What is with companies that offer a poutine and then serve a bowl of fried with gravy and melted shredded cheese? I was on my way home at around 9-10pm this week and stopped at one of the ubiquitous pizza joints to grab a late dinner. Decided to order the poutine only to get home and realize that I had been bamboozled with shredded cheddar and nary a curd in sight. Good fries and gravy, but don't call yourself a poutine unless you have the squeakers to back you up. Even McDonald's knows enough to use curds in their slop buckets.

At the last minute on Tue., I got booked to board a 1.5 year old pitty pup from Wed. afternoon until Mon. night, as the owner's sitter cancelled. I asked a few questions, like pictures of the pup, whether he gets along with other animals (I have one M dog and one M cat), and if he's potty trained. Owner sent pics (he's adorable), said he does fine with dogs and doesn't bother cats, and is potty trained.
The pup is a sweetheart, but I've definitely had some issues. First, not even two hours after the owner left, he peed on the coffee table & living room rug. I was really surprised because he had just been outside with my dog and had pottied. I texted the owner about it and asked if I just needed to limit his water intake and owner said yes, so that's what I've been doing. The rug is machine washable, but he also peed on my school yearbooks, thankfully only hitting the hard cover and not the sheets.
He is NOT good with cats. Every time he sees my cat, he rushes to attack. My poor boy has been either hiding under my bed or in the laundry room (his food and litter box are there) when he can get there since the dog is outside.
I've been having to kennel the pup because he's acting way too hyper and jealous to where I'm barely allowed to touch my dog or the pup starts guarding me and getting all up in my face. My dog takes it like a champ, but he's so sad. There are times where I'm able to have them both on top/near me and I can give them both love.
I've been home 24/7 since Wednesday, so I've been able to establish a sort of routine for the water, and I take him out to potty constantly. But then, just now while I myself was using the bathroom, I came out to find that he'd peed on my yoga mat. I've tried rinsing it off but yoga mats are basically thin sponges and I'm pretty sure it's ruined. I let him out only an hour ago, and he's only had a bit of water.
I'm not saying I can't handle all of this, but I can't stand dishonest owners and my stuff being ruined. Any advice?
