was short and it was exactly the amount of the taxes. When I reached out to Analogue and provided my math, they said that they do not return the sales tax but as a courtesy, they were going to refund it for me.
This is absolute BS! They do not get to keep the sales tax. The sales tax is collected on behalf of the state and they only pay it to the state on the sales made. I don't know if they simply made a mistake and were trying to say face, but if they really are keeping the sales tax on returns, that is some really shady stuff they are pulling.
So make sure that you do the math and make sure your refund is whole and if not, make sure they make it right. Don't put extra money in their pockets for no reason.

For context, I made a post here 2 weeks ago because I accidentally listened to city of evil. Then I decided to listen to their whole discography and I really really enjoyed it. That's why I'm gonna make a review of each album. I'm not really good at making reviews so I'm gonna try my best lol.
1) sounding the seventh trumpet It's a really monotonous album imo. I didn't really like it that much, though it has some certified bangers, like "an epic time wasted". 6/10
2) walking the fallen This albums is actually fantastic. I LOVED the vocals on almost every song, and the guitar is fantastic. My favourite song has to be chapter four. 8.5/10
3) city of evil This is my FAVOURITE album, and in fact it's one of my favourite albums of all time. It's also one of the few albums that I find near perfect. Truly an amazing piece Of art. I haven't felt like that for a band except from Radiohead, agents of oblivion, and now a7x. I don't have a favourite song as every song is my favourite lol. 10/10
4) self titled I enjoyed it, and I can see why most of their commercial success comes from this album. It has lots of bangers, and the vocals are out of this world. My favourite song is unbound, and the meaning is really beautiful. 8/10
5) nightmare This is my second favourite album, and once again, one of my favourite albums of all time! Its not as good as city of evil but it's really close. It's probably their most emotional album, especially with tracks like victim and so far away. My favourite song is save me, It's as if our dreams are asking us to save them because the world is a cruel and vile place. 9.5/10
6) hail to the king They kinda changed the tone in this album. Its as if they took heavy inspiration from bands like Metallica, especially in the song hail to the king. My favourite song has to be shepherd or fire. 7/10
7) the stage I LOVED this album. It had a noticeable change in their style, and it's fair to say that I loved it. I don't have much to say about it, other than the existential crisis that i had after listening to it. It felt really dreamy, and out of this world. My favourite song is exist. The guitar is really, REALLY beautiful and the lyrics are amazing. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. 9/10
8) diamonds in the rough I don't have anything bad to about it. Some songs were good, and others were REALLY good. My favourite song is the fight. 7.5/10
9) life is but a dream Holy shit, this album is amazing. It shows how much they've matured throughout the years, and they use their talent at their fullest. The best song in this album is probably cosmic, especially on the second half. One of their most emotional songs imo. I still don't understand the lyrics but that's okay. 8.5/10
All in all, A7X became my second or third favourite band in a matter of weeks. I really enjoyed their discography and I'm looking forward for more releases! Id love some recommendations, bands similar A7X.
